A. Robben has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by T. Müller.
Muller provides the assist.
ROBBEN WINS IT FOR BAYERN AT THE DEATH! UNBELIEVABLE! That's the sort of killer instinct that makes them champions! Robben takes a simple pass from Muller and then takes matters into his own hands, driving beyond two defenders before producing an exceptional finish, chipping Gulacsi at the near post to complete the turnaround!
90' +3
Is there to be another twist in the tale here? Leipzig have the point they need still to secure second place, for now at least, but at the rate this is going, who knows if it's safe. Bayern are pressing again, this time through Robben who sends a delicious delivery across the face of goal, but no one is there to meet it!
90' +1
D. Alaba has scored a goal for Bayern Munich!
BAYERN COMPLETE THE COMEBACK! Lewandowski wins a free-kick just under 25 yards from goal and he wants to take it himself, but Alaba shoves him aside, claiming it for himself, and you can see why! The Austrian bends a sensational strike into the top corner, with Gulacsi only able to stand and stare as it sails right by him at blistering pace!
90'
There will be five minutes added on at the end of this match. Do Bayern have an equaliser in them?
88'
Nothing comes of the free-kick for Bayern as Gulacsi punches clear a cross that was delivered in too close to goal. Back the other way come Leipzig, and Lewandowski is penalised for a foul on Keita right at the halfway line. Good opportunity here for Leipzig to take the sting out of the match.
86'
You wouldn't bet against there being another goal in this match. Leipzig have led for all but 63 seconds in this game, but Bayern are very much taking the game to them now as they look to complete the comeback - and they have a free-kick in a threatening area now following a foul from Schmitz.
84'
R. Lewandowski has scored a goal for Bayern Munich!
BAYERN BACK WITHIN ONE! Don't go anywhere, we're in for a grandstand finish at the Red Bull Arena! Robben drives an effort at goal that smacks off the underside of the bar, with the aid of a deflection, before bouncing out kindly to Lewandowski who heads home his 30th league goal of the season into the empty net!
82'
STAT: Before today, Tom Starke had won 16 points in six Bundesliga appearances for Bayern (W5, D1), saving 88% of shots on his goal, including both penalties faced.
80'
R. Khedira enters the game and replaces T. Werner.
The final change of the match for Leipzig is met by an enthusiastic applause from the home support, as they show their appreciation for Werner, who is replaced by Rani Khedira.
Minute
Description
77'
J. Boateng gets yellow.
Boateng goes into the book now for a cynical challenge to halt a Leipzig break.
76'
D. Selke enters the game and replaces Y. Poulsen.
The hosts' second change of the match sees Davie Selke replace Poulsen.
74'
Alaba tests Gulacsi's resolve from a free-kick 20 yards out, and while the effort from the Austrian was on target, it was hit too central as the keeper is able to parry over the bar.
72'
Thiago Alcântara gets yellow.
Thiago becomes the fourth Bayern player booked in the match, as he disobeys the referee's orders by taking a free-kick too quickly for the second time in as many minutes.
71'
STAT: RB Leipzig’s current tally of 66 points is just three short of setting a new Bundesliga record for a promoted club. Kaiserslautern had 68 at the end of 1997/98. The record for a debutant is Bayern’s 67 in 1965/66 (assuming three points for a win).
69'
B. Schmitz enters the game and replaces M. Sabitzer.
Leipzig go to the bench for the first time today as Benno Schmitz is brought on, with Sabitzer replaced.
67'
T. Müller enters the game and replaces J. Kimmich.
Bayern make their final change of the match, as Thomas Muller comes on to provide support for Lewandowski, replacing Kimmich.
OFF THE POST! Terrific interplay from the visitors in attack, as the tempo continues to be played at a very high pace. Lewandowski gets on the end of the move at the near post, but his first-time effort is off the woodwork!
65'
T. Werner has scored a goal for RB Leipzig!
LEIPZIG HIT BACK STRAIGHT AWAY! What a response from the hosts! Lahm's loose touch in defence is pounced upon by Werner, who pokes the ball beyond Boateng and then finishes expertly through the legs of Starke from a tight angle for his 21st league goal of the season!
64'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
Douglas Costa gets yellow.
Douglas Costa is booked for dissent as well, for how he reacted to the Vidal challenge.
Vidal picks up a booking within minutes of coming on, which is precisely the reason Alonso was subbed off, as he was on a yellow.
61'
A. Vidal enters the game and replaces Xabi Alonso.
That's Alonso's last involvement of the match, as he's replaced here by Arturo Vidal.
60'
Thiago Alcântara has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by Xabi Alonso.
Alonso has had a rough game thus far, but he gets in on the act at the right end this time, providing the assist.
BAYERN PULL ONE BACK! Game on yet again in Leipzig! Thiago, who has had an impressive season of his own, gets on the end of a short corner after some decent ball movement, and slots home a very smart finish at the near post!
59'
Of course next season will be much trickier for Leipzig, with an increased fixture list as a result of their participation in the Champions League. It will be very interesting to see how they cope with all three competitions they are set to participate in, but they have the financial backing to increase their squad depth.
