GREAT CHANCE! Huge miss by Long to seal the victory here. Cedric whipped the cross into the box from the right, straight onto the head of Long but he heads it high over the bar from close range.

Penalty shouts for both teams! Firstly West Brom appeal for a penalty after Bertrand barges into the back of Rodriguez just inside the penalty area, then Long is shoved to the ground by Hegazi at the other end. The referee not interested in either.

S. Rondón has scored a goal for West Bromwich Albion! Assist by C. Brunt.
It was a superb ball into the box by Chris Brunt, perfect for the Baggies striker who rose highest to pull one back for the home side and make the final period of this game very interesting!
GOOOAAALLL WEST BROM PULL ONE BACK! Rondon gets his head to a terrific ball into the box by Brunt from the left-wing, he glanced the header straight into the top corner of the net with McCarthy nowhere near it. All to play for now.
69'
Ward Prowse goes close again with a free-kick! This time from much further out from goal, he tries to catch Foster off guard by taking the set piece quickly, but he doesn't get enough dip on the ball and it flies just over the crossbar.
67'
Almost another! Southampton so close to scoring a fourth goal here. Saints broke forward quickly, with Tadic breaking down the right and he spots Carrillo unmarked in the box, he squares the ball across goal to his teammate who then only had Foster to beat. However, it was excellent defending from Dawson as he just manages to get back in time and clear the danger.
64'

57'
West Brom have it all too do now, they are struggling to get a touch on the ball at the moment as Saints continue to dominate possession and really carve open this Baggies side. They could score a few more goals this afternoon, you can now see the confidence flowing through the players.
55'
J. Ward-Prowse has scored a goal for Southampton!
WHAT A STRIKE! James Ward-Prowse with a terrific free-kick to make it 3-1 to Southampton! The midfielder is known for his deadly delivery at set pieces and he showed why there! He bent the ball around the wall, straight into the corner, giving Foster no chance of saving it.
54'
Great play from Hoedt as he sees the gap and looks to dart through it only to be fouled by a mixture of Barry and Dawson. Ward-Prowse takes the ball away from Boufal, who doesn't look too happy at being denied the opportunity to take the set piece.
53'
Southampton look the better team at the start of this second half, they are in control of possession, playing it nicely around the pitch and look very dangerous in attack, with the Baggies starting to sit deep and give away cheap fouls in the final third.
50'
West Brom win a free-kick in an excellent position after Bertrand pulled down Phillips, just 20 yards out from goal. Brunt steps up to take it, he fires it underneath the jumping wall, aiming for the bottom corner of the net, but it takes a slight touch off Tadic and goes wide for a corner. The resulting corner comes to nothing.

