And that's it! It finishes 5-5 in Sir Alex Ferguson's final game as Manchester United manager.
90' +3
United are frustrating West Brom. They are playing like a team hanging on at the moment.
90' +1
We are into the four allocated minutes of stoppage time.
89'
United try to calm the tempo with a serious of quick passes, but West Brom are hassling as much as possible. They are sensing the most unlikeliest of victories.
87'
Sir Alex Ferguson is absolutely furious on the touchline, and can you blame him? What a way to leave.
86'
R. Lukaku has scored a goal for West Bromwich Albion! Assist by Y. Mulumbu.
GOAL!! IT'S 5-5!! LUKAKU HAS HIS HAT-TRICK! This is just remarkable. The striker bundles the ball past Lindegaard some close range after seeing his first attempt blocked.
83'
R. Ferdinand enters the game and replaces J. Evans.
P. Scholes gets yellow.
81'
Y. Mulumbu has scored a goal for West Bromwich Albion! Assist by B. Jones.
R. Lukaku has scored a goal for West Bromwich Albion! Assist by M. Rosenberg.
GOAL!! And Lukaku scores again! 5-3! The striker makes it look so easy as he darts into the United area and slots past Lindegaard for his second of the day.
GOAL!! Mulumbu makes it 5-4! Surely not?! The midfielder converts a neat cross from the right. West Brom are nine minutes to secure a remarkable point.
79'
M. Rosenberg enters the game and replaces S. Long.
M. Fortuné enters the game and replaces J. Morrison.
West Brom continue to turn up the pressure as Dorrans skips into the area and hits a low drive towards the far post, but Lindegaard is down well to save.
77'
More fine work from the Belgian as he darts to the touchline, pulls off a stepover that takes Buttner out of the equation ... but pulls the ball back to no-one in a white-and-blue shirt.
Minute
Description
75'
And Lukaku should have scored his second! Brunt swivels smartly inside the area and find the striker unmarked 10 yards out, but his instant turn and shot sends the ball narrowly wide of Lindegaard's right-hand post.
74'
West Brom are still battling despite the game now looking beyond them. Lukaku has added so much more to their attacking play and is causing Jones and Evans much hassle.
71'
Oooh, United so nearly hit their sixth of the afternoon as Giggs lofts a ball to the far post for Chicharito who, in turn, unselfishly tries to find Scholes but gets the cut-back all wrong.
69'
P. Scholes enters the game and replaces S. Kagawa.
Scholes comes on for his final appearance for United before retiring for the second time, replacing Kagawa.
67'
CLOSE! West Brom nearly pull another back! Morrison whips in a corner towards the back post and Ollson is completely unmarked, but can only direct his header into the side netting.
65'
Wayne Veysey reports from the Hawthorns again: "What a send-off this is turning out to be for Sir Alex Ferguson. His team have now put five past West Brom and there are still another 26 minutes to play. The beast has been re-awakened."
63'
J. Hernández has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by R. Giggs.
GOAL!! Hernandez makes it 5-2! Giggs is the architect as he trots down the left flank to find the striker with a fine drilled cross. Hernandez does not miss those.
62'
This is not just sentiment," Wayne Veysey notes of Giggs' arrival. "Cleverley has faded in the second half and Ferguson has deemed it the right time to introduce the nous of Manchester United's record appearance-maker."
60'
R. Giggs enters the game and replaces T. Cleverley.
Substitution for United as Giggs comes on for Cleverley.
57'
And they almost get it as Van Persie turns provider with a lovely slide-rule pass towards Valencia, but the winger's shot at goal is blocked.
55'
And again the tide turns in this quite remarkable 'dead rubber'. United now on top as they look to further extend their lead.
53'
R. van Persie has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by A. Valencia.
GOAL!! Van Persie restores United's two-goal advantage! Sir Alex Ferguson does his 'Grandad' clapping celebration once again, as Van Persie seals a golden personal campaign with his 30th goal of the season. This is such an open game that it would be a surprise if Ferguson has witnessed his last goal in the United dugout.
52'
West Brom are right back in this. They seem far more adventurous and sharper. Lukaku is a completely different threat up front, and it's paying divdends.
50'
R. Lukaku has scored a goal for West Bromwich Albion!
GOAL!! Lukaku scores! West Brom looked dead and buried at 3-0 down, but the atmosphere has completely changed at the Hawthorns following half-time substitute Romelu Lukaku's precise right-footed finish from the edge of the box. It is the Belgian striker's 15th league goal of a marvellously productive loan spell that finishes this afternoon.
49'
Half a chance for Lukaku as he picks the ball up on the edge of the area and tries to sneak a shot through the United defence but is immediately crowed out.
48'
More of the same from United at the start of the second half as they pass the ball calmly between themselves, trying to dictate the tempo.
47'
There has been a change for the hosts at half-time as Lukaku comes on for Ridgewell.
46'
R. Lukaku enters the game and replaces L. Ridgewell.
We are back underway at the Hawthorns.
45' +2
And that's it. The referee blows for half-time.
45'
As we enter stoppage time - of which there will be two minutes - West Brom break clear. It's two on two as Dorrans squares to Long, with just Lindegaard to beat, but the goalkeeper stands tall to keep his side's two-goal advantage intact.
42'
That goes seems to have given West Brom a boost as they quickly jump on the front foot and win a corner soon after the restart. It is wasted, but there is definite added impetus from the Baggies.
