We're underway at the Liberty Stadium.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Spurs have enjoyed a lengthy break over the New Year period compared to their rivals in the Premier League. Mauricio Pochettino's men have had a week off since their last outing against Southampton when they crushed the Saints. They have two league matches in two days and could propel themselves back into the race for the Champions League places with two victories.
Carlos Carvalhal enjoyed an excellent start to his tenure at Swansea as his side came from behind to defeat Watford. Andre Carrillo put the Hornets ahead, but late strikes from Jordan Ayew and Luciano Narsingh won the contest for the Swans. The Welsh outfit remain bottom of the Premier League, but another win this evening would bring them back into the pack of teams battling for survival.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Swansea and Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium.
SWANSEA (3-5-2): Fabianski; Van der Hoorn, Fernandez, Mawson; Rangel, Sanches, Carroll, Clucas, Olsson; Ayew, Dyer.
Tottenham subs: Kane, Wanyama, Vorm, Sissoko, Aurier, Winks, Walker-Peters.
Swansea have made three changes to their side that beat Watford last time out. Kyle Naughton misses out due to suspension, while Tammy Abraham is out with an illness. Nathan Dyer, Mike van der Hoorn and Angel Rangel come into the fold in an expected 3-5-2 formation.
Harry Kane starts on the bench this evening after suffering an illness last week. Fernando Llorente makes his first Premier League start for Spurs against his former team. There are three other changes from the side that beat Southampton as Kieran Tripper, Erik Lamela and Ben Davies come into the side. Victor Wanyama is available for the first time since August as he features amongst the substitutes.
STAT ATTACK! Swansea have lost more Premier League games to Tottenham than any other opponent since their arrival in the top flight in 2011, (P13 W0 D3 L10).
STAT ATTACK! If Tottenham avoid defeat here, they will not have lost any of their 14 Premier League games against Swansea – only two clubs have better unbeaten records against another in the competition (Man Utd 17 games vs Crystal Palace and Man Utd 16 games vs Charlton).
HALF-TIME: SWANSEA 0-1 TOTTENHAM
Tottenham take a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Fernando Llorente's controversial strike against his old club. Swansea will feel hard done by as the Spaniard was in an offside position when he moved to head Christian Eriksen's cross past Lukasz Fabianski. Although Spurs have dominated possession they've not been clinical in the final third with the wet conditions making life difficult for incisive passing. Carlos Carvalhal's men did improve slightly towards the break, but will need to be a lot better in the second half to get anything out of this contest.
FULL-TIME: SWANSEA 0-2 TOTTENHAM
Tottenham secure a 2-0 victory over Swansea this evening, despite not being at their best. Fernando Llorente opened the scoring against his former club, although it was a controversial effort as he was in an offside position. The Swans had their moments in the second half, including striking the post late on from a corner. However, Dele Alli ended their resistance with an 89th-minute strike to wrap up the three points for Mauricio Pochettino's men.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
