R. Sterling has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by L. Sané.
That was a lovely pass from Sane, who perfectly picked out Sterling after skipping into the box, but, once again, Tottenham lose possession and were torn apart on the counter-attack. It's been a really bruising evening for Spurs!
GOAL! It's 3-0 to City! Once again, Tottenham lose the ball cheaply and City quickly counter-attack. Gundogan pokes a deft pass into the visitors' penalty area and picks out Sane, who then tees up Sterling to score from close range with a well-placed ball across the face of goal.
79'
The pace of the game has slowed down somewhat, with Tottenham giving away far too many unnecessary fouls as City comfortably hold onto the ball inside their own half of the pitch. The visitors look understandably frustrated at being two goals behind and heading towards a victory.
77'
É. Lamela enters the game and replaces Son Heung-Min.
Huge opportunity for Winks to pull one back! Lamela showcases wonderful skill over on the right-hand side of the City penalty area as he weaves his way towards the byline. K. De Bruyne has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by İ. Gündoğan.

GOAL! De Bruyne doubles City's lead! He may have been clattered into by Alli, but that hasn't affected him at all! A Tottenham throw-in is poorly executed and the home quickly counter-attack. Gundogan charges through the middle of the pitch before setting up De Bruyne, who breaks into the box and fires a rocket of a shot past the outstretched hand of Lloris.
68'
D. Alli gets yellow.
Ouch! Alli flies into De Bruyne and catches the Belgian on the ankle with a mistimed and reckless challenge. The City fans all scream for a red card, but, after giving himself some thinking time, the referee instead decides to book the Tottenham attacking midfielder.
66'
What a miss by Sterling! Sane cuts inside from the left wing and takes on Trippier before unleashing a great strike from just inside the penalty area. It's well saved by Lloris but poked out to Sterling, who quickly shoots but sends his close-range, half-volleyed high over the crossbar.

60'
Tottenham push high up the pitch as they try to stop Ederson from playing out from the back, but the goalkeeper instead sends the ball three-quarters of the way down the pitch and straight to Sterling. The winger cuts inside and works the ball over to Sane, who shoots but can only fire his strike into the side-netting.
58'
Gabriel Jesus enters the game and replaces S. Agüero.
Great opportunity for Jesus! The Brazilian immediately gets involved in the action as he latches onto a lovely pass into the penalty area from De Bruyne. He can't quite sort his feet out in time, however, and Lloris manages to jump onto the ball.

Pep Guardiola has decided to bring on Gabriel Jesus to replace Aguero. The Argentine isn't at all happy at being substituted and throws his gloves to the ground in disgust.
56'
The set-piece is curled into the middle of the City penalty area and almost manages to pick out Vertonghen, who rises high but can't quite latch onto the ball at the near post.
55'
Thumping strike by Kane! Tottenham have started the second half well and are keeping City pegged back inside their own half of the pitch. Kane gets himself into a good position 25 yards away from goal and shoots, but his rocket of a strike is well saved by Ederson, who tips the ball behind for a corner.
54'
A miskick from Otamendi deep inside the City half of the pitch causes problems for the hosts and allows Kane to burst forward. He looks set to latch onto the ball on the edge of the box, but Eliaquim Mangala is there to make sure he can't.
52'
H. Kane gets yellow.
The set-piece fails to result in a chance on goal and allows City to counter-attack quickly, but Sterling is caught by a mistimed challenge from Kane, and the referee's yellow card is out once again.
51'
F. Delph gets yellow.
Son and Trippier play a nice one-two between themselves before the latter skips past Fabian Delph. He does well to get the better of the City full-back before being caught by a late challenge, resulting in a free-kick for Tottenham and a yellow card for Delph.
50'
An attempted City attack breaks down, allowing Tottenham to counter quickly. Kane bursts through the middle of the pitch on a marauding run and tries to find Son once again, but this time his through-ball into the box is overhit and rolls behind for a goal-kick.
48'
Almost a great chance for Son! Eriksen and Kane link up well on the edge of the City penalty area before the latter spins and chips a cross over to Son. It looks set to set up the South Korean to shoot, but Sane closes him down before he's able to do so and shepherds the ball into the hands of Ederson.
46'
We're underway once again!

Aguero goes close! Sterling darts towards the edge of the visitors' penalty area before spinning and knocking the ball back to Fernandinho. The Brazilian then clips a lovely pass over the Tottenham back line and towards Aguero, who breaks forward and latches onto the ball in front of goal. He looks set to take on Lloris, but the linesman's flag is raised before he can do so.