57'
Bayern have been far from good since the restart, with Leipzig continuing to take the game to the champions. This has been a statement of intent from the hosts, proving their strong campaign has been no fluke - it's the perfect way for them to sign off in their final home game of the season.
55'
RB Leipzig need just a point to secure themselves second place in the Bundesliga this season, their debut campaign in the top-flight. They're in pole position to get the result they need, now going 496 minutes and counting without conceding from open play on their home patch.
53'
STAT: Bayern’s 36 points on the road is by far the best in the league. RB Leipzig are eight points behind – no other team has more than 20 points away from home.
51'
SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN! Lewandowski is picked out in the area, before turning smartly to tee up the shot, but he drags his effort just wide with the goal at his mercy! Good work from Gulacsi to apply pressure and close down the angle, but you really do fancy Lewandowski to be scoring from there.
49'
This is Bayern's first ever visit to the Red Bull Arena across all competitions, and it's not going at all to plan. Forsberg has put in a performance for the ages today, having his way with the Bayern defence every time he gets the ball at his feet.
47'
Y. Poulsen has scored a goal for RB Leipzig! Assist by E. Forsberg.
It's an 18th league assist of the season for Forsberg, who has had a hand in all three goals tonight for the hosts, assisting twice and winning the penalty leading to the other!
ANOTHER EARLY GOAL FOR LEIPZIG! For the second time tonight the hosts find the back of the net inside two minutes of a half! Forsberg makes a delightful run and lays off for Poulsen, who drives a first-time effort into the bottom corner, aided by a generous deflection off Alonso, with Starke rooted to his spot!
46'
Back underway at the Red Bull Arena!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: RB LEIPZIG 2-1 BAYERN MUNICH.
45'
There will be just two minutes added on at the end of this first half.
44'
Douglas Costa enters the game and replaces F. Ribéry.
Bayern are forced into making their first change of the day here, as Douglas Costa comes on in place of the injured Ribery.
43'
Play resumes with the hosts making the mosts of their advantage in personnel, with Ribery still off getting treatment. In fact, the Frenchman is being helped into the locker room by two members of the training staff - certainly not what you want to see.
41'
Ribery remains down here and is struggling mightily to collect his breath. At the risk of speculating, he may have suffered some damage to a rib or something in that area, but the consequence of the coming together is certainly far worse than how it looked.
39'
Play comes to a halt with Ribery down and in need of attention. The Frenchman took a stray arm from Ilsanker in the gut and is likely just winded, needing a minute or two to collect himself. There was no intent in that from the RB Leipzig full-back.
37'
Bayern have slowed the tempo a bit as we approach the interval, working it around patiently in midfield, with the visitors slowing their press. This Leipzig side are so well coached. They have an incredible awareness of when the right times are to press and when they need to sit back and let things develop on their own.
35'
This has been an absolutely breathtaking half of football, not at all lacking in entertainment. It's been wonderfully open and wildly fast-paced as these two sides aren't holding back in attack. Leipzig have been incredible in transition, especially, a big part of the reason they're poised to finish their first-ever Bundesliga campaign in second place.
33'
Scuffed wide by Lewandowski! Clever bit of build-up play from Bayern, who are back in the ascendency after falling behind. Robben and Thiago link up, before the latter tees up Lewandowski for a shot, but he fluffs his lines, failing to make the desired contact.
31'
STAT: Timo Werner is the highest-scoring German player this campaign with 20 goals. The last German to have scored at least 20 goals in a season at the age of 21 was Dieter Müller in 1974/75 (24).
29'
Penalty goal scored by T. Werner for RB Leipzig!
BACK IN FRONT! Werner makes it look easy as he sends Starke the wrong way and calmly slots home from 12 yards.
28'
Xabi Alonso gets yellow.
PENALTY TO LEIPZIG! Outstanding skill on the ball from Forsberg as he takes on three Bayern defenders, looking to incisively carve his way into the box, before being tripped up at the vital moment by Alonso! No hesitation from the referee there in pointing to the spot.
27'
NOT FAR AWAY! Forsberg is out with a point to prove tonight after playing just 30 minutes in the reverse fixture at the Allianz Arena before being sent off. The Swede has such a great awareness of where he is on the pitch at all times. Here he finds space atop the area and curls an effort that narrowly lifts over the bar!
25'
GOOD EFFORT! Bernardo is swarmed by black shirts following a corner, but makes the most out of what shouldn't have even been a chance, as his overhead kick forces Starke into a save at full-stretch. Great skill from the full-back as he tries to atone for conceding the earlier penalty.
23'
STARKE SAVES! Leipzig have done a splendid job of finding the gaps in this Bayern defence, moving well off the ball and picking out those runs admirably. Keita does well here to play in Sabitzer, but the Austrian is denied his second of the half by Starke from eight-yards out!
21'
Not too far away! It's a bit of an audacious attempt from Robben, but if anyone's earned the right to take those shots, it's him. The Dutchman lifts and bends an ambitious strike towards the far post with that deadly left foot of his, and doesn't miss by a whole lot considering the difficulty of the chance.
