Alioski is shown the first yellow of the night, which has been a long time coming.
90'
There will be three minutes added on at the end of this match.
88'
STAT: Spain have never lost a World Cup qualifying match at home in 51 attempts (W43, D8).
87'
José Callejón enters the game and replaces Vitolo.
N. Gjorgjev enters the game and replaces F. Hasani.
Macedonia make their final change as Nikola Gjorgjev replaces Hasani.
Jose Callejon comes on for Vitolo as Spain use their final change as well.
85'
Aduriz has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by David Silva.
Silva has been involved in the build-up to three of Spain's goals now, and he finally has an assist to show for it.
IT'S GETTING OUT OF HAND NOW! Macedonia switch off and it allows Spain right back into the final third. The visitors are completely caught out as Aduriz is played through by Silva, and the substitute finishes confidently.
84'
Nacho Monreal has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by Dani Carvajal.
THREE GOALS, THREE POINTS! That will seal it, and it's a first international goal for Monreal, who produces an exquisite first-time finish on the end of Carvajal's cross, just guiding the ball into the far corner on the volley!
Carvajal gets his assist, not credited with the first one because it was an own goal.
82'
B. Ibraimi enters the game and replaces I. Nestorovski.
Besart Ibraimi replaces Nestorovski with the second change of the night for Macedonia.
80'
Spain are playing with fire a bit. Their urgency and intensity has completely gone, and it's given Macedonia a glimmer of hope here. A goal for the visitors would set up a really entertaining finish here, but they need to find it soon if they are to have a legitimate chance.
78'
Again the referee refrains from going to his pocket! Pandev kicks out at the back of Busquets, with little chance of winning the ball. It's dangerous, cynical and inexcusable, really, but the striker escapes without a yellow! There's been at least five or six bookable fouls in this match, but the referee has yet to produce a single card.
Minute
Description
76'
Macedonia break in numbers, issuing a warning to Spain who are growing dangerously complacent. Alioski is picked out atop the area, but Thiago puts in an excellent challenge to poke the ball away, before winning his side a free-kick. That's an important piece of defending from the midfielder.
74'
It's all fizzling out a bit as we approach the final 15 minutes. Velkoski takes a ball into the stomach following an attempted cross from Silva, as play comes to a halt again with the defender needing a minute to collect himself.
72'
Isco enters the game and replaces Koke.
Spain's second change of the night sees Isco replace Koke.
71'
STAT: Spain are unbeaten in eight all-time matches in Granada (W7, D1). They have won all three of their competitive matches there, outscoring their opponents 15-1.
69'
OUTSTANDING EFFORT! Bardhi hammers a strike at goal from 25 yards and gets some great power and movement behind it, but De Gea flies through the air to keep it out! This comes just seconds after Pandev squandered another chance following a lovely set-up by Nestorovski.
67'
There's some really tough challenges being put in, only getting worse now as a result of the referee's reluctance to produce a card. He continues to turn a blind eye as these tackles come flying in, and it's creating a bit of a dangerous precedent.
65'
That might be enough to see the three points through for Spain, but it really hasn't been all that convincing from them tonight. Two very scrappy goals might have them out of reach, but Macedonia will feel hard done by given how well they have battled thus far.
63'
Vitolo has scored a goal for Spain!
SPAIN DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Great play from Thiago on the left, before picking out Busquets, who plays a delightful ball through for Silva. The City attacker sends a delivery across the face of goal, but gets a bit lucky as a deflection takes it to Vitolo, who heads home at the far post.
62'
STAT: Macedonia have lost 12 of their last 14 qualifying matches (World and Euro Cup) away from home (D2).
60'
Aduriz enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
L. Žuta enters the game and replaces S. Spirovski.
This is a bit of a negative switch from Lopetegui, who takes one striker off for another as Artiz Aduriz replaces Morata. They really should be playing with two up top. It's been a tough ask for Morata to act as the lone target man tonight.
Macedonia make their first change as well, and it's Leonard Zhuta who enters the fray at the expense of Spirovski.
59'
Monreal clatters into the back of Spirovski, who goes down in obvious pain, yet somehow play carries on. It was a clear foul that went undetected by the referee. Eventually the ball is put into touch, and Spirovski can receive treatment.
57'
The visitors win a free-kick on the right, and have proved a consistent threat tonight from set-pieces. This time is no different, as Nestorovski gets on the end of the cross, but his header sails wide of the near post. Spain have not looked at all convincing in defending these dead-ball situations.
