With seconds remaining, Kasper Schmeichel will go into the referee's book for time wasting.
90' +4
CRIES FOR A PENALTY FROM THE TOTTENHAM PLAYERS as Danny Rose goes down in a heap but the referee instantly waives away the protests and indicates that Ndidi won the ball – and replays suggest that the referee was correct in his assessment.
90' +3
Lamela takes an in-swinging corner-kick which is met by Dier but the England centre-back makes contact with the top of his head and the ball springs up and over the crossbar. This will allow Leicester to waste away valuable seconds and try to kill off the game.
90' +2
Tottenham are throwing everyone forward in the hopes of a last second goal, but Leicester have been extremely organized and solid defensively. Tottenham will need better delivery if they want to score.
90'
The referee has indicated that there will be four added minutes at the end of this match.
89'
É. Lamela gets yellow.
Lamela is given a yellow card after hitting Iborra in the face while trying to hold off the Leicester City midfielder when receiving a pass.
88'
I. Slimani enters the game and replaces J. Vardy.
Leicester City’s third and final substitution sees Leicester’s other goal-scorer, Jamie Vardy, removed in favour of Islam Slimani. Vardy has chased down every loose ball tonight and looks understandably exhausted.
86'
Confusion in the box between Schmeichel and Chilwell as the defender attempts to clear whilst the goalkeeper wanted to catch and collect. It was a moment of panic as the Tottenham attackers began to close in, but Ndidi managed to volley the ball up field and away from danger.
83'
H. Choudhury enters the game and replaces S. Okazaki.
Shinji Okazaki is removed from play as on comes Choudhury in an attempt to prevent another Tottenham goal and secure all three points.
82'
Lamela is once again involved as he sends a cross to the far-post where Son was unmarked but Simpson does just enough to get in position and clear the ball, if only for a moment. Possession remains with Tottenham through a throw-in inside Leicester City’s half.
Minute
Description
79'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by É. Lamela.
With his first touch of a ball after more than a year of absence, Lamela earns an assist for his part in Harry Kane's goal.
HARRY KANE GETS ONE BACK AND LAMELA MAKES AN INSTANT IMPACT! Son passes the ball for Lamela just outside the penalty area and the Argentine playmaker immediately puts the ball through for Kane who smashes the ball high into the net with Schmeichel unable to do more than flap at it. 2-1 Leicester but Tottenham have their lifeline!
77'
D. Gray enters the game and replaces R. Mahrez.
É. Lamela enters the game and replaces C. Eriksen.
Erik Lamela will enter the fray with just under 15 minutes left to play. His first appearance in over a year for Tottenham comes in a substitute for Eriksen.
Claude Puel’s first substitution sees Riyad Mahrez, scorer of Leicester City’s second goal, leave the pitch for young Demarai Gray.
75'
HOW HAS ERIKSEN MISSED THAT CHANCE?! The ball comes into the box via a Son cross and it ricochets off Danny Simpson across the face of goal to Eriksen who was unmarked and had the whole net to aim at. The Dane hits the loose ball on a half-volley and sends it well wide of the far post. All it required was a simple tap but he has somehow managed to skew his effort.
73'
Eriksen is once again at the centre of the Tottenham attack as the creative midfielder sends a ball over the top for Harry Kane but the English striker is marked well by Morgan and once again, Spurs’ pressure is relieved by a big Leicester clearance. Tottenham have done very well to get into attacking areas but have not found the key pass to unlock the door. Their delivery today has been very poor and with few exceptions, so has their crossing.
69'
Fernando Llorente enters the game and replaces M. Dembélé.
Pochettino’s second substitution is also attacking as the Tottenham manager removes midfielder Moussa Dembele and puts on former Juventus striker Fernando Llorente.
