Sevilla are doing their best to rally and produce a late response, but they've pretty much run out of time.
119'
Dani Carvajal has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOAL!!! REAL HAVE SURELY WON IT! Brilliant play by Carvajal! The right-back robs Konoplyanka of the ball, surges forward, breezing past a couple of Sevilla defenders, before poking into the top-left corner. What great play.
118'
Casemiro is the latest to try his luck, but his low drive from some 35 yards is simple for Rico.
116'
Sevilla continue to hang on by a thread. They can't get out of their own area at the moment. Real are applying all the pressure, but so far Sampaoli's men have done just enough.
114'
Another good chance for Real. Lucas is the man causing the problems again, this time crossing from the right. Benzema meets it with a glancing header, but his effort goes just past the post.
112'
SEVILLA SURVIVE! Lovely pass over the top by James. Lucas latches on to it after coming inside and he tries to squeeze the ball past Rico. The goalkeeper makes a half save, before Rami clambers it away just before it can cross the line.
110'
This isn't great for Sevilla, as Pareja appears to have picked up an injury. Yet to be seen whether he'll be able to continue.
108'
Lovely play by Benzema. The Frenchman clips a fine pass into the centre of the area for James to run on to. The Colombian tries to nudge it past the goalkeeper, but Rico blocks it well.
106'
And we are back under way, Sevilla getting us kicked off.

Description
105'
HALF-TIME!
104'
Vazquez has had a good game for Sevilla. This time the Italy international holds the ball up well on the right and wins a free-kick from Marcelo.
102'
Better from Sevilla now, as Vazquez feeds Konoplyanka. He runs at Carvajal, skips past a wild Casemiro challenge but then tries to bend an effort into the top-right corner and his attempt is awful.
100'
NO GOAL! Ramos finds the net again with an excellent header, but during his celebrations the officials opt to chalk it off, with the centre-back seemingly straying just offside. Sevilla are living life on the edge.
98'
Sevilla have hardly seen the ball or been out of their half so far in extra-time. It's been a difficult few minutes for them, but they are significantly further along in their pre-season than Real, so perhaps playing with a man less won't be as much of a hindrance as usual.
96'
Poor punch from Rico, as the goalkeeper comes out and knocks a cross down. It hits Benzema and falls kindly for Modric, but the Croatian's half-volley is wild and goes well over.
95'
James takes the resulting free-kick from a tight angle. He hammers it goalwards and Rico makes the save.
93'
T. Kolodziejczak gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
J. Rodríguez gets yellow.
A booking now for James, who catches Vitolo.
RED CARD! Kolo is off and Sevilla are down to ten men! The Frenchman lunges in on Lucas just to the right of the penalty area and catches the winger on the top of his foot. He's walking before the referee even has the card out.
92'
And Real are straight on the front foot. Benzema cuts inside Mariano and Pareja and manages to get a shot away, but Rico is equal to it.
91'
We are back under way now for extra-time.
90' +4
END OF 90 MINUTES!
90' +3
Sergio Ramos has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Lucas Vázquez.
Excellent cross from Lucas, as the young Spaniard drops the ball right into the danger zone and sets up an easy finish.
GOAL!!! REAL LEVEL AT THE DEATH! Former Sevilla man Ramos pops up right in front of goal to nod in Lucas' brilliant cross to surely send this to extra-time.
90'
T. Kolodziejczak gets yellow.
Good pressure for Real now, as they hook the ball forward after Kolo is booked for a cynical shirt tug on Modric. However, Sevilla survive as Ramos is eventually penalised for a foul on Rico.
88'
Real continue to seek opportunities on the break, but Sevilla have done a very good job of taking the sting out of their attacks.
86'
Marco Asensio gets yellow.
Real Madrid are upping the ante. They are starting to bombard Sevilla with high balls into the area, but first of all Pareja makes a crucial block and then Mariano clears his lines well under pressure.
Asensio is the latest Real star to get booked, this time for a strong challenge on Vitolo.
84'
Dani Carvajal gets yellow.
