What an effort from Celozzi! He has Weidenfeller beaten all ends up with his dipping effort from the edge of the area but it cracks the crossbar and comes back out. No luck for the visitors today.
89'
M. Hummels gets yellow.
N. Şahin enters the game and replaces İ. Gündoğan.
Mats Hummels isn't very happy becuase he's in the book. It looked a pretty innocuous challenge from behind on Occean but the referee deemed it bookable.
87'
Nearly. They take the free kick short and work the ball into the area where Meier is able to fizz the ball across goal. No Frankfurt player can get on the end of it but Hummels almost diverts it into his own net as he clears for a corner.
86'
Into the final five minutes then. Can Eintracht conjure up a consolation in the closing moments? they Have a free kick in Dortmund's half.
84'
It's never an easy place to come Signal Iduna park but you feel Eintracht will be a little disappointed with their display tonight. They are only in their first season back in the top flight but the way their season has been going they may have fancied their chances before kick off. Meanwhile, Meier forces Weidenfeller to tip over his fierce strike from a tight angle.
82'
M. Leitner enters the game and replaces M. Götze.
Dortmund are set to reclaim second spot from Bayer Leverkusen then after this performance. Mario Gotze makes way for Moritz Leitner as Dortmund make their second substitute.
80'
S. Celozzi enters the game and replaces S. Rode.
Frankfurt make their final change as Stefano Celozzi replaces Sebastian Rode. Into the final 10 now.
77'
K. Matmour enters the game and replaces S. Lakić.
Any faint hope of an Eintracht Frankfurt fightback has been extinguished with that dismissal. The match is beginning to settle into a training match rhythm as both sides look to play out the final 10 with no further casualties.
74'
T. Inui gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
That is a truly astonishing decision. Takashi Inui is tussling for the ball with Subotic and to be honest, it's 50/50 as they both have a hold on each other shirt. Unfortunately for Inui, Subotic decides to throw himself to the floor and earns the Eintracht winger a second booking and an early bath. Two red cards in this game. Neither of them warranted in my opinion.
73'
The home fans are in higher spirits now. Singing and drum beating have replaced the jeers and whistles aimed at the referee.

Description

@thompsonotubelu and a few others of you were worried about Dortmund becoming complacent. I think we can safely say they have avoided that now. Frankfurt don't look to have any fight left in them.
68'
That third goal has been met by a big sense of relief around the stadium. They really haven't been threatened enough Dortmund in this second half and if anything Frankfurt look like the side with 10-men. All the same, the hosts needed that goal.
66'
K. Großkreutz enters the game and replaces J. Błaszczykowski.
Kuba's work for the evening is done as he is replaced by Kevin Grosskreutz for the final stages.
65'
M. Reus has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by M. Götze.
GOOALLLL!!! REUS BAGS A HAT-TRICK!!! Big miss indeed. Dortmund go straight down the other end and put this game to bed. Gundogan plays through Gotze he hassles his way to the byline before committing the keeper and teeing up Marco Reus to complete his hat-trick. Game, set and match.
64'
Big chance for Eintracht Frankfurt to get back in the game. Substitute Occean heads the ball back across goal from a centre but Lakic can only volley the ball wide. Big miss.
63'
Mario Gotze has been a little quiet by his standards but he gets involved in the action here. The little architect wriggles his way down the right-hand side of the box and thumps an effort straight into Trapp's chest.
61'
Lovely bit of skill from Ilkay Gundogan as he takes the ball down beautifully before flicking the ball over the head of his opponents with his heel. Silky stuff.
60'
O. Occéan enters the game and replaces S. Aigner.
Eintracht have offered nothing since the break and Armin Veh throws on Olivier Occean to freshen things up. He replaces Stefan Aigner as the visitors throw caution to the wind and play with two up top.
58'
What on earth?! Now Neven Subotic is at it! A long free kick is drilled into the area and Trapp's punch falls straight at the feet of Dortmund's other centre half who cracks a ferocious volley goalward, only to see it deflected over the bar for a corner.
55'
I have no idea why he was up there but Mats Hummels may just have provided Jurgen Klopp with an extra option up front next week. The big central defender shows some deft footwork to fashion a shooting opportunity before unleashing a curling effort just over the bar. I don't think Schieber or Lewandowski should be worrying about their position just yet.