40'
Alli catches Sane with a late challenge midway inside the Tottenham half of the pitch, presenting City with a great opportunity to launch in a cross. De Bruyne's ball into the box initially fails to pick out a team-mate before bouncing out to Walker, but the full-back can't make the possession count and loses out to Rose.
38'
N. Otamendi gets yellow.
Kane is eventually able to get back to his feet after receiving medical treatment for a few moments, and Otamendi is shown a yellow card for his mistimed challenge.
37'
Ouch! Kane has been left in a heap in the floor over on the left flank after receiving a boot to the side of the head from Nicolas Otamendi. The Argentine doesn't seem too pleased with the Tottenham striker, but that's probably because he knows he's in the wrong.
35'
Inches away by Kane! Tottenham have really struggled to carve out chances on goal, but he went really close to scoring there. He cuts inside from the left channel and fires a low shot from 20 yards out, but it ends up missing the far post by the narrowest of margins after just about managing to beat Ederson.
33'
And now Aguero goes close! It's wave after wave of attacks for the home side at the moment. This time it's Aguero who charges forward but unleashing a shot from 20 yards out, but his low effort rolls agonisingly wide of the post after leaving Lloris rooted to the spot.
31'
Almost another chance for Sane! Another excellent pass is poked into the visitors' box and picks out Sane, who, once again, is all alone. He looks set to go one-on-one with Lloris, but his first touch is a poor one and knocks the ball straight into the hands of the goalkeeper.
29'
Fantastic block by Rose! A truly world-class lofted pass from De Bruyne is fired over to the left wing and right into the feet of Sane. The German is in acres of space and cuts inside before teeing up Aguero, who quickly shoots but has his thumping effort closed down quickly by Rose.
27'
Another great opportunity for City! Gundogan skips away from his marker and manages to get a shot away from the edge of the visitors' penalty area. It's saved by Lloris and pushed out unconvicingly, but Sterling can't quite latch onto the ball and is denied a chance to unleash a follow-up.
26'
Alli is caught by a high foot from De Bruyne, resulting in a free-kick for Tottenham midway inside the City half of the pitch. The hosts' defensive line is incredibly high and seems to confuse Eriksen, who chips a cross into the box but can only find the hands of Ederson.
25'
De Bruyne is the latest player to try and test Lloris after getting himself into a pocket of space, but his low shot from just outside of the Tottenham penalty area is deflected into the hands of the French goalkeeper at the far post.
24'
Two huge chances for City! A wonderful goal-kick from Ederson flies deep into the Tottenham half of the pitch and perfectly picks out Aguero. The Argentine bursts into the box and shoots, but his low effort is well saved by Lloris. 23'
Poor from Rose! Space opens up for Tottenham over on the left flank as they hit City on a dangerous counter-attack. The visitors move the ball around nicely and bring Rose into the game, but his first-time cross is woefully hit and sails high over the top of the crossbar.
21'
Tottenham make sure they pay attention to Gundogan this time, denying the midfielder a way towards goal as he tries to latch onto the corner. This time the set-piece can only find Kane, who comfortably clears the danger with a strong header.
20'
Sane causes all sorts of problems for Trippier once again as he screams down the left wing and into the Tottenham box. He then fizzes a dangerous pass across the face of goal, but this time it's Eric Dier who's there to poke the ball behind for a corner.
18'
Nice play between Christian Eriksen and Trippier sets up the full-back to whip in a cross from deep down the right flank. Dele Alli makes a good run into the penalty area as he tries to latch onto it, but Trippier's ball into the box is overhit and sails out of play for a throw-in.
16'
Tottenham quickly push forward from the restart as they try to get back into the game, but Harry Kane isn't able to muscle his way past Fernandinho on the edge of the hosts' box and loses out to a well-timed tackle from the Brazilian.
14'
İ. Gündoğan has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by L. Sané.
Sane's cross into the penalty area was a really good one and put the ball on a plate for Gundogan, but that was criminal defending from Tottenham. Nobody closed down the German or put any sort of pressure on him.
GOAL! Ilkay Gundogan heads City into the lead! Sane swings a great cross into the middle of the Tottenham box and onto the head of Gundogan, who is left all alone in front of goal and easily manages to beat Hugo Lloris from six yards out. What a start for City!