Heavy tackle from Carvajal, as the right-back catches Vazquez and goes into the book.
82'
Good play by Carvajal! The right-back has been quiet from an attacking perspective so far, but this time he latches on to a clever pass from Casemiro and forces a save from Rico from a tight angle.
80'
That's silly from Vitolo. He has already been booked but opts to slide in on Marcelo and he completely misses the ball, but he escapes a second yellow card.
78'
Sevilla now appear to be playing with Kiyotake as a lone striker, with everyone else sitting a bit deeper, with Vazquez providing the link.
76'
The Sevilla fans think they've already won this. Plenty of signing coming from their section of the stadium, but this is far from over. This is a very capable Real Madrid side!
74'
M. Kranevitter enters the game and replaces Iborra.
And now substitution number three for Sevilla, as Kranevitter replaces Iborra in midfield.
72'
J. Rodríguez enters the game and replaces M. Kovačić.
Penalty goal scored by Y. Konoplanka for Sevilla!
GOAL!!! SEVILLA TAKE THE LEAD! Konoplyanka steps up and confidently dispatches the penalty into the bottom-left corner with what was probably only his fourth touch of the ball.
Final Real switch now, as James Rodriguez comes on for Kovacic, who has been pretty quiet.
71'
PENALTY TO SEVILLA! Vitolo has been quiet so far today, but he comes to life on the right, weaving in and out, before eventually cutting inside Ramos and luring him into a foul.
67'
Y. Konoplanka enters the game and replaces L. Vietto.
And now it's Sevilla's turn. Vietto has had a very quiet game and is finally withdrawn, with Konoplyanka coming on in his place.
66'
L. Modrić enters the game and replaces Isco.
Another change for Real Madrid. Luka Modric enters now, replacing Isco, who by all acounts has had a good game.
64'
Good pressure again from Real, as Ramos rises highest to meet a cross from the left, but Rico deals with it comfortably.
62'
K. Benzema enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
Zidane's first throw of the proverbial dice sees Benzema enter for Morata, who has been generally quiet.
61'
Sevilla are just starting to dictate things in midfield once again, pinging it around in search of an opening. Still, the service to Vazquez and Vietto has been pretty poor.
59'
Very nearly a lovely move by Sevilla. Rami's long-ball is delicately flicked into N'Zonzi's path by Kiyotake, but the two end up getting in each other's way and the attack peters out.
57'
Real have woken up again. Asensio finds himself in space behind Mariano, before cutting a good pass back to the edge of the box. Isco turns cleverly and gets a shot away, but it is deflected agonisingly past the post. The resulting corner is then heading away instantly by N'Zonzi.
55'
Good play by Real. Kovacic prods a through ball in behind Rami for Lucas, who sends a first-time cross into the danger zone. Morata is lying in wait, but Pareja is there and he brilliantly back-heels it away from danger.
53'
Very calm - although risky - play by Rami, as he dribbles past the pressing Morata as the last line of defence, but he pulls it off in fairness to him.
51'
A. Rami enters the game and replaces Daniel Carriço.
Here comes the first change of the match. Daniel Carrico makes way for Sevilla and is replaced by Rami. The Portugal defender was seemingly carrying a knock.
50'
There's the first shot of the second half. Lucas comes in off the right, and lines up a left-footed effort from at least 25 yards, but it is an attempt to forget, as he blasts it into the stands.
48'
Lucas has been given some rough treatment out there so far. This time it is Kolo getting close, barging into the young Spaniard and fouling him.
46'
Off we go for the second half, Sevilla getting things started.
45' +1
HALF-TIME!
45'
This has been quite a feisty encounter so far. There have been plenty of kicks and fouls until now - this certainly does feel like more than a season curtain-raiser.
43'
Real should be ahead again! Lucas runs at Carrico on the right flank and beats easily before crossing. Isco gets into the right area and directs a decent header towards goal, but it is ultimately straight at Rico.
41'
F. Vázquez has scored a goal for Sevilla!
GOAL!!! SEVILLA ARE LEVEL! It's another debut goal, as Vitolo brings the ball down on the edge of the area and a touch off a defending sees it fall kindly for Franco Vazquez, who thrashes a left-footed half-volley into the bottom-right corner. A fine finish.