55'
Macedonia are growing in confidence the longer they keep Spain on the fringes. It's a tough ask, but at one point or another they will have to try and commit a few more bodies forward when the opportunity presents itself. There's a long way to go still, however.
53'
STAT: Spain have scored 11 goals through three qualifying matches this campaign. They have scored 10 of them in the second half of play.
51'
WIDE FROM SILVA! Spain looking brighter when they get forward early in this second half. Vitolo turns provider again, threading a ball into the centre for Silva, who sends a glancing first-time effort towards the far post, but it drifts just wide!
49'
What was he thinking?! Bartra clears the ball without looking where he's sending it, and presents it straight to Alioski! The centre-half is let off the hook, however, as Alioski's first-time strike from range can't find the target with De Gea stranded.
47'
ALMOST A DREAM START! Spain get forward in an instant as Vitolo is played through on the right and sends the ball though the legs of a defender and into the path of Morata in the centre. The striker turns and sends a tame effort towards the far corner, but Aleksovski dives across to parry! The resulting corner comes to nothing.
46'
Back underway in Granada...
45' +2
HALF-TIME: SPAIN 1-0 MACEDONIA.
45'
There will be two minutes added on at the end of this first half.
44'
Pandev needs to do a better job holding the ball up. He's getting his touches around the halfway line, with his team-mates able to pick him out, but he's conceding possession far too quick. Support has been lacking, but he needs to be holding it up longer, especially given his experience. His inability to do so has seen the Macedonia defence receive little respite over the last 10 minutes.
42'
OFFSIDE! Silva's creativity in this first half has been sporadic at best, but he produces a delightful pass through the legs of a defender to spring Monreal into the area. The flag goes up straight away, but the replay shows it was only offside by the finest of margins, if at all. Tough call there for the Arsenal left-back.
40'
STAT: Spain’s 8-0 win over Liechtenstein in their last home match was their largest margin of victory in a World Cup qualifier since a 9-0 win over Portugal in 1934 (coincidentally their first-ever World Cup qualifier).
38'
Penalty appeals denied by the referee, who gave a long, hard look there as Hasani and Thiago collided inside the area. The Bayern man went to ground in a heap, but eventually the referee decides against it as Spain settle for yet another free-kick, which once again comes to nothing.
36'
Well you have to wonder if it's a case of the floodgates opening now. Sometimes all it takes is that one goal to just open things up a bit. Spain are energised now, with Macedonia demoralised for conceding in that fashion, and you know the hosts are going to push hard for a second before the interval that might just be enough to put the game out of reach.
34'
D. Velkovski is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
MACEDONIA HEARTS BROKEN! As is their resistance, after 34 minutes and it's really, really harsh on them. Carvajal's cross in from the right doesn't look to be dangerous, but two defenders - Ristovski and Velkoski - get their signals crossed and collide in the area. Velkoski, who missed the early chance at the other end, sends a looping header into the back of his own net!
33'
Thiago wins a free-kick on the edge of the area as he goes over the leg of Ristevski, who was just standing his ground. A heavy touch from the Spain midfielder saw the ball run ahead, and he was really looking for contact the whole way there. Nonetheless, it comes to nothing as Silva's effort sails miles over the bar.
31'
STAT: Macedonia are winless in their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches away from home, dating back to a 2-1 victory over Armenia in June 2005 (D2, L11).
29'
The corner count is rising rapidly as Macedonia start to throw everything behind to temporarily relieve the pressure in dangerous situations. They seem to be content with doing so as they hold a distinct height advantage that has been glaringly obvious through the opening half-hour. This is where Spain really miss the likes of Ramos and Pique.
27'
HAD TO DO BETTER! Morata is played through again behind the defence, though he runs a bit wide to make for a less than ideal angle. Still, he has a clean sight at goal and the option still to hammer a strike towards the far post if he wants to, but really scuffs his contact in the end as Aleksovski makes a rather routine save.
25'
Pressure is slowly starting to build here as Spain hem Macedonia back in defence. When the visitors do win the ball back, they looked bright initially on the break, but now Spain have upped the intensity and are doing an excellent job of pressuring the ball carrier to force a turnover. They're starting to park themselves in attack.
23'
MACEDONIA KEEP IT OUT! First real moment of worry for the visitors in defence, and Spain will feel like they should have scored. Aleksovski produces a fine save initially to deny Morata, who was through on goal, before Silva's rebound is deflected behind for a corner! Finally a bit of urgency from La Roja.