67'
Harry Kane opts to shoot instead of playing Eriksen through while in possession at the top of the Leicester penalty area but the effort is blocked and put out for a corner-kick which Schmeichel comes to punch. Okazaki goes down under a challenge in midfield and wins his side a free-kick which halts the Tottenham attack and gives Wes Morgan and the back-line a chance to breathe.
64'
Dele Alli finds Dier free on the Totteham left but his pass in-field is intercepted and possession is returned to Leicester. Dier is playing as a centre-back but is pushing up higher and higher as the game progresses, with minimal effect to this point.
62'
Stat: Tottenham have failed to score in 3 of their 6 away matches in the Premier League this year.
59'
Eriksen’s corner-kick is of similarly poor quality as Iborra once again heads the ball out of danger. Tottenham will need to do much better if they want to find a way back into the match.
58'
Christian Eriksen takes an in-swinging free-kick but the set-piece does not beat the first man and Iborra heads it straight out of play for a Tottenham corner.
57'
Son Heung-Min enters the game and replaces M. Sissoko.
Pochettino’s first substitution is an attacking one as Moussa Sissoko is taken off in favour of Heung-Min Son.
54'
Fantastic chance as Albrighton swings in a cross for Okazaki after Vardy works tremendously hard to keep the ball in play but Okazaki’s aim was off and the header goes high of Lloris’ crossbar.
53'
The ball goes out for a corner-kick which is taken towards Kane who is locked in a tussle with Maguire. The centre-back wins the duel and clears the danger before Tottenham can make the opportunity count.
51'
Play resumes and after walking off under his own power, Simpson is back on the pitch and looks to be able to continue. His movements do seem slightly laboured as Tottenham immediately switch attacking play to that side in order to exploit the injury.
50'
The referee stops play as Danny Simpson goes down clutching his hamstring. The medic is out on the field but it is uncertain if the wing-back can continue. Aleksandar Dragovic is currently warming up on the touchline in case a switch does need to be made.
47'
A Danny Simpson challenge only pushes the ball further ahead for Eriksen who looks up and crosses into the Leicester penalty area but Wes Morgan was first to it in the air and cleared the danger.
45' +1
R. Mahrez has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by W. Ndidi.
Ndidi gets credit for the assist on Mahrez's goal.
RIYAD MAHREZ MAKES IT 2-0 WITH NO TIME LEFT TO SPARE! Ndidi plays a pass on the right-wing to Mahrez who cuts inside, gets away from both Vertonghen and Sanchez and fires a curling effort into the top of the far corner! Lloris had absolutely no chance! Fantastic strike!
45'
The linesman has signalled that there will be one additional minute at the end of the first half.
Tottenham kick off and get us underway in the second period!
43'
Davinson Sanchez’s last-ditch tackle dispossesses Albrighton who was away on a counter-attack with Vardy In support. A crucial effort from the centre-back or else Leicester would have been through on goal.
41'
Eriksen takes a corner from the left-hand side short and the ball filters through to Aurier who fashions enough space to take a shot at goal from outside the area, but the effort is right at Schmeichel who does well to catch it cleanly.
38'
Danny Rose controls a ball switched from the right off his chest and fires a volley high of the crossbar. After the shot, the referees whistle goes for an apparent handball on Rose, which seems to be an odd call as replays clearly show that Rose utilised his chest, and not his arms.
35'
Mahrez takes the free-kick opportunity to curl in a cross for Morgan who gets free of Sanchez, but his header goes high and wide, never troubling Lloris.
34'
Aurier, after his earlier mistake, has put his team under more pressure after scything down Maguire just outside the Tottenham penalty box.
33'
Schmeichel to the rescue! Eriksen leads Tottenham’s counter-attack and plays it across for Alli whose close-range shot is blocked by the goalkeeper! Kane’s follow-up effort is saved barely by Schmeichel’s fingertips, but Kane was judged to have been offside and even if his effort had rolled in, it would not have counted.