54'
T. Inui gets yellow.
Never try your hand at rugby Takashi Inui. The Frankfurt midfielder tries to wrestle Mario Gotze to the floor but only ends up there himself as he fails in his endeavors. Felix Brych adds a yellow card to compound his misery.
51'
N. Subotić gets yellow.
Dortmund centre half is the latest to find himself in the book after being adjudged to have jumped unfairly for a header. Not a big fan of contact this Felix Brych fella.
50'
A little moment of comedy at Signal Iduna Park but I don't think Alexander Meier will see the funny side. Srdjan Lakic tires to play in his teammate but the midfielder slips over as he shapes up to shoot. Queue ironic cheers from the home support.
48'
Tight offside call given against Stefan Aigner as he looks to burst into Weidenfeller's area but it's probably the right call. Just.
46'
Dortmund get us back underway and look to start the half with the same intensity they began with in the first as Gotze jinks his way down the left but has his shot blocked by his teammate Reus.
45'
There will be just one minute of added time before the break at Signal Iduna Park.
43'
S. Lakić gets yellow.
It's Frankfurt's lone striker who's in trouble now as he is booked for leading with the elbow. Much the same as Scieber's. I guess you can't have a go at Felix Brych for consistency.
41'
Best chance for Eintracht so far. Sebastian Rode plays a nice one-two with Lakic and he lifts the ball beyond Weidenfeller but it roles agonizingly wide of the left-hand upright.
40'
That should have silenced the whistles! A well worked free kick sees Gotze take the ball down in the box with plenty of room. He touches the ball off to Kuba but once again the Pole blazes over from 6 yards out.
38'
There is still a game of football being played, but it doesn't feel like the same one I was watching 10 minutes ago. The Dortmund fans have started whistling and seem a touch nervy. As do the team as they invite pressure on from the visitors.
36'
Jurgen Klopp has had a few words with the officials on the touchline. He feels the decision may have been a tad harsh judging by his gesticulating. He may have a point. Schieber's eyes were fixed on the ball.
33'
So Dortmund now have to see out the final 60 minutes or so with 10-men. If Eintracht were looking for a lifeline, they've just been thrown one.
31'
J. Schieber gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
RED CARD SCHIEBER! This is exactly what Dortmund did not need. Already without Lewandowski through suspension, Julian Schieber goes and picks up a second yellow for an elbow.
30'
Seconds later Inui fires another cross into the box, this one with a little more sting, and Weidenfeller has to be on hi guard to get down to the ball.
29'
Inui swings in the first corner of the game for Eintracht but it's easily cleared at the front post.
27'
J. Schieber gets yellow.
Julian Schieber goes into the book for late tackle on Zambrano. Not the prettiest attempt to win the ball I've ever seen.
26'
Borussia have anther chance to break but Gundogan's pass falls just behind Mario Gotze as he readies himself to bear down on goal. Frankfurt are still looking flimsy at the back.
23'
Jurgen Klopp's men appear to have dealt with Frankfurt's brief retaliation to those two goals and the game has now settled down. Eintracht swing in a deep free kick but it comes to nothing.
20'
Another cross into Roman Weidenfeller's area and again it's a Frankfurt head on it. This time Srdjan Lakic rises high but can't get any real power or direction on the ball.
18'
That quickfire double from the hosts has sparked Frankfurt into some sort of action and most of the game has been played in Dortmund's half since Reus's second. Can they force their way back into the game?
16'
Better from Veh's men as Inui heads a cross down into the path of Meier. The attacking midfielder is allowed to turn and get his shot away but it's blocked and cleared upfield by Dortmund.
14'
Eintracht finally get the ball down in Dortmund's half but Takashi Inui's cross goes straight out of play. Something for Armin Veh's side to build on though.
12'
Even from the opening minutes, those goals looked like they were coming. It's been a truly dreadful start from the visitors. They haven't even turned up yet.
9'
M. Reus has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by M. Hummels.
GOOALLLLL!!!! 2 IN AS MANY MINUTES FOR REUS!!!! Eintracht are sinking without a trace here. Literally seconds after the restart, Mats Hummels is given the freedom of the Frankfurt half to slip in Reus who calmly slots beyond Trapp.
8'
M. Reus has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by M. Götze.
GOOOAAALLLL!!!!!! REUS PUTS DORTMUND IN FRONT!!! You cannot give this boy a second chance. Reus makes no mistake with his second one-on-one to slip the ball beyond Trapp after latching on to Mario Gotze's sumptuous clipped pass.