40'
J. Morrison has scored a goal for West Bromwich Albion! Assist by G. Dorrans.
GOAL!! West Brom pull one back through Morrison! The hosts' first real opening as they squeeze a low pass into the area that the midfielder turns in from six yards.
38'
CLOSE! Oh dear, Hernandez should have made it four! Buttner's long ball forward appears to be heading harmlessly out for a goal kick before Valencia volley it back into the striker's path at the last second, but the striker cannot angle an instinctive shot on target.
35'
To be fair, West Brom actually boast a positive amount of possession but United are just far, far sharper this afternoon and the hosts' defence has simply been unable to cope.
32'
Just as West Brom seemed to get into their stride after those two early goals, United remind them who is in charge today. The hosts look completely defeated already. Could well be a case of how many for United now.
30'
A. Büttner has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by T. Cleverley.
GOAL!! Buttner makes it three! I praised Cleverley moments before and the midfielder splits the West Brom defence perfectly to find the left-back's run into the area. One touch to control and one to shoot beyond Foster and it's 3-0 after half an hour.
27'
Cleverley and Kagawa are working very well together in the centre of the pitch, pulling the West Brom midfield and defence all over the place to leave Valencia continually unmarked on the right-hand side.
25'
CLOSE! United nearly make it three as Cleverley frees Chicharito inside the area to challenge Foster, but the referee soon calls play back from offside. It was a tight, but right, decision.
22'
More promising play from West Brom as they edge their way up field before Dorrans' effort from distance is immediately blocked by Anderson.
20'
The hosts are enjoying some time on the ball for the first time in the game, but Brunt's over-hit delivery into the area to search for Morrison sees normality restored.
18'
West Brom, meanwhile, are struggling to string more than a couple of passes together. Long is very, very isolated up front.
16'
Great, great team play by United as Cleverley sends a cross-field pass to Valencia on the right that finds the winger in acres of space. A dart forward and he is inside the area, but Kagawa cannot get a full connection on his threaded pass.
14'
...Van Persie sends the corner towards the back post, causing panic from Ridgewell but Foster collects at the second attempt.
13'
United utterly dominant, with West Brom struggling to get out of their own half. Van Persie wins a corner off McAuley...
11'
Ok, it's fair to say United's second has dampened the spirits a tad here. The hosts are passing the ball around with ease as they look to give Sir Alex a show here.
9'
J. Olsson is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOAL!! United are 2-0 up inside nine minutes as Valencia's cut-back across goal is turned into his own net by Olsson. A hard ball to defend, sure, but that was still pretty pitiful.
8'
Very much an end-of-season atmosphere at the Hawthorns. That early goal does not seem to have affected the West Brom fans' cheer.
6'
S. Kagawa has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by J. Hernández.
GOAL!! United take the lead with their first real attack of note as Chicarito trots down the right and whips in a superb ball in for Kagawa to nod in from six yards. Easy peasy.
4'
United controlling possession in the opening stages but nothing of note so far at the Hawthorns.
2'
All players looking to get a foot on the ball, with a Kagawa trying to carve an opening down the right only for Ridgewell to guide the danger out for a goal kick.
1'
And we are underway!
Let's get the teams news out of the way then yes? First up, the home team.
Manchester United: Lindegaard; Valencia, Jones, Evans, Buttner; Carrick, Cleverley, Anderson; Chicharito, Van Persie, Kagawa. Subs: De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Giggs, Vidic, Scholes, Januzaj.
West Brom make four changes to the side humiliated 4-0 by Norwich last time out, with Billy Jones, Liam Ridgewell, Graham Dorrans and Chris Brunt are all recalled.
Sir Alex Ferguson makes six changes in his final line-up selection; handing Anders Lindegaard his 10th start of the season as Jonny Evans, Antonio Valencia, Anderson, Tom Cleverley and Alexander Butner also come in.
It is worth highlighting the 18-year-old Belgian midfielder Adnan Januzaj who is on the bench for United today for the first time.
Good afternoon and welcome to Goal's LIVE coverage of the Premier League clash between West Brom and Manchester United on the final day of the 2012-13 season! My name is Alex Young and I will be taking you through the game.
The teams are making their way onto the pitch. We are about five minutes away from kick-off.
Sir Alex Ferguson is signing autographs left right and centre. We are mere moments away from kick-off here.
Today is, of course, all about Sir Alex Ferguson's final game in charge of Manchester United. His 1,500, to be precise. The Scot has won 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups, two Champions League trophies and one Club World Cup. Utterly, utterly remarkable.
Wayne Veysey, our man at the Hawthorns, checks in: "Sir Alex Ferguson is going out in some style following a comprehensive first-half display from the champions. United were 3-0 up almost before the standing ovation for the Scot had finished but James Morrison gave West Brom hope shortly before the break to reduce the deficit. We can expect cameos from the likes of Paul Scholes later on as Ferguson makes the final decisions of his 39-year managerial career."
The teams are back out for the start of the second half.
Big cheers from all sides of the ground for Sir Alex Ferguson, as he steps onto the pitch and applauds all four corners. The end of an era.
As Sir Alex Ferguson goes to the tunnel for his final post-match team talk - which will likely be some show - I also bow out. Thanks for following the game today. Stick with Goal for all the fallout.
