No signs of an equaliser coming here for the hosts. Bayern look in complete control, and totally assured both on and off the ball, as they see this through the final minutes. Their organisation has been superb, especially in defence today, right from the opening kick-off.
90' +1
Bayern play the free-kick short, fooling everyone, and that allows them to keep it deep in the attacking half for a prolonged spell here. They haven't looked great tonight, but they're putting in their most professional display here in the final minutes to see out the potential victory.
90'
Bayern win a free-kick in an advanced position to pose a threat on the Eintracht goal, as the board goes up to indicate five minutes of stoppage-time.
88'
Bayern are enjoying more possession here than they have for most of the second half, and the timing could not be much better for them. They get the ball forward through Lewandowski, and win a throw deep in Eintracht's half.
86'
Bayern have really stopped Eintracht's push in its tracks here, keeping the ball contained in midfield and doing an excellent job of taking the sting out of the match. Not long to go for them now to see this one out. The hosts need to throw caution to the wind.
84'
R. Lewandowski enters the game and replaces K. Coman.
On comes Robert Lewandowski, replacing Coman for the final part of this match.
STAT: Robert Lewandowski has netted 14 goals this term – he’s only had 14 on the board at this stage once before: 2015/16 (finished as the league’s leading scorer with 30).
82'
M. Stendera enters the game and replaces A. Barkok.
The towering Marc Stendera is on as the target man for Eintracht for the final 20 minutes here, replacing Barkok.
80'
The match has really been ramped up in terms of tempo and intensity here! Some strong, but fair, challenges are being put in, and the chances are showing signs of coming to fruition here. Eintracht are committing bodies forward, but that's leaving them open to the counter at the other end. Surely there's another goal to come here...
78'
T. Tawatha enters the game and replaces J. Willems.
Eintracht's second change of the match sees Taleb Tawatha replace Willems.
Minute
Description
76'
STAT: Eintracht have netted six goals in the final 15 minutes of games this term – topped only by Hoffenheim (8).
74'
M. Wolf gets yellow.
The referee is over to consult with VAR here and after looking at the replay, he's changed his mind! There was no malicious intent and he just appeared to lose his footing at the end, as the red is changed to a yellow!
72'
THE HOSTS ARE DOWN TO 10 MEN! Well their push for an equaliser has just been dealt a massive blow as Wolf is shown a straight red for a wild challenge on James! Was it malicious enough? It didn't appear that way from the initial view, and the referee will have another look at this one...
71'
L. Jović enters the game and replaces G. Fernandes.
Eintracht's first change of the match sees Fernandes, who was on a yellow, replaced by Luka Jovic.
69'
Just over 20 minutes remaining now and Eintracht should be expected to up their pursuit here. They have given plenty of reason to believe, but quality needs to be better at those decisive moments and Haller, who has been blanketed by this Bayern defence, needs to get more involved.
67'
D. Alaba enters the game and replaces F. Ribéry.
T. Müller gets yellow.
Muller's night gets even more frustrating as he goes into the book for a foul on Willems, catching him with an arm to the face in the air.
The stoppage allows Heynckes to make his second change, which sees David Alaba replace Ribery.
65'
STAT: Bayern are unbeaten in 12 competitive games against Eintracht (W9 D3). They haven’t lost to the Eagles since March 2010 (2-1 in the Bundesliga).
63'
With Eintracht keeping control of this match, you start to get the sense than an equaliser could be on the horizon. The visitors have struggled mightily since the break, doing just enough to keep Eintracht out, but for how long can they hold out here with no attacking threat to speak of.
61'
Muller looks a shell of himself up top. Surely he's dealing with something? This is not the free-scoring Muller we have come to know over the years. His efforts tonight have really limited Bayern in attack. At what point does Robert Lewandowski come on?
59'
Wolf finds himself surrounded by Bayern players on the right, but somehow still manages to get the ball into the centre, where it disappointingly isn't met by a team-mate. The hosts continue to look the brighter side, and by all accounts have really dominated this second half.
57'
STAT: All of Frankfurt’s games this term have finished level or with a one-goal margin of victory. No other side in Europe’s top five leagues has achieved the same feat.