7'
Lively start from the hosts. Eintracht have yet to string a pass together in their opponents half!
5'
Dortmund have started with all guns blazing here. A loose ball in their own half sees Frankfurt surrender possession to Bender who plays through Marco Reus but he can't find a way past Kevin Trapp.
3'
Early chance for the hosts and Kuba should be doing better from there. Reus dribbles the ball across the park like a selfish school boy, eventually laying the ball off to the Polish international but he fires high and wide.
1'
Eintracht Frankfurt do the honours and get us underway at a boisterous Signal Iduna Park.
Good afternoon and welcome to Goal.com's coverage of Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt from Signal Iduna Park. I'm Harry Slavin and I'll be here to take you through all the action as it happens.
The Bundesliga has been pretty stingy with goals this weekend, with only 10 going in over the six fixtures so far. Let's hope Dortmund and Frankfurt can improve that rate this evening.
Despite the lack of goals though, the results have gone to form. Bayern earned a hard fought victory at Wolfsburg on Friday night and Bayer Leverkusen have leapfrogged Dortmund for the time being after squeezing past Augsburg 1-0 in their afternoon kick off.
Jurgen Klopp's men will could even find themselves fourth in the table by the close of play this evening if they lose. The Signal Iduna Park hasn't proved much of a fortress for Die Schwarzgelben this season and Frankfurt can sail above their opponents tonight with victory.
We aren't far from kick off so let's get some starting XIs up for you lot.
So Dortmund will have to make do without their top scorer Robert Lewandowski after his sending off last weekend in the shock defeat to Hamburg. Julian Schieber takes his place up front and Ilkay Gundogan survives his own injury scare to take his place beside Sven Bender in the centre of midfield.
So we are minutes away from kick off as the sides wait in the tunnel. Who would have thought at the beginning of the season this game would have seen the Bundesliga's third and fourth placed sides going toe-to-toe. Eintracht have had a dream season so far. Can they conjure up another memorable result tonight?
Of course, as always, all comments and predictions are welcome. Use the box at the side or tweet in to @harryslavin.
HALFTIME: DORTMUND 2-0 FRANKFURT. Jurgen Klopp's men came speeding out of the blocks in the opening minutes and they looked good value for their lead after Reus's two well-taken strikes. However they've taken their foot off the gas and Schieber's sending off ensures that this game is far from over.
So Dortmund still have a job on their hands if they are to put this game to bed. They looked so comfortable in the opening stages and they looked in danger of racking up a cricket score. Schieber's dismissal though has changed the complexion of the match and will give Armin Veh's men a much needed boost.
STAT TIME: Borussia Dortmund bossed that half of football with just 36% of the possession. They've demonstrated their devastating counter-attacking ability in the first half. They'll need to do the same in the second to build on their lead.
It's going to be an enthralling second half, of that much I'm sure. If you're using that chat box on the match centre why not let us know some of your predictions for the second half? Or alternatively you can get in touch via twitter using @harryslavin.
The sides are on their way back out. Jurgen Klopp is prowling the sidelines looking ponderous. I wonder what he'll have to say if Dortmund fail to clinch victory from here.
FT DORTMUND 3-0 FRANKFURT. A comfortable victory for the Champions in the end then thanks to Marco Reus's hat-trick. The referee threatened to make the tie more interesting by sending off Julian Schieber in the first half but Eintracht Frankfurt never had an answer to the pace and precision of Jurgen Klopp's men.
The Dortmund players are still out on the pitch saluting their fans, are the Frankfurt players. The noise in the stadium was impressive all game and it's no wonder the Gotze and Co. want to thank the Die Schwarzgelben faithful.
That result then puts Dortmund back above Bayer Leverkusen into second place in the Bundesliga, still a mammoth 15 points behind Bayern. They now have to find a makeshift striker for their next League match after Schieber's sending off but they can hold off worrying about that until Monday morning.
That's it for Goal.com's coverage from Signal Iduna Park. Be sure to stick around for reports, reaction and ratings from tonight's action. Unfortunately there isn't a feature to rate referees, even though I'm sure most of you will have a few opinions about his performance this evening! Thanks for joining me, Harry Slavin and until next weekend, bye for now!
