A late yellow card for Mosquera after he clatters into Diego Costa.
90' +1
THREE minutes of added time signalled by the officials.
89'
It's not entirely clear what system Atletico are playing now, as Moya is an attacking midfielder. Simeone's options at full-back have been stretched by injury and that's showing in the latter stages here.
88'
Toni Moya enters the game and replaces T. Partey.
Final change from Atletico as Partey is replaced, handing Antonio Moya his LaLiga debut.
87'
Seedorf set to secure two unwanted records. This would be the 15th game without a win for Deportivo, a club record, whilst the Dutchman will be the first Deportivo manager to fail to win any of his first eight games since 1966.
85'
Deportivo are finishing the game as the stronger of the two sides but Atletico's resilient defence continues to stand firm to frustrate the visiting side. From Simeone's perspective, this is a vintage performance from Los Rojiblancos.
82'
F. Andone enters the game and replaces Adrián López.
It's taken a while but Deportivo finally introduce Andone, their top-scorer, in place of Adrian Lopez.
80'
MISS! Another threatening attack from Deportivo comes to nothing, as the push forward down the left before shifting play to substitute Bakkali on the opposite side of the box. He kills the ball with his touch though and allows Partey, now playing at right back, to come across and then shoots into the side netting.
78'
Both sides have just one change remaining and it's surprising that Deportivo are yet to introduce Andone, the only man to have scored for them in the past eight matches. Simeone, meanwhile, now has a bench with not a single minute of LaLiga action between them.
77'
Z. Bakkali enters the game and replaces E. Çolak.
Second change of the game for Deportivo, who replace Colak with Bakkali.
Minute
Description
76'
Costa has been in the wars since his introduction and has just had a talking to from Simeone. On the ball though he has looked just as lively.
74'
Free-kick on a dangerous position on the near side after Luisinho fouls Partey. Koke is the man to take but his delivery is headed away.
72'
Fernando Torres enters the game and replaces K. Gameiro.
Atletico introduce the second experienced player of their bench, with Gameiro replaced by Torres- who is still seeking his 100th LaLiga goal.
71'
A better period for Deportivo once again but they're yet to test Oblak since the restart. Really disappointing from Seedorf's side, which has been the story of their campaign.
69'
Diego Costa gets yellow.
How long has he been on? Costa fouls Albentosa and earns himself a booking.
68'
WHAT A TACKLE! Deportivo break and look certain to net an equalising goal. Valle beats the defence and surges through on goal but is halted by an excellent sliding tackle from Lucas Hernandez, which he needed to get spot on otherwise it would have surely been a red card.
66'
CLOSE! Almost an immediate impact for Diego Costa, as Koke cuts the ball back to his compatriot and the forward curls an effort past the post.
64'
Diego Costa enters the game and replaces Carlos Isaac.
Also a change for Atletico, as Diego Costa is introduced in place of goalscorer debutant Carlos Isaac and that will lead to a reshuffle.
63'
Borja Valle enters the game and replaces S. Muntari.
Right on cue, a change for Deportivo, who introduce Valle in place of veteran midfielder Muntari.
61'
The game is crying out for a substitute. Atletico need one to find their spark once again, whilst Deportivo need a fresh set of ideas in their quest to find an equaliser.
60'
POST! Saul wiggles his way into the box after pinching the ball and sees a driven effort deflected onto the post by Luisinho, then back off Ruben Martinez and behind for a corner. It comes to nothing though.
59'
Lucas Perez wins a corner for Deportivo, which is played short before Luisinho crosses to the back post. Nothing comes of it though as Atletico mop up the danger yet again.
57'
Not too much expansive play from either side since the break, with Atletico happy to contain their opponents and Deportivo still not managing to break down the reslient defence of the hosts.
55'
Better from Deportivo, who find space out wide utilising both Lopez and Luisinho, but the attack eventually comes to nothing as Oblak collects the ball.
53'
Vintage Atletico display this, happy to sit with possession and not do too much with it whilst preserving a narrow lead. It's the Simeone way and Deportivo look unlikely to be able to turn the tide of the game.
51'
Deportivo continue to want to go direct when they do get the ball, exploiting the pace of Lucas Perez, but they haven't been able to unleash him since the break. Instead, they've had to soak up a large amount of Atletico pressure.
49'
Pretty much settled back into the same tempo that we saw in the first half, with Atletico Madrid dominating possession but Deportivo continue to show intent when they push forward.
47'
The officials weren't too happy with Deportivo at the break after they took a while to emerge for the second period, so it seems Seedorf had plenty to say to his side.
