Body language tells you everything you need to know, but you don't have to look further than the faces of these players and managers to see just what direction these clubs are trending. Wenger and his players are perplexed, frustrated, defeated, while Palace are in dreamland. They're not home free just yet, but it looks like they will be playing top-flight football again next season.
90'
The fourth official raises his board to indicate an additional four minutes of added time. Three goals in four minutes? Maybe for Palace...
88'
D. Delaney enters the game and replaces W. Zaha.
Damien Delaney replaces Zaha with Palace's final change of the night.
86'
MONREAL SAVES A FOURTH! Townsend sends a clever dink over to Benteke at the far post and the striker takes it first-time, driving a low cross back across the face of goal for McArthur, who would have had the easiest of tap-ins had Monreal not been there to knock it behind.
84'
STAT: Since beating Arsenal 2-1 in October 1994, Palace had netted just six times in 12 league games against the Gunners.
82'
M. Flamini enters the game and replaces L. Milivojević.
A second change here for Palace as the clock winds down. Milivojevic goes off to a stirring ovation as he's replaced by Mathieu Flamini.
80'
Arsenal have been dominating the last 10 minutes or so, but they can't find a way through. There's no desire or drive as they look a defeated team, mentally and physically. This is not the night they had planned, as they are poised to remain seven points back of the top four with eight games remaining.
78'
The noise in this stadium is never ending. The party will go long into the night here at Selhurst Park, as Crystal Palace are on the verge of their first-ever victory over Arsene Wenger. It's back to the drawing board for Arsenal, though at this point the season looks like it may be unsalvageable.
76'
You have to wonder if night's like this can change Wenger's decision regarding his future, or if his mind is already made up. To play devil's advocate, yes it has been a nightmare season for the Gunners, but Wenger surely is entitled to a bad campaign like this given all he's done for the club, is he not?

74'
J. McArthur enters the game and replaces Y. Cabaye.
Palace make their first change as James McArthur makes his return from injury, replacing Cabaye.
73'
STAT: Sam Allardyce has lost 15 times to Arsene Wenger in the Premier League, the most defeats he has against any manager in the competition (W4 D7).
71'
Arsenal are completely out of answers, not just tonight, but overall as this season winds down. If you could see the look on the faces of these players, Sanchez and Ozil especially, as their future is in limbo. Echoes of "you don't deserve to wear this shirt" ring out amongst the contingent of Arsenal supporters.
69'
A. Oxlade-Chamberlain enters the game and replaces T. Walcott.
A final change for Arsenal, though you have to imagine it's too late at this point, as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replaces Walcott.
68'
Penalty goal scored by L. Milivojević for Crystal Palace!
IT CAN GET WORSE FOR ARSENAL! Another massive dent to their ego and top-four hopes! Wenger looks to the ground in disgust as Milivojevic slots his penalty confidently into the bottom corner. Palace are running riot!
67'
PENALTY TO ARSENAL! A rush of blood to the head as Martinez sprints off his line in the most needless fashion and trips up Townsend! Bellerin was on the scene as well, and the ball was running away from goal! That's unbelievably careless an unnecessary from the third-choice Arsenal keeper.
65'
Victory tonight would see Palace move six-points clear of the bottom three, with a game in hand, and you can see just what it means to these fans. They're bouncing up and down all over the stadium, singing their hearts out. Arsenal's confidence is shaken and Palace smell blood!
63'
Y. Cabaye has scored a goal for Crystal Palace! Assist by W. Zaha.
Zaha has been a terror tonight and he's on the scoresheet again with his second assist.
THE 2017/18 PREMIER LEAGUE SEASON BECKONS FOR PALACE! It's a long way back for Arsenal now thanks to an absolutely stunning strike from Cabaye! The midfielder is on the end of Zaha's pull-back and he knows exactly where to place the ball, lifting a first-time effort splendidly over Martinez and just under the bar!
62'
STAT: Olivier Giroud has found the net in each of his previous three Premier League games at Selhurst Park.
60'
O. Giroud enters the game and replaces D. Welbeck.
The second swap sees Olivier Giroud enter the fray in a straight swap for Welbeck.
59'
A. Ramsey enters the game and replaces Mohamed Elneny.
A double change here for Arsenal as Wenger is proactive in hopefully turning this match around. The first sees Elneny give way for Aaron Ramsey.
58'
Decent pressure from Arsenal as they sustain a prolonged spell in attack, but it's all a bit too predictable from them as Palace easily deal with the threat. For those familiar with Liverpool's victory at Stoke on the weekend, that match took on a similar shape before the Reds scored twice in quick succession to turn it around and claim the points - something for Gunners fans to hold their hats on perhaps here.
