Palace, understandably, are running down the clock. Selhurst Park is rocking and the Eagles are soaring out of the bottom three as it stands. It may only be temporary but the fans won't care!
It's getting from bad to worse for Watford. Femenia, who has had a nightmare since coming on, has just trotted off down the tunnel. Watford now playing with nine but the whistle is about to go.
90' +5
It's difficult to say Palace deserve this but to be fair to them, their performances this season, particularly since Hodgson took over, have been better than their position in the table suggests.
90' +3
Watford brought on Femenia for Richarlison and it's been their downfall. The full-back has had a nightmare, being beaten too easily for both goals. Nightmare!
90' +2
J. McArthur has scored a goal for Crystal Palace!
GOAL! They've done it! What a turnaround for Palace! Zaha again the creator as he charges down the left, plays a low ball into the middle where McArthur tucks home into the bottom corner!
90' +1
R. Pereyra gets yellow.
SIX minutes of time added on. Could there be further drama? This match has finally come alive! It's only taken all night.
Pereyra gets revenge on Van Aanholt and enters the book as a result.
90'
Poor defending from Watford but Marco Silva has every right to be furious with the challenge from Van Aanholt, as it wasn't too different to the challenge that saw Zeegelaar dismissed at the weekend.
89'
B. Sako has scored a goal for Crystal Palace!
GOAL! There's always late drama at Selhurst Park! Zaha cuts inside again, strikes a shot that is too hot for Gomes to handle. He diverts it straight back into the middle, blocks Sako's rebound but it falls to the striker yet again. This time, he makes no mistake at all.
87'
T. Cleverley gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
RED CARD! Oh what a mess! Cleverley scuffs a shot and lunges in. He's already been booked and Lee Mason has a simple decision to make. For the second match in a row, Watford are down to ten men.
85'
P. van Aanholt gets yellow.
Van Aanholt clatters through the back of Pereyra and earns himself a yellow card. The Argentine midfielder requires treatment and Watford have just used up the final one of their changes.
84'
Kiko Femenía enters the game and replaces Richarlison.
Richarlison has been in the wars today and has also been very impressive. His night is over following his latest knock, with Marco Silva bolstering his defence with the introduction of Femenia.
Minute
Description
83'
CHANCE! Palace working the ball around well, with Zaha cutting inside Janmaat and curling a shot just over the bar. Gomes looked hapless but Palace still await a shot on target.
82'
Treatment for Richarlison once again, as he hobbles to the sideline holding his groin, and the home supporters are not happy with the South American as they believe he's wasting time.
80'
A. Gray enters the game and replaces T. Deeney.
An injection of pace for Watford in the final period of the game, with Andre Gray replacing Deeney.
78'
T. Cleverley gets yellow.
McArthur immediately gets involved, winning a free-kick after Cleverley's deliberate foul and it sees the former Manchester United midfielder booked.
77'
J. McArthur enters the game and replaces Y. Cabaye.
Much better from Palace! Sako and Schlupp combine down the left, with the former lifting a dangerous cross into the area that Gomes flaps at. Benteke is again wrestling the defender, coming off second best, and the Hornets scramble clear.
Final change of the game for Crystal Palace, with Cabaye replaced by McArthur.
75'
Into the final quarter of an hour, plus additional time. Will there be late drama at Selhurst Park? I think I speak for everyone when I saw I hope so.
73'
Speroni has just booted a goal kick out for a throw in. I think that pretty much sums up their evening and the most distressing thing is that is was probably closer to Gomes' goal than any of the Eagles' chances this evening.
71'
R. Pereyra enters the game and replaces A. Carrillo.
Watford's first change isn't at all surprising. I'd honestly completely forgotten Carrillo was on the field. Well, he's not anymore and Roberto Pereyra comes into the fold.
70'
B. Sako enters the game and replaces T. Fosu-Mensah.
Now this is a Crystal Palace change I can get behind. Fosu-Mensah is off, with Bakary Sako on. Hopefully they can craft some decent opportunities.
69'
Potentially further injury headache for Crystal Palace, with Fosu-Mensah down receiving treatment. They did of course lose Mamadou Sakho to injury at the weekend and the Frenchman is a huge loss for the busy festive period.
67'
P. van Aanholt enters the game and replaces A. Townsend.
Well, this is an odd substitution. Townsend is replaced and Van Aanholt comes on. Loftus-Cheek seems to have moved into a more attacking role but this sort of change is questionable given the flow of the game.
65'
SAVE! Watford are back on the front foot and Richarlison has acres of room at the far post, where he takes a good first touch and tries to slot past Speroni. The experienced goalkeeper makes a crucial save though and the resulting corner comes to nothing.
63'
L. Milivojević gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the game has been coming and Milivojevic is the man on the receiving end, as Palace's frustrations start to surface further.
61'
Watford beginning to flow again but Speroni hasn't had too much to do, in all honesty. Here's certainly not tested here as Janmaat fires way over the bar.
