Sevilla set to challenge leaders Real

Sevilla's Jesus Navas has warned Real Madrid not to underestimate them ahead of their La Liga clash on Sunday.

Navas claimed his coach Michel - regarded as a Real legend, having joined the club as a 13-year-old before making over 400 Liga appearances in a 14-year spell between 1982 and 1996 - however he said the tactician's knowledge of the title favourites could benefit them at the Bernabeu.

"Michel knows Real Madrid well. He has a plan to stop them," Navas told AS.

"We know how to take our chances. Sevilla always look up, our playing style and the players we have support our philosophy.

"Real Madrid will go to the death for that edge over Barcelona (in the league standings) and they currently have it (first place) in their grasp.

"I rejoice for (former team-mate) Sergio Ramos, especially because he deserves a title victory both as a person and as professional."

Navas was then quizzed on whether another disappointing season for Sevilla would prompt him into leaving the club in the off-season, but he remained tight-lipped on the prospect.

"You never know, what I want is to enjoy my life and grow each and every day," he said.

"I'm not ruling anything out, but needless to say I only think about what happens at Sevilla, nothing distracts me."
