Heynckes happy with league win

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes said he is confident ahead of Wednesday's Champions League match against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

The Bavarian giants are looking to build on their 2-1 victory in the first leg of the semi-final tie as try to book a place in the tournament decider, which will take place at the Allianz Arena.

Their 2-1 victory against Werder Bremen on Saturday did not prevent Borussia Dortmund from retaining their Bundesliga title, but Heynckes was still happy with the result.

"This is a very important victory for the morale of the team," he told a press conference.

"We will go to Madrid very optimistic and thinking about reaching the Champions League final."

Franck Ribery and Mario Gomez were on the scoresheet for Bayern in the first leg, while Mesut Ozil scored for Real.