55'
C. Tolisso enters the game and replaces A. Vidal.
Heynckes isn't taking any chances here, as he immediately takes Vidal off. The Chilean was a foul away from being sent off and is replaced here by Corentin Tolisso, who netted a brace in midweek against PSG.
54'
Wolf at it again here, winning a free-kick on the very edge of the penalty area this time, with Vidal the penalised player. The Eintracht players crowd the referee in protest, claiming that Vidal should be shown a second yellow card - and there is a case to be made - but the Chilean escapes with one here! He will be on a short leash the rest of the way.
52'
Rafinha gets yellow.
Rafinha catches Wolf with a very late challenge, and that will see him pick up a yellow card in this his 300th Bundesliga game.
50'
Despite holding the lead, you have to think Heynckes is not satisfied with what he's seen from his side in this match so far. They have hardly threatened and are conceding a lot more possession to their opponents than we are used to seeing them allow.
48'
The hosts are doing a nice job of forcing the issue at the start of this second half, looking to get forward every time they have the ball at their feet, which is actually quite often. Their lone mistake in the first half was punished by Vidal, but they can take solace in the fact that they made just the one.
46'
Here we go again!
45'
HALF-TIME: EINTRACHT FRANKFURT 0-1 BAYERN MUNICH.
44'
OUTSTANDING SAVE! James' corner comes to Vidal atop the penalty area off the head of Falette. The Chilean chests it down and loops a half-volley at goal, but Hradecky does brilliantly to turn it over the bar! It's all for not in the end, however, as Vidal was judged to have used his arm to help control that.
42'
STAT: Eintracht have won 18 top-flight home matches against Bayern (D16 L12). The last two meetings in Frankfurt have finished level (including 2-2 in October 2016).
40'
GREAT SAVE! One from the training ground there as Wolf's free-kick is played into the feet of Salcedo, who tees up Willems for a strike with a clever little lay-off, but the full-back's effort is collected smartly by Stake! It takes a lot to pull a fast one on the veteran keeper.
39'
Rafinha, making his 300th Bundesliga appearance today, catches Rebic from behind as he concedes a free-kick in a threatening area for Frankfurt to have a shot at goal...
37'
Well there hasn't been much to speak of in terms of attacking play here, aside from a couple of decent moments for each side. Neither keeper has been called into action much, which speaks to how tightly contested this match has been in midfield. It's a battle.
35'
Concentrated possession from Bayern as we enter the final 10 minutes of the first half, but play is brought to a halt by the referee, who spots James down and in pain across the pitch. The midfielder gets up under his own power and seems to be good to continue, however.
33'
Rebic appears to have his man beaten, but hesitates to shoot, as a number of perhaps unnecessary step-overs allow the Bayern defence to recover as the winger fails to get his shot through.
32'
STAT: Arturo Vidal opened the scoring in the 3-1 win over Hannover, and has done so again today. He’s now scored in four consecutive Bundesliga games for the first time (previous high was two).
30'
HE'S SKIED IT! Sound attacking play from Eintracht down the right, as Barkok gets into space and picks out an admirable pull-back for Wolf, but the wing-back gets under his first-time strike, sending it miles over the bar.
28'
CLOSE! Wonderful skill and pace from Coman, who surges forward and takes on a defender with great confidence, but he gets it all wrong in the end as he fires his shot just wide of the near post and into the side-netting.
26'
Eintracht have halted Bayern's momentum, at least for the time being, as they do their best to press high up and congest the midfield third. It's the first step they needed to getting themselves back into this game.
24'
It's worth noting that Eintracht were behind twice in this fixture last season, both times coming back as they held the champions to a 2-2 draw. So this is far from over just yet.
22'
That goal really seems to have lit a fire under Bayern, who are full of confidence once again as they pass it around confidently, playing keep-away from their opponents. Eintracht have to pull themselves off the ground here and get back to what they were doing so well early on.
20'
A. Vidal has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Kimmich.
An outstanding cross from Kimmich, with pinpoint accuracy, sees him provide the assist.