59'
Benteke continues to be a passenger and it's a detriment to Crystal Palace, as they need more movement to break down Watford's reslient defence. We've seen Zaha play centrally this season and it may be worth trying that here.
57'
It's a very physical game in South London and Lee Mason deserves credit for the way he's refereed this. The fans may not appreciate it but he's allowed the game to flow and isn't needlessly booking players.
55'
Still a difficult game to call and Selhurst Park has become well accustomed to late drama, so it remains up for grabs. Palace still need to get Benteke involved more, whilst Watford will want to unleash Richarlison down the left.
53'
A crucial block from Mariappa, who prevents Loftus-Cheek's shot from testing Gomes, and Schlupp slices a rebound way off the mark. Palace are looking a lot better, whereas Watford have seen their performance levels slip.
51'
Watford continue to look dangerous on the counter and Palace need to cut out the poor mistakes their making on the ball, as it's putting them under pressure that can be avoided.
49'
A much better start to the second period for the Eagles, who took a while to get going. Gomes is yet to be tested though so there's still plenty of room for improvement.
47'
A big half for Crystal Palace here, as missing the chance to rise out of the bottom three could be a big problem- especially if those around them take advantage.
45' +2
Another free-kick for Palace, after Loftus-Cheek is felled, and this match seems to becoming even more difficult to referee. Lee Mason, for his part, has done well so far but you're only ever one wrong decision away from disaster.
45' +1
Zaha wins a free-kick in a decent area, after a foul from Mariappa, and it's the ideal position for a delivery. Cabaye crosses it in but Kabasele is able to head it away under no pressure at all and Palace are almost caught out on the counter.
45'
Back underway for the second half, where Watford now kick to the right.
44'
Well, the Palace fans aren't happy. The hosts are improving and Benteke falls to ground under a challenge from Kabasele, which leads to penalty appeals. They only get a corner though, with replays showing the pair of them were pulling each other.
42'
Zaha, once again, pushing the wrong buttons. He's fouled by Mariappa but his sarcastic response, which included a thank to the heavens, is certainly unnecessary.
CHANCE! Crystal Palace come the closest they've come to a goal as Richarlison sees a ball deflect off him and behind for a corner, which the Hornets deal with easily.
40'
Zaha is almost certainly going to get booked this game, after he fouled Doucoure. His response earned a talking to from the referee and he's now walking a thin line.
38'
Marco Silva probably won't be too happy with his side not quite clicking as much in the attacking third as they would like but the Hornets certainly look good value for their lead.
36'
In news that will surprise nobody, Zaha has just tumbled in the area under not a lot of pressure at all. That's exactly why the Watford fans have been on his back all evening.
34'
The Swiss army has more attacking intent than Crystal Palace tonight. They've only scored eleven times this season and it's not at all surprising with this showing.
32'
How crucial will that miss to be? Probably not at all if Crystal Palace continue to play like they have so far.
30'
Oh my word! Watford hit on the counter, Richarlison cuts across gol and Deeney has the goal at his mercy at the far post. He scuffs his effort wide, somehow. The striker is laughing and what else can he do! That was abysmal!
29'
Brilliant defending from Janmaat! Palace have their most threatening attack of the game but the goalscorer is on hand at the far post to head behind for a corner, preventing Benteke from an easy finish. From that set-piece, Dann heads wide of the mark.
27'
Bit of a lull in this game now, with Watford working hard but not looking as threatening as they did in the opening minutes. Palace continue to be poor all over the pitch and it's not been a great performance from Manchester United loanee Fosu-Mensah so far.
25'
The hosts are playing far too narrow here and it's showing, with Watford yet to be tested yet. Poor old Gomes must be freezing in the Hornets net.
23'
Richarlison is running the show here, central to everything positive that the Hornets are creating and putting Fosu-Mensah under a lot of pressure.
21'
Palace have improved during the last ten minutes but they're being limited to shots from distance here, with Townsend fizzing an attempt wide of Gomes' goal.
19'
CLOSE! Watford remain on the front foot, with Prodl almost getting a decisive touch onto Holebas' corner and then seeing Janmaat find room, though his shot is deflected behind off Dann for another corner.
17'
Zaha is getting a warm reception from the visiting supporters, who haven't forgotten his tumble at Vicarage Road last season or his Man of the Match performance when the Eagles defeated a Watford side in the Play-Off final during the tenure of Gianfranco Zola.
15'
Richarlison, fortunately, is back on as Watford win a corner after a mix up from Dann and Speroni. It's controversial though as it doesn't seem to have fully left play but Palace fortunately hold firm after Holebas' delivery.
13'
Short break in play as Richalison requires treatment, after taking a clattering from team-mate Doucoure.
11'
CHANCE! Watford are flying! Holebas again has far too much room down the left and his deep cross is kept alive by Carrillo. He cuts back to Richarlison, who sees his shot headed away by Tomkins.
