49'
CHANCE SPURS! Almost a fourth for Tottenham today and a third for Kane after more good attacking football by the visitors. Eriksen was allowed far too much space to dribble into the box and pass the ball into the feet of Kane for a simple tap-in, but his shot is blocked and turned away for a corner. Kane then was just inches away from scoring from the corner, Dier rose highest to get the flick on and Kane somehow manages to miss the ball.

No changes from either side at the break, will Huddersfield be able to pull a goal back or will Spurs continue to open up this Town defence and extend their lead?

OFF THE CROSSBAR! What a great chance for Huddersfield to pull a goal back here, a superb strike by Laurent Depoitre which as Lloris beaten from 25 yards out, but it smashes against the woodwork and out of play. It was a good counter-attack by Town after being put under a lot of pressure from Tottenham a sustained period. Depoitre hasn't touched the ball much today and has been starved of assistance but he did very well there.
40'
STAT: The Terriers last beat Tottenham in April 1956, recording a 2-1 away win in the top flight. It will take a remarkably turn around here today for Town to come away with any points from this game.
38'
Not long to go here until the half-time whistle and it is Tottenham on top at the moment, they are camped inside the Town half and are looking to extend their lead here.
36'
Kane has the ball in the back of the net again! However, it is ruled out for offside! The Spurs man thought he had just managed to stay onside to meet Eriksen's lofted ball over the defence and Kane volleyed the ball past Lossl and into the back of the net, but the linesman rightly had his flag up.
34'

33'
Decent chance for Huddersfield! Van La Parra cuts inside and beat Jan Vertonghen, he then fires a low cross across the box looking for Ince but Alderweireld manages to get a touch to it and it goes all the way out for a throw-in.
31'
OFF THE POST! Alli strikes the post from close range and goes incredibly close to making it four-nil! Huddersfield were carved apart then by Alli, he turned his defender far too easily and then tried to slot the ball past Lossl and looked to have beat him, just the far post stood in his way.
30'
Spurs have done well to limit the threat from Australian international Aaron Mooy here today, Mooy has been in superb form so far this season but has barely touched the ball today, with Eric Dier and Harry Winks doing well in midfield.
28'
Huddersfield continue to push numbers forward and play attacking football here despite the scoreline, they have played well, but have unfortunately come up again a Spurs team in wonderful form away from home and a striker in Harry Kane, who is one of the best in-form strikers in the world at the moment.
26'

Another assist for Trippier today, once again playing the ball to Kane who once again shows his class with a fine strike.
SPURS HAVE THREE! Kane with a fabulous strike from the edge of the area, straight into the top left-hand corner to give Tottenham a three-nil lead here at the John Smith Stadium. The striker collected the ball from Trippier, allowed to run across his body, took a touch and then fired a powerful shot at goal which left Lossl with no chance.
20'
ALMOST ANOTHER! Huddersfield are incredibly lucky not to be three-nil now after a huge mistake from Lossl to almost gift Kane another goal here. The Town keeper was far to sloppy on the ball, slicing his clearance and allows Kane to nick the ball past him just a few yards from goal, luckily for Lossl the angle was too tight for Kane to strike at goal, so he had to cut back inside to work an angle which allowed Lossl to pounce on the ball.
19'
PENALTY SHOUT! Huddersfield are appealing for a penalty here after Davinson Sanchez and Kachunga come together on the edge of the box, the Town supporters are furious but nothing is given by the officials.
16'
B. Davies has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
GOOOAAALLL SPURS DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Ben Davies passes the ball into the back of the net to give Tottenham a two-nil lead here. It was excellent build up play by Spurs. Kane flicked the ball onto Eriksen who tried to use his trickery to beat Chris Lowe, but in trying to clear the ball, Lowe accidently passes the ball straight to the lurking Davies who only had the keeper to beat, and his does so with ease.
14'
STAT: Kane scored and was then sent off at the John Smith's Stadium in February 2011, while on loan at Leyton Orient. His one and only career red card.

H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by K. Trippier.
An excellent timed header over the top of the Town defence by Trippier, allowed Kane to stay onside and then easily beat the ball deep in the Huddersfield box and then fire Spurs into the lead here.
GOOOAAALLL SPURS LEAD! It's that man again, Harry Kane! Just as Huddersfield seemed to be on top, Tottenham have burst the bubble and they now lead here. Keiran Trippier headed over the top of the defence for Kane, after a poor ball out by Jonas Lossl, Kane then outpaced the Town defenders and then fired the ball past Lossl in the Town goal. Perhaps the keeper should have saved it, being at his near post but Kane and Tottenham won't mind one bit.
8'
Huddersfield are certainly the team on top at the moment, they are putting Spurs under pressure and the away side look slightly rattled now. They are keeping the ball in the Tottenham half, forcing the defence into making a couple of mistakes, just lacking a shot at goal at the end of it.
6'
Good football by Huddersfield, they have got the crowd off their feet and creating a fantastic atmosphere here. It started with a good strike by skipper Tommy Smith, forcing Hugo Lloris into making a diving save to his right, a comfortable save by a very good goalkeeper but a decent effort to record a shot on target early on. Town then continue to press but their final ball comes to nothing. Good start to the game.
4'
Spurs have started the game well and are enjoying the majority of possession but Town are putting them under plenty of pressure, especially the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Kane when they get into the Terriers half of the pitch.
3'
Huddersfield Town have lost only two of their 17 top-flight home games against Tottenham. The last league meeting between these sides ended 1-1 in Division One in March 1972 at Leeds Road.

We're underway!
CHANCE SPURS! A very good opportunity for Tottenham to get on the scoresheet so early on ant it is Harry Kane with the chance! The striker was given too much time and space deep in the box to turn, but Huddersfield did well to get numbers back and Jonathon Hogg blocks his attempt on goal. The resulting corner is cleared by Town.
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of our Premier League clash between Huddersfield and Tottenham.
Spurs have won their last five league away games either side of the summer break, scoring an impressive 21 goals, equalling a club record for successive Premier League away wins. Another one today against the Terriers will break it.
Tottenham can break a club record of successive Premier League away wins with victory at Huddersfield today and move to within two points of Manchester City and United.
Premier League newcomers Huddersfield, have a job on their hands to contain Spurs. Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has overseen 19 league games against newly promoted sides, winning seven more points against them than anyone else in this period.
However, they will not be taking Huddersfield for granted. The Terriers have started the season well and so far, only Manchester United have kept more league clean sheets than Huddersfield. Furthermore, only Manchester City and United have conceded fewer Premier League goals than Huddersfield, who have taken nine points from their first six games. A victory today for the Terriers would see them move ahead of their opponents and into the top four.
TEAM NEWS: David Wagner looks to extend his sides good start to the season and makes just one change to his team, with Rajiv van La Parra replacing Abdelhamid Sabiri.
TEAM NEWS: Tottenham are in sensational form at the moment, so Pochettino makes just two changes to the side which beat West Ham last weekend. Kieran Trippier replaces the suspended Serge Aurier at right-back, while Harry Winks comes in to midfield in place of Moussa Sissoko.
The teams are out here at the John Smith Stadium and kick-off is just minutes away. Stay tuned for all of the match action!
