LENS, France, Jan 4 (AFP) - Senegalese international Pape Bouba Diop has joined French first division club Lens from Swiss club Grasshoppers on a five-and-a-half year contract, Lens said on Friday.
Bouba Diop, 24, joined the Zurich-based club in January last year after playing for Espoir Dakar and Diaraaf Dakar in Senegal.
He has been named in the initial 25-man Senegal squad for the African Nations Cup, which takes place in Mali from January 19 to February 11.
At Lens, Bouba Diop will be joining three other Senegalese internationals - defender Ferdinand Coly, midfielder Pape Sarr and El Hadj Diouf.