40'
Vitolo gets yellow.
Out comes the first yellow card of the match and it is waved in the direction of Vitolo, seemingly for persistent fouling.
39'
Asensio finds himself in possession in a similar position to that from which he scored, but his time he opts to clip a pass into the box for Isco, but his effort is overhit and Rico watches it out for a goal-kick.
37'
This has certainly been a disciplined Real Madrid performance so far. Marcelo and Carvajal have not done a great amount of attacking, though they have been very effective defensively.
35'
It's not happening for Vietto so far. The Argentine this time peels out to the left and receives a pass from Kolo. He looks to make a deft touch in order to beat the approaching Varane, but he miscontrols it and concedes a throw.
33'
Sampaoli's men are starting to make better use of the ball. A quick interchange on the right side of the pitch sees Vazquez play Kiyotake into the area and he flashes a ball into the danger zone, but it is deflected out of the path of Vietto.
31'
SAVE! Carrico now gets involved at the other end. The Portuguese centre-back latches on to a loose ball about 30 yards from goal and has a go, forcing Casilla to dive to his left and push it away.
29'
Sevilla get caught with a man less at the back as Real break, but Isco passes out to the left instead of spotting Lucas on the other flank. Asensio gets himself into the area and somehow manages to squeeze a pass through Pareja's legs, but Carrico is there to sweep up.
27'
At long last, Franco Vazquez gets himself involved as he finds space in behind Carvajal. Kovacic tries to get back, but the Italy international holds him off well and picks out a clever pass to Mariano at the back post, only for the right-back to slice his volley well over. Sampaoli throws his hands up in disgust at that effort
25'
Good combination play between Lucas and Isco and things come to an abrupt end as Pareja barges over the latter about 35 yards from goal. The resulting kick is wasted, though, going straight out for a goal-kick.
23'
Sevilla's game plan isn't working at the moment. They are creating nothing currently, with such a huge gap evident between midfield and attack seemingly part of the problem. Vazquez, Vitolo and Vietto have been utterly anonymous so far.
21'
Marco Asensio has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOAL!!! WHAT A HIT! On his official Real Madrid debut, Marco Asensio finds the net in sensational style. The midfielder latches on to a loose ball and sends a stunning left-footed drive into the top-left corner. A gorgeous finish to give them the lead.
19'
Sevilla finally get the ball into the Real box, as Mariano's cross finds its way through to Vietto, but the ball bounces off him and ultimately goes straight through to Casilla.
17'
Isco is causing plenty of problems out there at the moment. This time he gets in behind Mariano, runs at Pareja and plays a teasing low ball right across the face of goal. Kolo just about wrestles Morata out of the way and danger passes by, but that was a good opening for Real.
15'
Free-kick to Real now, as Lucas chases a pass up the right flank, turns back on himself and is barged over by a combination of Kolo and Vitolo. Zidane's men create nothing from the situation, though, as Morata is swiftly caught offside.
13'
Sevilla players aren't looking to spend much time on the ball, instead appearing desperate to offload as quickly as possible. That's almost certainly a Sampaoli trait, though at the moment it is causing them some bother, as it forcing them to rush and make rash decisions.
11'
Finally a bit of possession for Sevilla. Sampaoli's men haven't seen a great deal of the ball so far but they are starting to liven up a little, quickly looking to the flanks with Vitolo and Mariano. They yet to get much luck, though.
9'
Lovely play by this time by Morata. The striker holds the ball up well, keep it from Kolo and then playing it inside to Isco, who darts forward and picks out Asensio to the left. He sends a fierce left-footed drive at goal, but Rico keeps hold of it.
8'
Excellent ball by Asensio! The playmaker clips a cross in towards the near post as Real put Sevilla under pressure. Ramos gets in front of Pareja and makes contact with his head, but his effort goes just over.