45'
KICK-OFF! Back underway in the Spanish capital, where Atletico now attack to the right. Plenty of activity from the substitutes at the break and we could see Simeone bleed further young talent into the frame in the second half.
43'
Still not entirely convincing from Atletico defensively but Deportivo have so far lacked the quality to beat Oblak, despite a number of decent opportunities.
41'
The atmosphere at the Wanda Metropolitano has changed dramatically since Gameiro's penalty, as the sense of unease has been lifted.
39'
MISS! Another decent atacking move from Deportivo hands the visitors a corner and there's a massive chance to equalise. Sidnei misses the initial header and Oblak, who had charged off his line, fails to collect. It comes to Mosquera at the far post but he can't hit the target, a massive waste.
37'
Clarence Seedorf, on his 42nd birthday, has a massive task ahead of him at the break to try and spark his side into what would be a remarkable turnaround. The key for Deportivo now is not to concede again before the whistle.
35'
Massive blow for Deportivo, who were enjoying a fine period in the match. It's arguably soft as there isn't too much contact but there's definitely a pull from Mosquera. Whether it's enough for a penalty is a different debate but the offender has to be questioned for giving the officials a decision to make.
34'
Penalty goal scored by K. Gameiro for Atletico Madrid!
GOAL! Gameiro makes no mistake from the spot, stepping up and firing fiercely into the top-right corner to open the scoring.
33'
Lucas Pérez gets yellow.
A stupid yellow card for Lucas Perez, who walks over to the assistant to protest the deciion and delay the taking of the penalty.
32'
PENALTY! Atletico have a golden opportunity to take the lead as Gabi's lofted free-kick into the area causes danger, where Mosquera holds back Saul and concedes a spot-kick.
30'
Back-to-back free-kicks for Deportivo out wide on the left, the first coming after Carlos Isaac's foul but they failed to create anything. The second sees Lucas Perez curl into the middle, where Muntari heads over.
28'
Carlos Isaac gets yellow.
A debut yellow card of Carlos Isaac after he lunges in on Muntari.
A positive period for the visitors and one that will give Seedorf plenty of encouragement. That's not enough on it's own though as Deportivo desperately need points, although another draw here wouldn't be a bad result at all.
26'
Oblak saves! Another threatening attack from Deportivo, who are starting to find joy out wide, and an inviting cross is whipped towards the head of Perez in the middle. It's not an easy chance but he does hit the target, issuing another warning sign for Atletico.
24'
Deportivo hit on the counter, with Lucas Perez again finding space as he bursts down the left, but the angle for a finish is extremely difficult and he lacks support, leading to a shot that fails to test Oblak.
23'
Another corner for Atletico, who continue to pile on the pressure. They've had six already but, once again, fail to create any danger from the set piece.
21'
First chance for Atletico at the other end, as Correa works his way into space and onto his left foot before forcing Martinez into a diving save, although it was a comfortable one.
20'
SAVE! A huge moment for Deportivo! The visitors pinch the ball after forcing a mistake from Savic and Perez bursts through on goal but he never looked confident, with Oblak making a fine save.
19'
Deportivo can't find their rhythm on the ball on this game, which continues their woes. Remarkably, it's been exactly 100 days since their last win.
16'
Not a bad start for Deportivo, as they've managed to keep Atletico quiet in the final third and are also showing their intent to push forward. So far though, they lack the creativity to cause significant issues.
14'
Koke's delivery is headed away but Atletico work it out to the right again, winning another corner. Godin rises in the area but concedes a foul in the process.
13'
Luisinho gets yellow.
Mistimed challenge from Luisinho on Carlos Isaac sees him become the first player to be booked this evening and gives Atletico a dangerous area to whip a free-kick into the middle.
12'
First chance for Deportivo to test Atletico's defence, as they win two corners in quick succession. The visitors fail to create anything though and have to fight off the counter, though they manage to stop Gameiro in his tracks.
10'
Quick break in play as Luisinho receives treatment but looks to be ok, which is a relief for Seedorf. The Dutch manager is at severe risk of a rather unwanted record, as he could be the first Deportivo manager to fail to win his first eight LaLiga games in charge since Enrique Orizaola in 1966.
8'
One way traffic in the Spanish capital as Atletico control the tempo. Carlos Isaac has already ventured forward down the right and is remarkably the 20th youth player to be blooded into the first-team during Diego Simeone's tenure.
6'
Atletico starting strong and get another corner, this time on the near side and taken by Koke. His delivery is headed away by Mosquera and Deportivo look to break but fail to test the hosts' defence.
4'
Early corner for Atletico on the far side is taken by Partey and whipped towards the near post, where Correa can only flick an effort wide of the mark.