31'
Aurier gives the ball away directly to Vardy which sparks a Leicester City counter-attack. The ball ends with Simpson on the right as his cross is blocked out for a corner. Mahrez takes the in-swinger but Sanchez does well to clear his area.
29'
Schmeichel botches his clearance and puts the ball directly out for a Tottenham throw inside Leicester’s half but Ndidi wins the ball back quickly, as he has been doing all game.
27'
More fantastic attacking play from Leicester. Marc Albrighton manages to move his way past two Tottenham defenders and send in a cross which was initially cleared, but only to the top of the penalty area where Ndidi meets it and attempts a volley which is well wide.
25'
Maguire fires a ball over the top for Okazaki but Vertonghen is there to meet it and Tottenham win a free-kick which cools off the Leicester threat.
22'
Rose’s low cross finds Kane at the edge of the box and after shifting to open up some space, Kane gets his shot away but the curling effort is wide and out for a goal-kick.
20'
J. Vertonghen gets yellow.
The first booking of the game is for Jan Vertonghen who makes a late challenge on Mahrez and catches the Algerian on the foot.
19'
Vardy once again finds himself on the end of a cross that originates from Leicester’s left-hand side. This time, Lloris is wise to the move and rushes out of his goal quick enough to make a catch on the aerial ball.
17'
Going the other way, Tottenham almost find themselves level after Kasper Schmeichel does not get enough on a Sissoko close-range effort but Iborra manages to clear the ball off the line. Its end to end action here at the King Power Stadium!
13'
J. Vardy has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by M. Albrighton.
The assist on that beautiful goal is given to Marc Albrighton.
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL FROM JAMIE VARDY! WHAT A BRILLIANT GOAL! Albrighton’s cross from the left-wing fell perfectly for Vardy who exploits the space in between Sanchez and Dier in the Tottenham defence. Vardy then stretches out a leg and in mid-leap pops the ball over the head of Lloris and in the back of the Spurs goal. 1-0 Leicester City!
11'
Eriksen threads a through ball towards the left for Rose but the wing-back was unaware of the Danish playmakers intentions and it rolls out of play for a Leicester throw-in. A wasted bit of possession by the away side in this instance.
9'
Albrighton takes Leicester’s corner and it falls to the head of Wes Morgan who directs it brilliantly at goal but a clearance on the goal line by the Tottenham defender on the near post keeps the match even.
7'
The ball is now with Tottenham who, after evading a number of challenges in the midfield have maintained possession. Okazaki and Ndidi are working exceptionally hard to win it back but Alli and Sissoko have been confident and assured in their dribbling.
4'
Leicester City have started very brightly in this match and are really putting Tottenham’s midfield under pressure. They are controlling the tempo and Tottenham to this point have not been able to get settled.
2'
A neat bit of passing in the midfield finishes with an Ndidi through ball to Vardy which gets by the Tottenham defence. Lloris does well to rush out and clear the danger before Vardy could control the ball.

Leicester City get the match underway!
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of Leicester City v Tottenham from the King Power Stadium!
Claude Puel has amassed five points out of a possible 12 in his first four matches in charge of Leicester City after taking over from Craig Shakespeare. A win against Everton was exactly the start that the owners had hoped for, but a draw against Stoke, a defeat to runaway leaders Manchester City and last weekend’s tie against David Moyes’ West Ham have cooled the initial positivity.
Leicester City currently sit in 12th place, even on points with Bournemouth and Newcastle below them. Now four points away from the relegation places, Claude Puel has managed to give the Foxes some breathing room ahead of a very difficult fixture against Tottenham who have dropped to fifth place after last weekend’s action.
It may have been a case of tired legs for the Tottenham squad at the weekend after their come from behind victory last midweek against Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park. Their 1-1 draw against Gary Megson’s West Brom saw their North London rivals Arsenal overtake them in the table, but Mauricio Pochettino will hope that a victory today will get Spurs back into the winning form they displayed earlier in the season.