13'
Tottenham do well to bring another attempted City attacking move to an end before trying to hit them a counter-attack. A lofted pass is thumped up towards Son and picks out the South Korean in space, but his run is slightly mistimed and he's flagged offside as soon as he makes contact with the ball.
11'
Tottenham started on the front foot but now find themselves on the back foot as they try to keep a determined City side at bay. They're putting good pressure on the home side, though, as they don't look at all frightened to press their opponents in the middle of the pitch.
9'
And now Aguero goes close! Raheem Sterling is bundled over by Danny Rose, resulting in a free-kick for City out wide. It's swung in by De Bruyne and picks out Aguero, who stoops down low but can't quite hit the target with his low, bouncing header.
7'
Vital interception by Jan Vertonghen! City push forward on their first attacking move of the night as Leroy Sane flies down the left flank. He easily gets the better of Kieran Trippier and fires a low cross into the middle of the box, where Vertonghen is just about able to get a toe on the ball ahead of Sergio Aguero.
5'
Ouch! Kevin De Bruyne picks up the ball just inside the Tottenham half of the pitch and is immediately clattered into from behind by Mousa Dembele. He wants a yellow card for his fellow Belgian, but the referee doesn't agree and just awards City a free-kick.
3'
After an even start to the game from both sides, it's Tottenham who push forward on the first decent attacking move of the evening. They move the ball around nicely deep down the left wing before Son Heung-Min tries to get the better of Kyle Walker, but his former team-mate barges him out the way and wins City a throw-in.
1'
We're off!
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has also made three alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela making way for Kieran Trippier, Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli.
Pep Guardiola has decided to make three changes to the City side that thrashed Swansea during the week, with Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane coming into the starting line-up to replace Danilo, David Silva and Bernardo Silva, respectively.
Tottenham Hotspur substitutes: Vorm, Foyth, Davies, Aurier, Sissoko, Lamela, Llorente.
Tottenham Hotspur XI (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Trippier, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Dembele, Winks; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane.
Manchester City substitutes: Bravo, Danilo, Foden, Zinchenko, Toure, Bernardo Silva, Jesus.
Manchester City XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Mangala, Delph; De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Gundogan; Sterling, Aguero, Sane.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
City will certainly be hoping for a repeat of the last meeting between the two sides back in July, when they comfortably won 3-0 in a pre-season friendly over in Tennessee. It’s Tottenham who have been the better of the two in recent domestic clashes, however, winning three of the last four games against the Citizens. The latter last beat Spurs in May 2015, while their last win here came back in October 2014, when Sergio Aguero found the back of the net four times.
The midweek win against Brighton resulted in Tottenham climbing up to fourth spot, but things remain incredibly tight in and around the Champions League places. Their underwhelming away record will be a worry for boss Mauricio Pochettino, as they’re without a win on the road since the end of September. Since then, they’ve managed to pick up just one point from a possible 12 away from Wembley.
Tottenham will be hoping they can become the first team to beat City in a Premier League game this season, but they’ll have to be at their best if they’re to get the better of Guardiola’s rampant side. A slightly out-of-sorts Spurs have struggled to build momentum this season, leaving them 18 points behind the leaders and badly in need of a win to avoid dropping out of the top four.
Unsurprisingly, City’s recent exploits have led many to ask whether they should be considered as one of the best sides to grace the top tier of English football. They certainly look perfectly balanced, with just one of their last 31 games - a dead rubber away to Shakhtar Donetsk last week - ending in a defeat. They boast both the best attack and joint-best defence in the division, and it’s difficult to see anyone getting the better of them anytime soon.
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League game between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad.
Can anyone stop City? We’re not even halfway through the campaign and the current league leaders are already running away with the title, with 11 points separating themselves and nearest challengers Manchester United. The Citizens have dropped just two points so far, and, if things remain this way, they could well become the first Premier League side since the Arsenal Invincibles to go unbeaten for an entire season.
HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 1-0 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
It's all going to plan for City so far. They've certainly been the better of the two sides and have caused plenty of problems for the Tottenham defenders, who have just about managed to hold on to keep the scoreline at 1-0. At the other end, Kane went close to equalising on one occasion but, overall, they've found it difficult to carve out chances on goal, with the likes of Eriksen and Alli struggling to get involved in the game.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 4-1 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
It's all over, and City's unbelievable winning run goes on. They easily managed to swat aside a Tottenham team that struggled from start to finish, and they made an already tough game even more difficult for themselves with far too much sloppy play. In the end, it was a comfortable night for the home side, who remain in a commanding position at the top of the Premier League table.