56'
You really get the sense that Arsene Wenger is going to stay on next season and possibly beyond. If he wasn't, it probably would have been announced already. The Gunners are waiting for the right moment to announce it, more than likely, and haven't done so yet because of the likely uproar that would follow given their recent form. Tonight isn't helping their cause.
54'
Dreadful defensive work from the visitors as the Palace onslaught continues. A decent chance results in a corner, and then some horrific marking leads to a free header for Puncheon, but Martinez is able to bail Arsenal out. A second goal is imminent if Arsenal can't right the ship here.
52'
STAT: Arsene Wenger has never lost a Premier League game against Crystal Palace (W8 D3 L0). The only teams he’s faced more in the Premier League without losing are Leicester (18) and Portsmouth (14).
50'
PALACE HAVE THEIR SECOND! Benteke pounces on a rebound to double the hosts' lead, but the offside flag is raised! Towsend's effort initially made it through the crowd of bodies somehow, and Martinez did well to parry, and Benteke was rightfully ruled offside. Palace knocking on the door though.
48'
Palace off to a flying start in this second half and Arsenal look shaken. Benteke's eyes light up as he has close to a free strike at goal after a terrific turn in the area, but can't hit the target. The hosts are starting this second half exactly how they finished the first.
46'
Palace get the second half underway!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-1 ARSENAL.
45'
There will be one minute added on at the end of this first half, as Arsenal win a corner shortly after the board goes up. Xhaka picks out Gabriel with his delivery, but the defender's header is saved by Hennessey.
44'
Successive corners for Palace, but nothing comes of it. The second leads to an Arsenal throw, deep in their end, and they can't get the ball out from the back. Palace attack again quickly and a cross comes in for Townsend, but the winger is called for a foul and finally the visitors can relieve the pressure. They get up the pitch in a flash, but Welbeck sends an effort wide from an wakward angle.
42'
Arsenal defenders standing and watching as Palace march their way up the pitch. It looked a few times like the visitors had a chance to break up the move, but it doesn't happen, and it leads to a real chance for Benteke, but he's thwarted at the near post by Martinez! Good positioning and reactions from the Arsenal keeper.
40'
STAT: Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez had kept a clean sheet in three of his four previous Premier League games started for Arsenal.
38'
Everything good happening for Arsenal at the moment has Sanchez at the heart of it. If Palace can smother him and close him down, no one else, at least as of yet, has shown an ability or desire to step up and take charge.
36'
What was Bellerin doing?! A dreadful attempt at a backpass threatens to play Benteke through. The striker pounces, but he lacks the pace to get through on goal as the threat is averted, much to the relief of the right-back.
34'
CRUCIAL BLOCK! Ozil wriggles his way into the area from the left and threads in a low cross. Sakho partially cuts it out, but Sanchez is there to pounce, only to see his first-time effort blocked again by Sakho! Great bit of defensive play there, and at a vital moment from the Palace centre-half.
32'
Arsenal have noticeably upped their urgency in the last few minutes, which has seen the tension rise at Selhurst Park. These loyal Palace supporters, some of the best in the top-flight, remain in full voice as they continue to create a hostile atmosphere for the Gunners.
30'
Nervy moments in the Gunners defence as Cabaye sends a free-kick into the danger area, which leads to a half-chance for Kelly. The pace of this match is still very high and it remains wonderfully open, which had resulted in some excellent viewing from a neutral's perspective.
28'
Arsenal have played much better since conceding, which will have to please Wenger. This is a side whose confidence has been shaken in recent weeks, so they easily could have folded in their attempts to weather Palace's storm.
26'
STAT: Arsenal haven’t lost away to the Eagles in the top-flight since November 1979 (W6 D5).
24'
NOT FAR AWAY! Hennessey beaten for the first time here, but he will be relieved to see that Sanchez strike flash just wide of the far post. It was cleverly orchestrated by the Chilean to carve out space for a shot and open up the angle, but he just fails to bend it in at the far post.
22'
S. Mustafi gets yellow.
Mustafi has been walking a fine line since his early foul on Benteke. His next one was always going to prompt a booking, and it does here in the 22nd minute. He has to be careful the rest of the way.
21'
Decent response here by Arsenal as Sanchez and Monreal make noise in and around the penalty area. The full-back picks out the Chilean, who does well to set himself up for a shot with his first touch, but can't send his effort far enough away from Hennessey, who makes a relatively simple save.
