More nervous moments as a cross comes to the penalty spot, but a last-ditch tackle clears it. Good as they at defending, you have to wonder if Uruguay can continue like this.

It's been a very open match thus far with plenty of players pouring forward for both sides. The tricky part for the Koreans will be that the Uruguayans also defend as well as anyone in the tournament.

Good as the cross and finish were, you have to wonder what the Korean defense was doing. Perhaps in awe of the cross, because no one had eyes on Suárez and no one had an effort at cutting the ball out. Great start for Uruguay minutes after the post let them off at the other end.

The match is under way - It's on in Port Elizabeth with Uruguay in their traditional light blue kit and the Koreans clad in all white. Wolfgang Stark of Germany is the referee.
The real football begins today as World Cup 2010 shifts to the knockout rounds. It begins this afternoon with the Round of 16 in Port Elizabeth as Uruguay take on Korea Republic at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. The Uruguayans qualified as Group A winners with an opening draw against France and wins over South Africa and Mexico. Korea Republic were second to Argentina in Group B, their run highlighted with a win over Greece. Uruguay coach Óscar Tabárez makes just one change from the side that beat Mexico, and it's expected as Diego Godín returns from injury in place of Mauricio Victorino. Likewise, just one just change for Korean coach Jung-Moo Huh as with Jae-Sung Kim replacing Ki-Hun Yeom in midfield.