21'
STAT: Spain are unbeaten in their last 56 World Cup qualifying matches, the longest active string among UEFA nations (W43, D13).
19'
ANOTHER CHANCE! De Gea livid with his defenders and you can't blame him! Again they're caught ball-watching from a corner, allowing Pandev to rise and meet it in the centre, but he sends his header agonisingly wide of the far post! He really should be scoring there, and Macedonia could actually be 2-0 up right now!
17'
Not enough width from Spain going forward. They need Monreal and Carvajal to be more decisive on the flanks to help stretch Macedonia out a bit in defence. It's all been rather pedestrian from Spain though, thus far. It looks as though they think they can just show up tonight and win all three points.
15'
Plenty of poking and prodding from Spain, but no real way through yet. There's so many white shirts packed into defence that it's all a bit congested. Their passing has been crisp and tidy, but they're simply just outnumbered when they get into the final third.
13'
Spain continue to enjoy the lion's share of possession, but Macedonia will take solace in how they have defended thus far. They're looking very sharp at the back and are actually the owners of the best chance of the match thus far.
11'
VITAL BLOCK! That's more like it from Spain, carving Macedonia apart with their build-up play. In the end it's Vitolo who pulls it back admirably to pick out Monreal in the area, but the defender's first-time effort is ushered aside smartly by Ristovski!
9'
STAT: Spain have won each of their four competitive matches all-time against Macedonia, scoring 11 goals and conceding only one.
7'
Lengthy stoppage here as Macedonia keeper Aleksovski is attended to following an innocuous coming together in the penalty area. It's his fist senior cap, so you know he would hate to have to depart early. He pops to his feet and looks to be alright to continue.
5'
STUNNING SAVE! Well what a start that would have been for the visitors! A tidy break from Macedonia sees them win a corner. The cross in is flicked on soundly towards the far post and De Gea has to react brilliantly to get his hands up to deny Velkoski's header from point-blank range!
3'
Spain immediately on the front foot, as was expected of them. Silva bends a teasing cross in from the left for Morata at the far post, but Ristovski does well to read it and head behind. The subsequent delivery is dealt with soundly by the Macedonia defence.
1'
AND WE'RE OFF! Macedonia in all white as they get us underway, attacking left to right, with Spain in their red tops and blue shorts.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes in Granada as Spain aim to keep the pace atop Group G when they play host to Macedonia.
Julen Lopetegui’s side navigated their way through a pair of tricky qualifiers in October, earning an important draw away to Italy and following it up by beating Albania in Shkoder.
The pair of results helped them extend their lengthy unbeaten run in World Cup qualifiers, and has them sitting atop the group (tied with points but ahead on goal differential) with Italy after three matches – a spot they can secure heading into 2017 with three more points tonight.
For Macedonia, their World Cup hopes may already be over. They have looked very good at times through the first three matches, but come into this daunting fixture in Spain having yet to pick up a point.
An 89th minute goal saw them fall 2-1 in their opener in Albania, which was followed up with narrow 2-1 and 3-2 defeats to Israel and Italy, undone by a 92nd minute Ciro Immobile goal against the Azzurri. Unfortunately for them, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, as the old saying goes.
Lopetegui makes four changes from the victory over Albania, with his hand being forced as a result of an extensive list of injuries. Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta and Diego Costa are all unavailable for La Roja and are replaced in the team by Daniel Carvajal, Nacho, Marc Bartra and Alvaro Morata, as Spain switch from a 3-4-3 to a more standard 4-3-3.
Igor Angelovski makes three changes to his side from the 3-2 home defeat to Italy, including a swap in goal as 21-year-old Igor Aleksovski earns his first senior cap, replacing Martin Bogatinov. Two other 21-year-olds come into the team tonight, as youth trumps experience, with Darko Velkoski (fourth cap) and Enis Bardhi (sixth cap) pushing Vanche Shikov (52 caps) and Leonard Zhuta (14 caps) to the bench.
Velkoski's own goal has Spain ahead at the interval, but the defender was denied a great chance at the other end, with Pandev also coming close, in what has been a much tighter game than was perhaps anticipated. It is far from decided as we head into the interval in Granada.
Three second-half goals from Vitolo, Nacho Monreal and Aritz Aduriz help Spain extend their unbeaten run in World Cup qualifying to 57 matches, as they keep their place atop Group G.