Today’s fixture will see two of England’s most in-form strikers go head to head as Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane each look to deliver their side all three points. Kane’s 9 and Vardy’s six strikes are good enough for first and third on the list of England’s strikers, with only Raheem Sterling separating the two in the table. Puel has been looking to reignite the title-winning partnership between Vardy and Mahrez while Pochettino has his own deadly duo: Harry Kane and Delle Ali. Leicester have scored more goals than anybody else in the bottom 10, while Spurs have managed to find the net less times than anybody in the top 8, except for surprise package Burnley – but to say that it will be a case of attack vs. defence would be a disservice. It promises to be an enthralling match of fast-paced attacking football.
Leicester City substitutes: Demarai Gray, Andy King, Ben Hamer, Ben Hamer, Aleksandar Dragovic, Daniel Amartey, Islam Slimani, Hamza Choudhury.
With fifteen minutes left before kick-off, the team news has been announced. Let's start with the home side.
Tottenham substitutes: Kieran Trippier, Heung-Min Son, Erik Lamela, Michel Vorm, Fernando Llorente, Juan Foyth, Ben Davies.
Tottenham Starting XI (3-4-2-1): Hugo Lloris; Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen; Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko, Moussa Dembele, Danny Rose; Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli; Harry Kane.
Claude Puel is missing both Robert Huth and Matty James to injury and makes two changes from the side which drew against West Ham on Friday evening. Schmeichel keeps his place in goal, while the back four sees one change, as Christian Fuchs is replaced by Ben Chilwell. Danny Simpson, Wes Morgan and Harry Maguire make up the rest of the defensive unit. Demarai Gray loses his place on the left of the midfield quartet, with Riyad Mahrez dropping back from his central role to play alongside Iborra, Ndidi and Albrighton. Jamie Vardy will be the starting striker, with Shinji Okazaki playing just behind him.

HALF-TIME: Leicester City 2 - 0 Tottenham
Tottenham have done well to make space and get the ball to the final third, but their finishing has not been up to standard today. Moussa Sissoko’s effort and Delle Ali’s close range shot have been the only times they have put Schmeichel under pressure. Harry Kane has not been able to get involved and Leicester City are closing down space and denying Eriksen any passing lanes. Pochettino may need to look to his bench in the second half if they are to mount a comeback.
Leicester City’s second goal at the end of the half was exactly what they deserved. Claude Puel has clearly reinvigorated the side because they started the match extremely positively in possession, and that endeavour was also displayed when closing down and winning back the ball. Both of Leicester’s goals have come after a good bit of patient defending when they were quickly able to transition from defence to attack and hit while Tottenham were out of position. They have been a joy to watch and Tottenham do not look like they have an answer.
FULL-TIME: Leicester City 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur
Leicester City had a couple of half-chances in the second period stemming from counter-attacks but their timing and link-up play were off. Fortunately for Claude Puel’s side, their two first-half efforts were enough and they did end up ruing their missed opportunities.
Tottenham Hotspur’s late pressure was eventually not enough as Leicester managed to hang on for the narrow 2-1 victory. Tottenham looked disjointed in open play and their set-pieces were poor at best. Positive substitutions helped Pochettino’s cause and Kane eventually got Tottenham on the score sheet with a thunderous shot thanks to an immediate impact from the returning Erik Lamela. Twenty or so minutes of constant waves of attack ensued, but Kasper Schmeichel and Danny Simpson in particular held down the defensive fort and made sure that a second was not conceded.
Thank you for following along with our live text commentary of Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur. We look forward to seeing you again!
This is Leicester’s first victory in three matches, having last beaten Everton at the end of October. Puel will hope that this victory gives the Foxes the confidence they need to go on a positive run, with a tough task at home to Burnley waiting for them on Saturday.
Tottenham’s relatively poor form in the Premier League continues as Pochettino’s side have not won a domestic match in their last three attempts. They will look to correct their form on Saturday as they travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford.