1'
KICK-OFF! We're underway at the Wanda Metropolitano, where Deportivo get us started and look to become the first side to visit Atletico's new home and secure a LaLiga victory. They attack to the right in the first half.
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the La Liga clash between Atletico Madrid and Deportivo, where two sides with entirely different aims for the remainder of the campaign go head-to-head in the Spanish capital.
Atletico Madrid XI: Jan Oblak; Carlos Isaac, Stefan Savic, Diego Godin, Lucas Hernandez; Saul Niguez, Gabi, Thomas Partey; Koke; Angel Correa, Kevin Gameiro.
Deportivo XI: Ruben Martinez; Juanfran, Raul Albentosa, Sidnei, Luisinho; Guilherme, Sulley Muntari, Emre Colak; Pedro Mosquera; Lucas Perez, Adrian Lopez.
Atletico subs: Axel Werner, Fernando Torres, Juan Aguero, Antonio Montoro, Diego Costa, Antonio Moya, Keidi Bare.
Seedorf makes just a single change to the side that drew 1-1 with fellow strugglers Las Palmas before the international break, with Andone dropping to the bench and seeing Mosquera taking his spot in the side. Arsenal loanee Lucas Perez, who has come under immense criticism from supporters this season, leads the line again but hasn't scored since November.
All eyes on Atleti, who will be expected to secure a win today, but half a mind will be cast on the Europa League quarter-final clash with Sporting Lisbon and the Madrid derby next weekend. That could benefit Deportivo but Seedorf's side need a major improvement to secure a massive upset.
Two defeats in the last three LaLiga matches for Atletico Madrid has ended any slim chances of glory for Diego Simeone's side this season and Los Rojiblancos are now battling to retain their second-placed spot in the table. Real Madrid's victory yesterday leaves Atletico with just a single point lead over their arch-rivals but Simeone does have upcoming matches in Europe on his mind, as we will see with the line-up.
Deportivo, meanwhile, sit second-bottom in LaLiga and the prospect of relegation to the Segunda is hovering over the club. Eight points from safety with nine games to go, Clarence Seedorf's side have time to turn things around but need results quickly. Seedorf is yet to win a game in charge of the strugglers, with three draws and four defeats in his seven games in charge.
Atletico name four changes to the side that was beaten by Villarreal before the international break, bringing in Carlos Isaac, Savic, Gameiro and Correa. Sime Vrsaljko and Jose Gimenez have knocks, whilst Antoine Griezmann is suspended and Costa drops to the bench. 19-year-old Carlos Isaac makes his LaLiga debut and he could share that honour with a number of players, as only Costa and Torres on the Atleti bench have featured in the league.
Hopefully there's plenty of goals today but it doesn't look promising considering the LaLiga results today. From four games so far, there's been just two goals- although one of them has given Malaga a 1-0 victory over Villarreal, which means that Deportivo enter the game just three points above the bottom of the table.
HALF TIME! Far from vintage from Atletico Madrid but they have the lead thanks to Kevin Gameiro's penalty. Lucas Perez and Pedro Mosquera both missed huge opportunities for the visitors, who look set for their winless run to continue for another week.
Oblak, on his 150th Atletico appearance, has been tested and that is a concern for Diego Simeone to address at the break. At the other end, Koke has excelled in a free ranging position just behind the front two whilst Carlos Isaac, on his LaLiga debut, has impressed with his surging runs down the right- although he has been booked.
Deportivo are looking to end a 14-game winless run but, as has often been the case this season, they lack the quality in the final third. 15 top-flight games without a win would set a club record for the worst run in the club's proud history, heaping further misery upon fans who have had to endured a lot in recent seasons.
FULL TIME! Kevin Gameiro's first-half penalty hands Atletico Madrid another three points in their battle to secure second spot in LaLiga, remarkably extending their run of clean sheets at home to six matches in succession. Deportivo had a number of chances throughout the game but the relegation threatened side failed to fully test Atletico's defensive line.
Hardly a convincing performance from Atletico Madrid but it's the vintage style of Diego Simeone, securing a goal and then sitting back to protect it. They've avoided significant concerns ahead of a huge week for Los Rojiblancos, who clash with Sporting Lisbon on Thursday in the Europa League quarter-finals before making the short journey across the capital next weekend to tackle Real Madrid.
15 games without a win for Deportivo, the worst run in their history. Clarence Seedorf's side continue to look in significant danger and today's results, which saw Malaga win, means they could find themselves rock-bottom at the end of proceedings next weekend. Deportivo clash with Malaga next weekend, which will be huge in the relegation picture.
