FULL TIME! It's all over and Besiktas beat RB Leipzig 2-0 thanks to those first-half goals from Ryan Babel and Anderson Talisca. Leipzig gave it a real go in the second half but just couldn't find the breakthrough, with the game delayed for over 10 minutes after some of the floodlights failed.
90' +11
A few whistles from the crowd when the hosts have it now, they've seen enough now. They want the final whistle.
90' +9
WHAT A CHANCE! Augustin is slipped through into the box, he takes a touch before blasting high over the bar! A real lack of composure from the youngster there. He won't get a better chance than that.
90' +8
It's another chance for Leipzig! This time its Halstenberg who has a go and he's not far away. It all seems a case of too little, too late by Leipzig but if they do get one now it would set up a really nervy last few minutes.
90' +7
Bruma tries to play a one-two with Sabitzer in the box but it doesn't quite come off. The visitors retain posession however, and the whistles from the crowd are almost defeaning!
90' +5
All credit to Leipzig who have simply not given up and are finishing the game really strongly. Sabitzer has another go, but this time his shot is well wide.
90' +3
SABITZER HITS THE POST! So close for Leipzig. Pepe thinks the ball is going out, Sabitzer carries on and let flies at a really tight angle and it hits the crossbar and flies away to safety. What a chance!
90' +1
CHANCE! Fabricio makes a mess of a corner and when the ball comes back in, the shot is deflected off Pepe and flies just wide of the post!
89'
Kampl tries to drive Leipzig forwards, he's certainly made an impact since coming on. He crosses into the box, and Besiktas needlessly put it out for a corner.
87'
Fabri gets yellow.
Yellow card Fabricio Martín Agosto Ramírez
Minute
Description
86'
Leipzig still probing and pressing but struggling to break down Besiktas at the moment and the hosts seem happy to let them have possession while looking comfortable at the back.
84'
Besiktas break through Babel who slides the ball through to Cenk Tosu but Kampl has tracked him all the way and just manages to nick in ahead of him.
82'
Another Forsberg free kick and yet again it's a really poor delivery, Leipzig really have struggled to find any quality in attack tonight.
80'
Álvaro Negredo enters the game and replaces C. Tosun.
Good defending by Sanker who manages to keep up with Cenk Tosun and then ease the ball off him just as they reached the area. Leipzig showing plenty of determination in this second half.
Substitution Cenk Tosun Álvaro Negredo Sánchez
78'
Now it's Leipzig's turn, with a free kick outside the box. Forsberg again stands over it, but again his delivery is really poor. It's over the heads of all his team-mates and out for a goal kick.
76'
Halstenberg brings down Quaresma and now Besiktas have the chance to get the ball in the box. It's fired in and finds Pepe, but he's miles offside and the flag is up.
74'
Tosun wants a penalty! He feels he was impeded in the box but the referee isn't interested. The Besiktas man reacts angrily, he's really frustrated at that decision.
73'
In the other game in the group, Aboubakar has grabbed his second of the night for Porto at Monaco - that would be something of a surprise if they can hold on against the French champions.
72'
That break in play was not what Leipzig wanted at all, they had just started to build up a bit of momentum. Still there's plenty of time left, we should have at least 12 minutes of stoppage time.
71'
T. Arslan enters the game and replaces Talisca.
Substitution Anderson Souza Conceição Tolgay Ali Arslan
70'
WE'RE BACK! Besiktas make a change as we get back on with it. Necip Uysal is coming on for Medel for the final 20 minutes and what we will be a LOT of stoppage time.
68'
Leipzig are now running back onto the pitch and hopefully action will resume shortly.
66'
The lights are back on! Besiktas players are back on the pitch but we are still waiting for RB Leipzig and the officials.
63'
No sign of play continuing at the moment. The floodlights have failed on one side of the stadium and the players are now being taken off the pitch by the officials.
60'
N. Uysal enters the game and replaces G. Medel.
We have a small problem here, some of the floodlights have failed in the stadium and although the supporters are doing their best by holding their phones aloft, play has temporarily been suspended.
Substitution Gary Alexis Medel Soto Necip Uysal
59'
Bruma enters the game and replaces N. Keïta.
