Ronaldo´s Thai holiday earner

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo took his holiday in Thailand to promote Toyota's new compact pick-up truck.

The Portugal international has been relaxing in the Asian country following Euro 2012, and in recent days he has posted several pictures on his Facebook account of his vacation with his Russian model girlfriend Irina Shayk.

The 27-year-old shot a TV commercial for Toyota to promote its new pick-up truck, called Hilux Vigo Champ, while signing a new sponsorship deal with the Japanese-based company.

"This car is a champ, I am a champ and together we work well," Ronaldo said.

"When I watch on TV how people are passionate about football here, it is incredible. Thank you all."

Real Madrid began preparations for the new season on Monday, but it is believed that Ronaldo will join up with the rest of the squad on July 28, in time for the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
