United are in cruise control now just knocking the ball around midway through the Palace half, and the visitors can’t get a touch of the ball.
90' +1
We’re into the first of three minutes of added time at the end of this game.
90'
Gomes gets a couple of touches just inside the Palace half as he links up with Mitchell on the left-hand side, but the ball eventually runs out of play for a Palace throw.
88'
A. Gomes enters the game and replaces W. Rooney.
A third and final change for United now and Rooney is the man to be replaced, going off to a standing ovation in what could be his final United appearance at Old Trafford, with 16-year-old Angel Gomes coming on in his place.
85'
Jones goes on a wonderful run towards the Palace penalty area, skipping past several Palace players on his way, but he chooses not to shoot and instead tries to pick out Rooney at the back post only for his pass to sail out of play for a goal kick.
83'
We have another break in play now as Ward is down receiving treatment with what looks to be a nasty blow to his nose, and now the United fans are finding their voice.
81'
United are in no rush to do anything now and Palace don’t look to be too bothered about it either, although their fans are still making plenty of noise in the away end.
79'
F. Campbell enters the game and replaces W. Zaha.
Palace are certainly looking a little more threatening now but they are forced to put the ball out of play as Zaha is down close to the left-hand side. Sam Allardyce won’t be too happy if he has to go off as he’s certainly been on the end of some tough tackles in this game.
Zaha is going to be forced off bringing an end to what has been a pretty impressive season for the winger. Fraizer Campbell comes on in his place.
77'
Save!! Milivojevic curls the free-kick over the wall and towards the corner but Pereira leaps across his goal to catch the ball, although the dive was perhaps a little more spectacular than it needed to be.
76'
Palace have just lifted the intensity of their play in the last few minutes and they win another free-kick, 25 yards out in a central area following a foul on Sako by Tuanzebe.
Minute
Description
74'
M. Carrick gets yellow.
Zaha is the victim of another foul, this time by Carrick who pulls him back midway through the United half and is subsequently shown a yellow card by referee Taylor.
73'
CLOSE!! Palace win a free-kick to the right-hand side of the penalty box following yet another foul on Zaha by Tuanzebe, and Sako’s whipped in delivery skims off the head of Carrick at the near post and flies narrowly over his own goal.
71'
Wonderful play from Mitchell as he skips past Zaha and Ward to get to the byline and into a position from where he can cross, although the delivery is a poor one and goes straight into the arms of Hennessey.
69'
Puncheon and Benteke exchange passes 30 yards out from goal and the former has space ahead of him to either shoot or roll the ball back to Benteke who’s peeled away into a good position, but he does neither and ends up giving the ball straight back to United.
67'
S. Kaikai enters the game and replaces P. van Aanholt.
Another change for Palace now as Sully Kaikai comes on for van Aanholt.
66'
Martial this time wins a free-kick just inside the Palace half after a good run and pass by Harrop, who’s looked extremely comfortable on the ball so far in this game.
64'
Martial picks up the ball in space on the left-hand side and drives into the corner of the Palace penalty area at pace, but he opts against going for goal himself and instead plays the ball behind Harrop, rather summing up his confidence levels at the moment.
63'
The tempo of this game has really dropped in the last few minutes with neither side seeming to have much desire to throw too many bodies forward.
61'
B. Sako enters the game and replaces J. McArthur.
Palace are making their first change now with McArthur going off to be replaced by Bakary Sako.
59'
United are in absolutely no rush to go forward now and Carrick has taken over from Pogba in controlling play from midfield, albeit from a deeper position.
57'
Sam Allardyce looks a rather bemused figure as he makes his way back up into the dugouts from his technical area, although his side do look as though they have a goal in them, particularly if they can get the ball into Zaha and Benteke.
55'
OFF THE POST!! United were all set to make a change as Bailly hobbled off but it looks as though he’s going to continue, but they switch off momentarily at the back as Zaha stands up a cross towards Benteke who climbs well and turns a powerful header onto the foot of the post from eight yards out.
53'
The Palace players eventually put the ball out of play following a loud chorus of boos from the home fans as Bailly goes down having landed heavily following a battle in the air with Benteke. The centre-back did go down just before the break but this does look more serious.