6'
Very clever play by Kovacic, as the Croatian scoops a pass over the Sevilla defence for Isco. The Spain midfielder collects but is just muscled out by Kolo, and then Iborra is caught by the former Malaga man. He looks in some pain here.
4'
Real's first attacking opportunity sees Morata win a free-kick out towards the right, but Isco's eventual delivery misses everyone and curls round and out for a throw-in.
3'
The early exchanges have certainly emphasised a new aspect in this Sevilla team following Sampaoli's appointment, with intense pressing clearly demanded by the Argentine. How long will they be able to keep that up?
1'
Off we go! Real get us started in Trondheim.

Hello and welcome to the LIVE coverage of the UEFA Super Cup between Real Madrid and Sevilla. We'll be bringing you the action today, as the respective winners of last season's Champions League and Europa League go head-to-head in Trondheim, Norway looking to get their seasons off to successful starts. Will it be the much-changed Real who triumph, or can Jorge Sampaoli begin this new chapter in his career with a shock?
Of course the major talking point from the perspective of Real is the absence of their three leading lights. Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema all miss out, with only the latter taking a place on the bench. In their places come Marco Asensio, who impressed on loan at Espanyol last term, Lucas Vazquez and Alvaro Morata. The former Juve striker re-joined his former club during the off-season due to a €35m buy-back clause, though he is reportedly unhappy about returning to the Santiago Bernabeu, with first-team football by no means guaranteed. Perhaps today he will stake his claim.
For Sevilla it is difficult to know where to begin when talking about their summer. Coach Unai Emery departed and was swiftly replaced by Jorge Sampaoli, though that wasn't without the Argentine apparently flirting with his national team after moving to Spain, before eventually concluding that it would be "irresponsible" to depart so quickly. In terms of the playing staff, Kevin Gameiro, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Ever Banega - all crucial players last term - have left, and a host of new faces and come in.
These two teams of course face each other due to their successes in Europe last term. Real Madrid clinched their 11th Champions League title by beating bitter rivals Atletico on penalties, a triumph that reportedly kept Zinedine Zidane in a job at the Santiago Bernabeu. Cristiano Ronaldo netted the deciding penalty in May, but he won't be able to have an impact today. Will that swing things in Sevilla's favour?
On the other hand Sevilla taught Liverpool something of a lesson in their Europa League final. Despite falling behind, the Spaniards rallied after the break and blew their opponents away with some devastating and free-flowing football, with right-back and captain Coke leading the charge, netting twice. The full-back was one of the casualties of the club's summer dealings, leaving for Schalke.
Unfortunately Ganso is one of the new Sevilla stars we won't see in action today, but there are plenty of others. Luciano Vietto looks to be the gem, having arrived on loan from Atletico Madrid with a €20m purchase option. He leads the attack today alongside Vitolo - a key component of the Sevilla side which has won three successive Europa League titles - and Franco Vazquez, a €13m acquisition from Palermo. Hiroshi Kiyotake is the only other new arrival to start today, but Matias Kranevitter, Pablo Sarabia and Wissam Ben Yedder all take places on the bench.
The referee brings the first half to a close in Trondheim, with the score level at 1-1. Asensio gave Real Madrid the lead with a glorious long-range effort, as Zidane's men looked the more threatening. However, Sevilla grew into the match and equalised just before the break thanks to debutant Franco Vazquez. The Champions League winners have created the more chances and look the more imperious going forward, but their opponents have gradually improved. There's plenty more to come in this.
What drama. Sevilla looked destined to seal the win and clinch the trophy, but one of their own - Sergio Ramos - popped up right at the end to force at least another 30 minutes. A real blow for Sampaoli's men, who performed well in the second half and looked good value for the win. How will they react to that disappointment?
Not much time for complaining from Ramos, as we are set for a quick changearound ahead of the second half of extra-time.
Late drama pays dividends once again for Real Madrid in Europe. This time they didn't leave it to penalties, instead snatching it about as close to the shootout as they could possibly get. In the end Kolo's red card early on in extra-time counted heavily in favour of Real, who clinch yet another European trophy, while it is three UEFA Super Cup defeats in a row for Sevilla.