9'
Crystal Palace are all over the place here and it's incredibly frustrating for the fans, after what was a decent performance at the weekend. If they don't buck their ideas up, they could find themselves further behind before too long.
7'
Watford are finding a lot of joy down the left side, where the aforementioned Richarlison and Holebas have Fosu-Mensah under intense pressure.
5'
Palace are really struggling here with Watford showing their attacking intent early on. Their flying wing-backs have left the Eagles in trouble in the first few minutes of the game.
3'
D. Janmaat has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by Richarlison.
Richarlison has excelled this season and is one to watch, so handing him an opportunity like that is a disaster for Roy Hodgson's side. It was far too easy!
GOAL! What a start for Watford! Crystal Palace struggle to get the ball away and Richarlison takes advantage, picking up the loose ball and whipping a superb cross towards the far post where Janmaat heads home.
2'
Big game for Palace today, who are five games unbeaten. They've been in the bottom three since the opening weekend but they could rise out of the relegation spots with a win this evening, with the majority of the Premier League playing tomorrow.
1'
KICK-OFF! We're underway at Selhurst Park, where the hosts get us started and kick to the right.
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of tonight's Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Watford, where both sides will be venturing into the bitterly cold December weather in the aim of securing three vital points for their respective battles.
Crystal Palace XI: Julian Speroni; Timothy Fosu-Mensah, James Tomkins, Scott Dann, Jeffrey Schlupp; Andros Towsend, Yohan Cabaye, Luka Milivojevic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek; Wilfried Zaha, Christian Benteke.
Watford XI: Andre Gomes; Adrian Mariappa, Sebastian Prodl, Christian Kabasele; Daryl Janmaat, Tom Cleverley, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Jose Holebas; Andre Carrillo, Richarlison; Troy Deeney.
Crystal Palace subs: Wayne Hennessey, Bakary Sako, Martin Kelly, Patrick van Aanholt, Lee Chung-yong, James McArthur, Jairo Riedewald.
Watford subs: Orestis Karnezis, Kiko Femenia, Isaac Success, Etienne Capoue, Andre Gray, Ben Watson, Roberto Pereyra.
Crystal Palace make one change to the side that drew with Bournemouth and it's a forced one, with Mamadou Sakho absent through injury. Scott Dann takes his place, whilst Benteke remains up front after missing the chance to seal all three points for his side on Saturday and bring an end to a goalless run that's lasted since April.
Watford boss Marco Silva makes two changes to his Hornets side, one of which is enforced due to the suspension of Marvin Zeegelaar. He was sent off and had his appeal rejected today, which sees Holebas play in his place. The other change sees Pereryra drop to the bench, with Sebastian Prodl coming into the side in a tactical shake-up.
Watford, meanwhile, fell to a 2-0 defeat to Burnley in the battle of the overachievers at Turf Moor. That made it three games without a win for Marco Silva's side but there continues to be a buzz around the Hornets, as they challenge for a potential spot in the European places.
Crystal Palace enter tonight's game having enjoyed an upturn in form under Roy Hodgson but they experienced disappointment at the weekend, missing a last-minute penalty and drawing 2-2 with Bournemouth. Christian Benteke was the guilty party there, earning himself criticism from Hodgson himself, so he has plenty of work to do tonight to make up for it.
Well, that free-kick is smashed into the wall and wasted, which pretty much sums up what's been a disappointing evening for Crystal Palace. They fell behind early on to Janmaat's goal and Watford have been the better side ever since, with the hosts growing increasingly more frustrated as the half progressed.
Palace are still waiting for their first clean sheet of the season at Selhurst Park and they continue to struggle in front of goal. Benteke has been isolated, Zaha has been walking a very fine line and Townsend has vanished in periods. They lack significant width and it's leaving it easy for Watford to defend.
Watford will certainly be happy with their performance but they should be further in front, with Deeney missing a sitter. Richarlison has managed to walk all over Fosu-Mensah down the left side and that's certainly an avenue they'll look to exploit in the second period.
It's all over! Never, ever leave Selhurst Park early! The Eagles trailed to Daryl Janmaat's opening goal for the majority of the game but turned it around in the dying moments. Tom Cleverley was sent off for a second yellow card and Palace soon took advantage, with Bakary Sako bundling home before James McArthur tucked home a winner. Wilfried Zaha was the creator of both goals and deserves all the plaudits that will come their way.
A dramatic finish for Crystal Palace and it's significant, as they rise out of the relegation zone for the first time since the Premier League's opening weekend. They leapfrog Swansea, West Ham and West Brom in the table, all of whom play tomorrow and could send the Eagles back into the bottom three.
Watford were unlucky to lose to Burnley at the weekend and they're unlucky to lose here too. It's now four games without a win for the Hornets, who face Huddersfield Town at Vicarage Road next. Injuries and suspensions may well take their toll though.