Substitution Naby Deco Keïta Armindo Tué Na Bangna
58'
GREAT SAVE FABRICIO! Much, much better from Leipzig. Keita starts the move, lays it off to Forsberg, but he does well despite being crowded out to find Sabitzer. He manages to fire in a low shot and Fabricio is forced to tip it around the post!
56'
Sabitzer does brilliantly down the left to wriggle free and then get his cross in but it is volleyed clear by Pepe. Then ball then comes out to Keita who fires a shot well wide. It just hasn't been his night sofar.
54'
A corner to Leipzig, who have started this half pretty well it has to be said. Forsberg fires it in but he's overdone it and although the visitors then pump it back in they are penalised for a foul in the box after Pepe is pushed over.
52'
GOOD SAVE FABRICIO! Sabitzer tries to catch the goalkeeper out by firing at his near post, but he's alive to the danger and gets down quickly to parry!
51'
Huge whistles from all over the ground as the visitors enjoy a few minutes of possession. However, it comes to a swift end with Kampl's dinked ball into the box, finding absolutely no-one and running harmlessly out of play.
50'
Augustin wants a free kick just outside the box after going to ground, and there was some contact. However, the referee isn't interested and Besiktas pick up possession and clear the ball.
48'
CHANCE! Forsberg has a pop from range and it's a dipping shot that flies just over the bar. Probably their best effort of the match it has to be said.
46'
K. Kampl enters the game and replaces W. Orbán.
HERE WE GO AGAIN! The hosts get us underway and we are off again in Istanbul. Leipzig have made another chanage at the break with Kevin Kampl coming on for Orban.
Substitution Willi Orban Kevin Kampl
45' +2
HALF-TIME! Besiktas lead 2-0 at the break, thanks to goals from Ryan Babel and Anderson Talisca. They have been comfortably the better team and RB Leipzig have also lost Timo Werner to injury. They have a mountain to climb in the second half if they are to get anything out of this match.
45'
Into TWO minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half... Besiktas ending it as they began the match - on the attack.
43'
Talisca has scored a goal for Besiktas! Assist by Ricardo Quaresma.
Assist Ricardo Andrade Quaresma Bernardo
GOAL! Besiktas double their lead just before half-time! Again the danger comes from Quaresma down the right. He crosses and Talisca stoops to power his header past Gulacsi from close range!
42'
Good save Gulacsi! He is forced to parry at his near post after Tosun manages to fire in a shot from a tight angle. Decent effort from the Besiktas striker.
40'
Five minutes to go until half-time and Besiktas are looking comfortable. They work the ball out wide to Quaresma again who crosses for Tosun but he is then penalised for a foul on Orban.
38'
Leipzig have come back into this game but are just lacking a bit of quality up front. The loss of Werner is huge, he's their top scorer this season, and the onus is now on 20-year-old Augustin to provide the firepower.
36'
RB Leipzig have a free kick in a promising position. Up steps Forsberg who fires it high and wide and into the crowd. What a waste.
34'
Almost a brilliant impact from the substitute! Klostermann is sent clear through and fires his shot into the net but it's ruled out for offside. Looked a really close call!
32'
L. Klostermann enters the game and replaces T. Werner.
Substitution Timo Werner Lukas Klostermann
Talisca is down again after another tangle with Keita and is holding his throat. It looked an accidental collision on the replay. Meanwhile, Timo Werner has gone off and Lukas Klostermann has come on. That's a massive blow for the visitors.
30'
Half an hour gone in Istanbul and Besiktas are deservedly 1-0 ahead. It's been a slow start from the visitors but you sense they are slowly getting to grips with the task in hand.
28'
Augustin chases a loose ball into the box and manages to pull it back but there is no-one there to help him out and the hosts can clear. Meanwhile, there's a bit of activity on the visitors' bench, it looks like they may be set to make an early change.
26'
Leipzig win a couple of corners but they can't manage to work a chance from either. Still, just a few signs they are finally growing into this match.
24'
Keita goes in late again, and you suspect if he hadn't already been booked, he might have been there. He gets away with it this time, but surely another one of those and he will be off. He needs to be very, very careful now.
23'
Decent effort from Sabitzer! Much, much better from the visitors who force Fabricio into his first save of the evening with a shot from range. It's fairly routine stuff but maybe it can give the German team something to build on.
21'
Bestiktas are enjoying themselves at the moment, pssing the ball crisply inside the Leipzig half and looking in complete control.