BAYERN TAKE THE LEAD IN FRANKFURT! The visitors had been ramping up the pressure, but that certainly did come against the run of play! It's a defensive lapse from Eintracht as Kimmich's stunning ball in from the right is headed home by an unmarked Vidal, who has been revived under Heynckes.
19'
STAT: Jupp Heynckes takes charge of his 650th Bundesliga game today – only Otto Rehhagel has accumulated more (836). He has never lost to Eintracht as a coach.
17'
G. Fernandes gets yellow.
Fernandes is issued a yellow card for a foul near the halfway line, taking the tally up to two yellows, one for each club, so early on in this first half.
16'
Willems has been excellent going forward for Eintracht early on here, but he has to do much better to track back and offer Falette support in keeping Coman to the outside.
14'
Bayern have started to settle things down, but have yet to find a way through this Eintracht defence to test Hradecky. A ball over the top looks inviting for Muller, but his first touch is poor as the chance goes begging. Would Lewandowski have made more of that?
12'
Eintracht are enjoying more possession, and look a consistent threat in these opening stages of the first half. They're certainly more than up for the occasion, making life incredibly difficult for Bayern, who have hardly made waves in attack just yet.
10'
The scene is wonderfully set here with the snow falling down in Frankfurt. It certainly has the look of December football in Germany. The hosts have started superbly, as they continue to press high up the pitch and win the ball in some dangerous areas.
8'
STAT: The last four meetings have averaged 6.25 bookings (total: 25). The overall top-flight average in this fixture stands at 2.6 per game.
6'
Rebic is able to get his shot through the wall, but it's at a comfortable height and location for Starke, who gets over to his right to parry. Bit of a let-off for Bayern, it must be said.
5'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
AND HERE'S BOOKING NUMBER ONE! It's Vidal who sees is, but the bigger worry for Bayern will be this ensuing free-kick coming just outside the penalty area, dead centre of the pitch, after Barkok was took down following a poor pass out from the back from Starke, who is the new starter in goal for the visitors today after Ulreich pulled out in warm-ups.
3'
A physical start to this match, with the snow coming down in Frankfurt, which perhaps should not come as much surprise. There were 14 yellow cards and one red handed out in the two head-to-head meetings between these sides last season.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Bayern in dark-blue as they get the match underway, attacking left to right, with Bayern in white.
Hello and welcome to the Commerzbank-Arena for live coverage of this Bundesliga match as leaders Bayern Munich are put to the test at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Jupp Heynckes has Bayern back on track with successive 3-1 victories over Hannover and PSG, coming off their first defeat since the 72-year-old took over. They have won 11 of 12 matches since the coaching change.
Their change in form and fortune has seen them build a six-point lead atop the table, and with their final three games before the Christmas break coming against sides eighth or lower, Bayern will fancy their chances of building on that before January.
Eintracht have their sights set high as well, four points off second and two back of the top-four, but they have sputtered of late with just one victory from their last three in the league, coming last weekend in Berlin.
Part of the reason Niko Kovac’s side are not already in the top-four can be attributed to their defensive woes, having yet to keep a clean sheet in the Bundesliga this season at home – a trend that is likely to continue tonight against the free-scoring Bavarians.
Niko Kovac makes two changes from the 2-1 win away to Hertha Berlin last weekend, with Gelson Fernandes and Aymen Barkok replacing Makoto Hasebe and Mijat Gacinovic.
Jupp Heynckes makes a pair of changes from the 3-1 win over Hannover last weekend. Bundesliga top scorer Robert Lewandowski drops to the bench, Franck Ribery taking his place in the side, while Thomas Muller moves over to lead the line. In defence, Niklas Sule replaces Mats Hummels.
Jupp Heynckes will be pleased with the scoreline heading into the interval, but it's Niko Kovac who will be the happier manager in terms of his team's performance, as Eintracht have done well to take the game to the Bundesliga leaders. Certainly all to play for still in the second half.
Arturo Vidal scored with Bayern's lone shot on target in the match, and that proves enough for the Bundesliga leaders to leave Frankfurt with three points in what was an intense, physical encounter. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
