Hong´s South Korea offer no quarter

31 July 2012 07:21

South Korea coach Hong Myung-Bo says his team will play to win against Gabon despite only needing a point to progress at the Olympics.

Hong's team need a draw or better to qualify for the final eight of the 2012 Olympic football tournament after recording a 2-1 victory over Switzerland and a goalless draw with Mexico in their opening two group games.

However, Hong insisted they would go out looking for all three points against Gabon on Wednesday.

"We aren't going to approach this game passively, assuming that we can qualify for the quarter-finals with a draw," Hong told reporters.

Mexico are top of Group B with four points alongside South Korea, while Switzerland and Gabon have only one point each so far.