19'
There's a great tempo to this match, which remains entertainingly open as both sides show plenty of attacking intent. If the first 20 odd minutes are any indication, there should be plenty more goals to be had in this contest.
17'
A. Townsend has scored a goal for Crystal Palace! Assist by W. Zaha.
PALACE STRIKE FIRST! Great combination play between Cabaye and Townsend, with the former playing Zaha through on the right. The winger slips as he sends in his cross, but gets enough on it to return it to Townsend who powers home from in close!
Zaha lost his footing but still managed to get the cross in as he assists the goal.
15'
Great centre-forward play from Welback, who shows his underrated physicallity as he battles away to put Kelly under pressure. The centre-half does well to recover, and smartly forces the ball behind for a corner, as not to take any chances.
13'
A poor ball out from the back by Martinez leads to a period of unnecessary pressure on the Arsenal defence, but the visitors do well to organise themselves quickly and see away the threat, with Sanchez doing especially well to track back and intervene.
11'
STAT: Sam Allardyce’s last league win over Arsene Wenger in the Premier League was in May 2010 with Blackburn Rovers – he’s lost nine of the last 10 meetings since (D1).
9'
LOVELY HIT! Much, much better from Arsenal as they mount their first threatening attack of the night. Monreal picks out Elneny smartly from the right and the midfielder places a first-time effort in towards the far post, but Hennessey is able to parry at full-stretch.
7'
Nasty challenge! Mustafi gets the timing all wrong and scissors Benteke to the ground just outside the box. Michael Oliver does well to play advantage and it ends with a shooting chance for Milivojevic, but his effort bends wide of the near post. Oliver has a talking to with Mustafi after, who is incredibly lucky to escape without a booking.
5'
The pace of these Palace attackers is already causing one or two problems for the Arsenal backline. Townsend and Zaha are flying down the flanks at every opportunity, with Palace quick to play balls over the top for them to chase.
3'
Arsenal, a team whose confidence is in a fragile state, need a quick start to settle the nerves, but they don't get one. Palace have a spring in their step from the off, while the Gunners appear very tentative in possession. Cabaye gets the first shooting chance, but lifts an effort miles over as he gets the contact all wrong.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! The Eagle soars across Selhurst to signal kick-off, and soon after Arsenal get the game started. The visitors are in their yellow away strip as the get us underway, attacking right to left, with Palace in red and blue.
Hello and welcome to Selhurst Park for Monday night football as Crystal Palace aim to distance themselves from the relegation zone when they host an Arsenal side trying to claw their way back into the top four.
Arsenal enter tonight’s match seven points back of fourth place Manchester City, albeit with two games in hand. Their recent slide has created plenty of cause for concern in north London, as the club’s streak of 20 successive seasons finishing in the top four looks in real jeopardy.
And while Arsenal’s top-four streak is in peril, that’s not what’s grabbing the headlines. Everyone is fixated on what the future holds for Arsene Wenger, with many of even the club’s most loyal supporters turning on English football’s longest-serving manager.
The opposite holds true for Crystal Palace, who have finally found the winning formula under Sam Allardyce. The club earned four victories in a row between February 25 and April 1, the same amount they managed in their 21 league games previous.
Palace’s winning run has brightened their outlook on next season, as they have pulled three-points clear of the relegation zone, having played two fewer games than both Hull City and Swansea below them, putting added emphasis on tonight’s London derby.
Scott Dann, Patrick van Aanholt, James Tomkins and many of Palace's other regulars remain out, as Sam Allardyce names an unchanged side from the defeat at Southampton last weekend. Joe Ledley, who was supposed to return following the birth of his child, is not in the team, but James McArthur returns from a knock and is included amongst the substitutes.
Arsene Wenger also names an unchanged side, this from the win over West Ham last weekend. Emiliano Martinez keeps his place in goal as Petr Cech (calf) and David Ospina (back) miss out, while Laurent Koscielny remains sidelined at least one more week with a back issue.
Andros Townsend has Palace ahead at the end of a consistently entertaining first half at Selhurst Park, with chances bountiful for both sides. Arsenal held the advantage in possession, but it's the Eagles who looked more threatening going forward, and they have a lead to show for it.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
Arsenal's top-four hopes are left in tatters as goals from Andros Townsend, Yohan Cabaye and Luka Milivojevic leave them battered and bruised at Selhurst Park on a historic night for Crystal Palace as they beat Arsene Wenger for the first time to pull six-points clear of the relegation zone.