GOOOAAALLL! SAINTS TAKE THE LEAD! What a turnaround this is for the visitors! Jack Stephens is the man with the goal, his third goal in eight days for Southampton. It comes from another Ward-Prowse corner from the left and Jack Stephens gambles by making a run to the near post, his header loops over Foster and straight into the far corner of the net.
40'
M. Lemina has scored a goal for Southampton! Assist by S. Boufal.
GREAT CHANCE! Carrillo with the best opportunity of the game for Southampton. Phillips gives possession away far too easily in the middle of the pitch, Bertrand then breaks forward and whips a low cross into the box which the Saints striker turns towards goal, forcing Foster to make an excellent save.
Ward-Prowse took the set piece, it seemed to be cleared by the Baggies, but it came to Boufal, who then layed it off to Lemina.
GOOOAAALLL! SAINTS EQUALISE! What a strike by Lemina to level the score. It came from the resulting corner from the Carrillo chance, the ball was initially cleared to the edge of the area, which Lemina ran onto and powered an unstoppable strike at goal. Foster had no chance.
39'
Not long to go until half-time now, can Southampton grab an equaliser before the break? They are spending more and more time in the Baggies half now, but it is all pretty comfortable for West Brom's defence and Foster has yet to pull off a good save to deny the visitors.
38'
STAT: Albion's tally of three league wins this season is the lowest in the top four English divisions. They have also dropped 15 points from winning positions this season, second only to Watford's 16.
35'
Brief stoppage in play here as McAuley has come off worse in an aerial challenge with Carrillo and he is currently receiving treatment. It looks like he should be fine to continue, as Alan Pardew won't want to pick up any more injuries, especially in defence which is an area they are already stretched in.
34'
The Saints are certainly getting closer to an equaliser here, they have grown into the game as it has gone on, but they are just lacking a clinical touch and final ball in the Baggies dangerzone.
32'
Cedric whips a terrific low cross into the box, with Tadic and Carrillo both just inches away from getting on the end of it. Thankfully for the Baggies, Foster manages to read the cross and gather the ball before it ends up in the back of the net.
29'
As we approach the half an hour mark here at the Hawthorns, it remains one-nil to the Baggies thanks to that early Hegazi header. Saints have enjoyed more possession but they haven't really troubled Foster in the West Brom goal, just a couple of half chances.
27'
STAT: Southampton are without a win in 12 Premier League games since beating Everton in November, drawing five and losing seven. It is their longest run without a top-flight victory since March 1995 - they have never gone 13 winless games in the Premier League.
24'
West Brom look very dangerous at corners, especially with Brunt on delivery. Another good set piece into the box ends up falling to Hegazi at the far post, but he doesn't react quickly enough to the ball and it hits him, rather than powering a header a goal and Ward-Prowse is able to clear the ball.
22'
G. Barry gets yellow.
Gareth Barry is the first player to be shown a yellow card after his late challenge on Romeu, a poor tackle.
21'
Decent chance! Carrillo gets his head on Lemina's cross from the right-wing, but he can't quite direct it far enough towards goal and it goes just wide of the Baggies goal.
19'
Southampton are playing nice football in the middle of the pitch at the moment but there are struggling to get anywhere near the West Brom final third, with the entire Baggies team making sure they put pressure on every player and pass.
16'
After a quick and frantic start to the game, it has started to settle down and both teams enjoying possession in the middle of the pitch, but West Brom look the more dangerous side in attack at the moment.
14'
STAT: West Brom have picked up just eight points in 11 league matches since Alan Pardew first took charge and Southampton are one of only three teams to have earned fewer points in that period.
12'
Good counter-attack! Saints have their first corner of the game, with the Baggies easily clear and they break up the pitch through Sturridge, he almost gets crowded out but spots a good run from Phillips, plays a through ball towards the winger but there is slightly too much pace on the pass and McCarthy is quick off his line to scoop up the ball.
9'
Southampton are starting to see more of the ball now, they are enjoying a lot of possession in the middle of the pitch, utilising that extra man they have in there.
7'
CLOSE! Southampton come close with their first attack of the game, as Boufal tries his luck from around 25 yards out and his right-footed shot goes just a yard or so wide of Ben Foster's post. Not too far away.
6'
Head-to-head: Southampton have won three of their last four Premier League matches against West Brom, including 1-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Brunt whipped a left-footed corner into the box, straight into the path of Hegazi who made no mistake from just a couple of yards out.
GOOOAAALLL! WEST BROM LEAD! The perfect start to the game for the Baggies, Hegazi with a superb header from the Brunt corner which has put the hosts into the lead. Brunt put the ball into an excellent area in the penalty area and Hegazi was allowed so much time and pace to rise highest and power his header past a helpless McCarthy in the Saints goal.
3'
Phillips does well to break free down the right-wing, he tries to whip a cross into the box but it is blocked by Bertrand and out for the first corner of the game. Brunt to take it, all the big men are up from the back in anticipation.
2'
Decent start here by the Baggies, they got the game underway and have spent the opening couple of minutes in possession of the ball, getting a feel for the game and looking to get off to a terrific start. The atmosphere is electric inside the Hawthorns this afternoon, with both teams needing a victory to boost their survival chances.