19'
STAT: That equaliser was Robert Lewandowski's 150th Bundesliga goal, reaching the mark in just 226 appearances in the competition.
17'
Penalty goal scored by R. Lewandowski for Bayern Munich!
CALM AS YOU'D LIKE! Parity restored at the Red Bull Arena as Lewandowski coolly places home his penalty, sending Gulacsi the wrong way.
16'
PENALTY TO BAYERN! Lahm gets into space on the overlap and drives a cross in towards the run of Thiago, but it's blocked on the way through by the arm of Bernardo. The referee doesn't immediately give the penalty, but the linesman spots it and the spot-kick is given!
14'
Back come Bayern! End-to-end football here at the Red Bull Arena! Gulacsi is forced into making two very strong saves, covering his angles and spreading himself big to deny Thiago and Robben no more than 30 seconds apart. There are plenty of goals to be had today!
12'
OFF THE WOODWORK! Textbook play from Leipzig on the break, as they continue to be excellent in transition! Werner is sprung into space down the left and he cuts inside onto his right foot, before bending an exquisite effort beyond the reach of Starke, but it rattles off the inside of the far post and stays out!
10'
Good pressure being applied here from Bayern, who have bodies forward and a nice width about them as they look for a quick equaliser. Upamecano makes a pair of important clearances to see aside crosses from both Lahm and Lewandowski.
8'
Bayern have finally settled in here, appearing to have weathered the early storm, though they haven't come out of it unscathed. Leipzig have taken their foot off the gas ever so slightly as well, not pressing as high up and with as many players as they were in the opening minutes.
6'
STAT: Since detailed data collection began in 2004, only three players have provided more assists in a Bundesliga campaign than Emil Forsberg (16 – now 17 – the record is 20). The Swede was sent off for a foul on Philipp Lahm in the reverse fixture.
4'
Leipzig are running rampant in the early stages! Remarkable pressure being applied here by the hosts as they come close through both Poulsen and Sabitzer to a second goal inside of five minutes. Bayern are shell-shocked here!
2'
M. Sabitzer has scored a goal for RB Leipzig! Assist by E. Forsberg.
It's another assist for Forsberg on the season, this one from a splendid cross to pick out the run of Sabitzer.
DREAM START FOR THE HOSTS! Lightning-quick counter-attack from RB Leipzig as they break up the pitch with great pace. Boateng gets caught as Forsberg is sprung in behind him, and the Swede chips in a delightful cross for Sabitzer, who flies in and sends a scorching header into the top corner!
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! RB Leipzig in white and red as they get the match underway, attacking left to right, with Bayern in black.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from the Red Bull Arena as first and second in the Bundesliga lock horns when RB Leipzig host Bayern Munich!
While the title is out of their grasps, RB Leipzig have yet to secure second place. They are six points up on Dortmund with two games remaining, so any points gained today, or dropped by Dortmund, would guarantee them second with a game to spare.
The reverse fixture between these sides this season came on the final day before the winter break, and didn’t go so well for RB Leipzig, reduced to 10 men and trailing 3-0 at the half, so this will be a revenge spot for them to prove their worth at the top of the Bundesliga table.
RB Leipzig boss Ralph Hasenhuttl trots out the same XI which trounced Hertha Berlin 4-1 a week ago, making no changes to his side.
With the title wrapped up, Carlo Ancelotti continues to rotate his squad, making four changes from the victory over Darmstadt. No shortage of starpower for Bayern today as Philipp Lahm, Xabi Alonso, Arjen Robben and Thiago Alcantara are all restored in the starting XI, at the expense of Rafinha, Renato Sanches, Douglas Costa and Thomas Muller.
This will be a case of what might have been for RB Leipzig today, in the title hunt for so long this season, but just lacked the firepower to keep pace. In the end, they can still hold their heads high on what has been a terrific season, and they can end it on a strong note by beating the champions today.
Bayern locked up their fifth successive Bundesliga title a fortnight ago, and celebrated it last week in front of their home fans with a victory over Darmstadt. Last year’s point total is out of reach, so Bayern really do have nothing to play for over these next two weeks, aside from pride, of course.
RB Leipzig come out on top at the end of a thrilling first half at the Red Bull Arena. Marcel Sabitzer opened the scoring inside of two minutes, courtesy of another Emil Forsberg assist, before Robert Lewandowski and Timo Werner exchanged penalties. Chances were hardly in short supply over the duration of the opening 45 minutes, setting a high bar for the second half, which we have every reason to believe will live up to the hype.
RB Leipzig led for 82 of the first 84 minutes, but goals from Robert Lewandowski, David Alaba and Arjen Robben complete an improbable turnaround as Bayern come back from 4-2 down in the final 10 minutes to win 5-4 at the Red Bull Arena!
It's a harsh result on Leipzig, but they are made to pay for their inexperience, as Bayern show just why they are champions of Germany for a fifth successive season. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