19'
Finally a shot at goal from Leipzig but it's a really poor effort from Keita. His shot lacks power and is off-target and sadly for the visitors, that's the best they have managed to come up with so far.
17'
C. Erkin gets yellow.
Besiktas have a free kick on the edge of the box but Caner Erkin can only power it into the wall. It goes out for a corner which is cleared at the near post and Quaresma's cross is then punched clear by goalkeeper Sanker.
Yellow card Caner Erkin
15'
N. Keïta gets yellow.
Yellow card Naby Deco Keïta
Forsberg tries to get Leipzig going and lays it off to Naby Keita but he is easily dispossessed by Gary Medel. The visitors are going to have to do better than that. Keita is then booked for a foul. It's not a bad challenge but he's had a few now and the referee seems to have run out of patience with him.
13'
Leipzig try to respond immediately through Augustin but he is denied by a brilliant block on the edge of the box. The visitors have barely had a sight of goal just yet.
11'
R. Babel has scored a goal for Besiktas! Assist by C. Tosun.
Assist Cenk Tosun
GOAL! Besiktas are ahead and it's Ryan Babel! The hosts have started strongly and manage to grab an early goal. It came down the left through Tosun who held off his man before picking out Babel in the box to sidefoot home!
10'
Talisca goes down again after a foul by Forsberg, that's the third time he's been fouled already. Leipzig clearly wary of the threat he poses in the Besiktas midfield.
8'
W. Orbán gets yellow.
Yellow card Willi Orban
Orban goes in strongly on Tosun and the referee is not impressed. The Leipzig captain is the first player into the book.
6'
After a spell of possession, Talisca tries his luck on the edge of the box. However, while he manages to get power behind his shot, it's nowhere near the target and flies miles wide.
5'
The hosts are having the better of the early exchanges, backed by a vociferous home support. Leipzig seeing little of the ball at the moment.
3'
Early chance for the hosts, Quaresma crosses for Talisca but Leipzig manage to get it away for a corner, which comes to nothing. Still an early warning for the Bundesliga side.
2'
Besiktas all in white tonight, Leipzig in dark blue with a yellow trim. The hosts have an early free kick on the half-way line after Talisca is fouled. He gets up very slowly, but he's going to be OK to continue.

HERE WE GO! RB Leipzig kick off and we are underway in Istanbul. It's a VERY noisy atmosphere, as you might expect with huge whistles from the crowd whenever the visitors are in possession.
Good evening and welcome to our Live Text Commentary of Besiktas v RB Leipzig. It’s a first ever European away game for the visitors while tonight’s hosts are yet to beat a German team in Europe. Stay tuned because all the action is coming right up!
Tonight's hosts Besiktas got off to a superb start last time out with a 3-1 win at FC Porto. Goals from Anderson Talisca, Cenk Tosun and Ryan Babel did the damage as the Super Lig champions picked up all three points. Leipzig, meanwhile, held Monaco to a 1-1 draw in their first ever Champions League game. Emil Forsberg had put the German side ahead but Youri Tielemans equalised within minutes to deny them a dream start.
So without any further ado let's take a check on tonight's two teams...
Some quick team news for RB Leipzig, they welcome Naby Keita back and will be looking to forward duo Timo Werner and Jean-Kevin Augustin to provide the goals.
Besiktas, meanwhile, are unchanged from the team that lost 2-1 to Fenerbahce at the weekend.
Not long to go now! The two teams are being led out of the tunnel and onto the pitch and kick off is not too far away!
The Champions League anthem has been sung, hands have been shaken and both teams have enjoyed a pre-match huddle! We are just about ready to go. Don't go anywhere!
Elsewhere in Group G tonight it's Monaco 0-1 FC Porto at half-time - Vincent Aboubakar the goalscorer.
That second goal for Besiktas really has put the hosts in a very strong position tonight and looking really good for another three points. RB Leipzig may now be forced to come out a bit more to try and get back in it with a goal, allowing the hosts to hit them on the break.
So another three points for Besiktas which leaves them top of Group G with six points from two games. The group's other game saw Porto win 3-0 in Monaco, they go second on four points with Monaco and RB Leipzig behind on just one point. That's all we have time for tonight, hope you enjoyed the game and thanks for joining us.
