Guidolin questions Udinese future

Exhausted Udinese head coach Francesco Guidolin is considering quitting the club just a day after securing Champions League qualification.

The 65-year-old's three-year reign has been an undoubted success with Sunday's 2-0 win at Catania ensuring they finished in third place following a fourth-placed finish in 2010-11.

Guidolin cited fatigue as the reason he was seriously weighing up his future.

"I don't know if I'll continue coaching because I'm very tired," Guidolin said.

"I'm exhausted and I need to recover, I need to rest some more than just the summer holidays, because it was a very long and very difficult season.

"For the way I live stress I don't know if my health will let me start again in two months.

"I don't know, I have to make a calm decision and together with my wonderful club."

Guidolin's remarks follow the resignation of Roma's Luis Enrique and Barcelona maestro Pep Guardiola, who recently stood down from their respective posts due to fatigue.