51'
The Palace winger is back on the field and is going to try and run the injury off as Puncheon draws another foul close to the left-hand touchline just inside the United half.
49'
Zaha is still down receiving treatment following that foul and it does look as though he may have landed awkwardly.
48'
S. McTominay gets yellow.
Zaha knocks the ball past Scott McTominay and looks to break away into the United half, but the young midfielder just clips his heels and is shown a yellow card for the foul.
46'
Kick-off! Referee Anthony Taylor blows his whistle and Palace get the second half underway.
45' +2
A. Martial enters the game and replaces J. Lingard.
This is quite extraordinary from Mourinho now as he makes a second change before the break with Anthony Martial coming on to replace Lingard.
45'
M. Carrick enters the game and replaces P. Pogba.
A first change for United now, and one that has come completely out of the blue too as Pogba is replaced by Michael Carrick. The Frenchman doesn’t look to be injured so that change is presumably with the Europa League final in Jose Mourinho’s mind.
44'
Both Zaha and Bailly appear to have taken a knock in that challenge but both players look as though they’re going to be able to continue.
42'
Zaha’s influence in this game is starting to grow and he wins yet another free-kick following a foul by Fosu-Mensah, although he does throw himself to the ground in a rather theatrical manner. Zaha then gets in behind the United defence down the left-hand side of the penalty box, but his second touch is too heavy and allows Bailly to slide in with an important tackle to take the ball away from the winger.
40'
The United fans are in full voice now and understandably so as their side look relatively comfortable as things stand.
38'
Milivojevic goes for goal but his effort is deflected out off the wall for a corner, which is confidently claimed by Joel Pereira.
37'
Zaha wins another free-kick, this time just outside the United penalty area having been brought to ground by Fosu-Mensah, and Milivojevic once again stands over it.
35'
Zaha has been pretty quiet in this game so far but he wins a free-kick midway through the United half having been pulled back by Axel Tuanzebe. Milivojevic takes the free-kick and very nearly picks out Tomkins who is free at the back post, but the ball is fractionally too heavy for the centre-back to get on the end of.
33'
Close!! Harrop goes close to getting his second of the game as he once again cuts inside onto is right foot and curls a dipping effort narrowly over the bar from the left-hand corner of the penalty box.
32'
Palace are really struggling to get out of their own half just at the minute and United are knocking the ball around with ease, with both Fosu-Mensah and Mitchell playing extremely high up the pitch in the full-back positions.
30'
Pogba is running things for United at the minute and he plays in Lingard down the left-hand side of the penalty area and Lingard has Rooney to aim for in the middle, but his low cross is a tame one and is easily diverted out for a corner, which comes to nothing.
28'
Lingard picks out Mitchell on the left-hand side and the left-back has space to cross, but he just dwells on the ball for too long allowing Ward to make a tackle. Ward will not be too pleased with Wilfried Zaha there though as the winger made no attempt to track the full-back.
26'
CHANCE!! A chance for Palace to pull one back now as Puncheon swings in a wonderful inswinging corner from the right-hand side and an unmarked Benteke attacks it six yards out from goal, but he somehow manages to miss the ball completely and it rolls out of play for a goal kick on the far side.
24'
United look quite happy to allow Palace to have the ball at the minute and they’re getting plenty of numbers behind the ball, meaning Palace are going to have to be extremely patient.
22'
Benteke holds the ball up well inside the United penalty area and looks to play van Aanholt in on goal down the left-hand side, but the pass is just too heavy for van Aanholt who is forced wide, allowing Fosu-Mensah to recover and regain possession for United.
21'
United look extremely comfortable in possession now and Palace are struggling to get into forward areas as they were doing in the opening minutes.
19'
P. Pogba has scored a goal for Manchester United!
GOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!! Pogba makes it two!! United break forward quickly at pace as Lingard brings the ball up towards the Palace penalty area from inside his own half before sliding a pass into the area, and Joel Ward fails to deal with it allowing Pogba to slide the ball under Hennessey and into the back of the net.
