The Scots are four points off the pace of Slovakia and need to close the gap this evening. Strachan will be desperate for further quality from his side in the final third, while hoping they can keep the home side out.
Scotland came within seconds of recording a memorable comeback against England last time out. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had put the Three Lions ahead, but two stunning efforts from Leigh Griffiths put Gordon Strachan's side on the brink of victory. However, Harry Kane scored in stoppage time to claim a point for England.
Lithuania cannot afford to drop points and will be aiming to put in a similar performance that saw them almost snatch victory at Hampden Park last year.
After making an unbeaten start to their qualifying campaign Edgaras Jankauskas' men have lost their last three matches on the bounce. Since their win over Malta they've been hammered by Slovakia, beaten by England and edged out by Slovakia on home soil last time out.
Time is running out for both teams to press their claims for a playoff spot in Group F. Scotland are four points off the pace of second-place Slovakia, while Lithuania are seven points behind with four matches remaining. A result is imperative for the home side this evening.

Lithuania have made four changes from their defeat to Slovakia last time out. Ernestas Setkus comes into the side between the sticks, while Georgas Freidgeimas, Tadas Kijanskas and Arturas Zulpa all get the starts tonight.
Strachan has made three changes to his side from their draw against England. James McArthur, Matt Phillips and James Forrest all start this evening, while Griffiths continues to lead the line following his brace against the Three Lions last time out.

FLASHBACK! Scotland needed a last-minute strike from McArthur to salvage a point from their earlier clash against Lithuania last year. Fiodor Cernych had put Lithuania ahead in the 59th minute and they were on course for a famous victory, but were denied at the death.

Scotland had a dream 45 minutes for Gordon Strachan as his men take a 2-0 lead into the break against Lithuania. Stuart Armstrong put the visitors ahead in the 25th minute before Andy Robertson doubled their advantage with a fine strike five minutes later. It's no more than Scotland have deserved and Strachan will be desperate for his side to maintain their levels of performance for another 45 minutes.