17'
Palace had settled into a very compact shape with five men in midfield before that goal, but they may well have to be a little bit more adventurous now.
15'
J. Harrop has scored a goal for Manchester United! Assist by P. Pogba.
Pogba's pass down the line was weighted perfectly for Harrop to get on the end of, but he still had an awful lot to do.
GOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!! Harrop gives United the lead!! Paul Pogba picks out the youngster with an outstanding pass down the left-hand side and he cuts inside Martin Kelly onto his right foot before firing a powerful effort into the far corner from 15 yards out.
12'
CLOSE!!! Demetri Mitchell plays a lovely long ball over the top of the Palace defence and Rooney controls it well before attempting an ambitious left-footed lob over the onrushing Wayne Hennessey, but he puts fractionally too much on the shot and lands it on the roof of the net.
10'
It’s been a relatively quiet start to the game from both sides so far, but Palace will probably be the happier of the two sides having looked the more threatening going forward.
8'
Christian Benteke receives the ball into his feet with his back to goal just inside the United penalty area and looks to shoot on the turn, but Phil Jones sticks with him well and makes a good block on the striker’s well-struck, low shot.
6'
Josh Harrop gets his first chance to run with the ball at his feet and he’s brought to ground by Luka Milivojevic close to halfway. The debutant showed a good turn of speed there to get away from the Palace midfielder who is perhaps lucky to have escaped a booking.
4'
Jesse Lingard looks to have started out on the right-hand side of the front three but the Englishman is already showing his willingness to come in field and support of Rooney through the middle.
2'
Chance! An early chance for Palace as Patrick van Aanholt gets in behind the United defence inside the left-hand edge of the penalty box after a lovely one-two with Jason Puncheon, but Timothy Fosu-Mensah recovers well to make a superb sliding challenge to deny him.
1'
Kick-off! Wayne Rooney gets the game underway for United.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League match between Manchester United and Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Manchester United currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, seven points adrift of Liverpool in fourth, meaning winning the Europa League final on Wednesday is their only route into next season’s Champions League.
They will certainly want to take some confidence into that game with a win today though, especially as they are without a win in their last four games in all competitions.
Palace meanwhile secured Premier League survival with a 4-0 win over Hull City last time out, a result that moved them up to 13th in the table as well as condemning their opponents to relegation.
Despite being in danger of relegation just a few days ago, Palace could finish as high as eleventh in the table with a win, should other results go in their favour, such is the tight nature of the bottom half of the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho chose to rest a number of key players for the midweek clash with Southampton, and the United manager has opted to do the same again today with Demetri Mitchell, Josh Harrop and Timothy Fosu-Mensah all getting a run out along with goalkeeper Joel Pereira, while Phil Jones and Wayne Rooney are the only survivors from the draw with Southampton.
Sam Allardyce makes just two changes from the side that beat Hull, with James McArthur and Patrick van Aanholt replacing Yohan Cabaye and Andros Townsend.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a late winner to secure a 2-1 victory when the two sides met at Selhurst Park earlier in the season, after James McArthur had cancelled out Paul Pogba’s opener.
The players are making their way out onto the pitch, kick-off is not far away now.
Half-time: Manchester United 2-0 Crystal Palace
United go into the break in complete control of this match thanks to a goal from debutant Harrop and one from the influential Pogba, who was then replaced before the break along with Lingard.
Sam Allardyce may well have to change the system in order for his side to get back into this game in the second half, as United have defended in numbers and looked well organised at the back, although Zaha did cause them a few problems in the latter stages of the first half. Jose Mourinho meanwhile will be asking for more of the same from his side.
Full-time: Manchester United 2-0 Crystal Palace
It’s all over at Old Trafford and United will go into the Europa League final on the back of a win thanks to goals from debutant Josh Harrop and the outstanding Paul Pogba, who was then replaced before half-time ahead of the final. Palace were far from their best and played like a side who had very little to play for, but they will be satisfied to be playing Premier league football next season after being in serious danger of relegation throughout the campaign. That’s all from us for today and for this Premier League season, thanks for joining us and we hope you can join us again soon.
