82'
A. Knockaert has scored a goal for Brighton & Hove Albion! Assist by P. Groß.
GOAL! Knockaert has scored what could end up being the winner! Bruno easily gets the better of Calvert-Lewin as he cuts inside from the right wing and crosses. Izquierdo's first-time shot is blocked by Keane but not cleared by Schneiderlin, allowing Knockaert to beat Pickford with a thumping low shot from 10 yards out.
Gross did really well to dive on the ball ahead of Schneiderlin before teeing up Knockaert, but the Everton midfielder really should have done better to blast the ball away.
81'
A lofted pass is fired up towards the Brighton penalty area and manages to find Calvert-Lewin. The youngster does well to rise high and head the ball down to Niasse, who quickly shoots but sends his thumping strike high over the top of the crossbar.
80'
Sigurdsson screams for a penalty, but nothing is given! The Iceland international looks set to get a shot away from inside the Brighton box after the hosts aren't able to fully clear the danger, but he's pulled back by Gross before he can do so. He immediately screams for a penalty, but the referee isn't at all interested and waves play on.
78'
Izquierdo has made a great impact since coming off the substitutes' bench, and he's making life tough for the Everton defenders. Once again, he flies down the left wing on a brilliant run before cutting inside and shooting, but this time his low strike is poorly hit and bounces comfortably past the near post.
76'
And now Knockaert goes close! Everton aren't able to fully deal with the resulting corner, allowing Brighton to keep pushing forward for an opener. Knockaert eventually manages to get the better of Baines before poking a shot towards goal, but it ends up deflecting narrowly wide of the far post.
75'
Thumping shot by Izquierdo! Rooney loses the ball over on the left flank, allowing Izquierdo to cut inside from out wide on a weaving run. The substitute then unleashes a great low strike that forces Pickford into making a strong diving save.
74'
What an opportunity for Calvert-Lewin! The youngster does well to get the better of Bruno before latching onto a looping cross from Rooney. He brings the ball down and quickly shoots, but his low strike is poorly hit and rolls straight into the hands of Ryan. He really should have done better with that!
73'
J. Izquierdo enters the game and replaces S. March.
U. Hünemeier enters the game and replaces S. Duffy.
Brighton have decided to make a double substitution as they try to find a way in front. The first player to come on is Uwe Hunemeier, who replaces the injured Duffy.
And the second is Jose Izquierdo, who takes the place of March.
72'
Duffy battles hard with Niasse as the two players try to latch onto a lofted pass forward, and it's the defender who comes out on top with a well-timed header. He injures himself in the process, however, and it looks as if he's nastily tweaked a muscle.
70'
Murray is clumsily fouled over on the left flank, leaving the referee with no choice but to award the home side a free-kick in a promising position. Gross' cross into the box is a good one and makes life difficult for Pickford, who is just about able to get a fist on the ball ahead of Duffy.
69'
O. Niasse enters the game and replaces I. Gueye.
Everton have decided to make their first change of the afternoon, and it's an attacking one. Oumar Niasse has come on to replace Gueye and has immediately gone up front.

67'
L. Dunk gets yellow.
Rooney tries to latch onto a lofted pass but is tugged back by Dunk, resulting in a yellow card for the Brighton defender and a free-kick for the visitors midway inside the hosts' half of the pitch. The set-piece is fired in by Sigurdsson and eventually bounces out to Holgate, who is immediately clattered into by Murray and wins Everton yet another free-kick, this time much closer to goal.
65'
Another Brighton corner is swung in by Gross and manages to pick out Duffy at the far post, but, after climbing all over Jagielka, the Irish defender isn't able to hit the target and sends his looping header wide of the goal.
64'
Gross' cross in from the corner is a dangerous one and causes problems for Pickford, who is just about able to get a fist on the ball. Gueye is then able to make contact with it himself, and he then wins a free-kick for his side after being clumsily fouled from behind.
63'
Gross is cynically dragged back by Keane, resulting in a free-kick for Brighton in a promising position. It initially fails to result in a chance on goal before the ball bounces out to March, who tees up Knockaert to fire a cross off Gueye and behind for a corner.
61'
It's been a better start to the second half for Everton, who struggled just before the break but now find themselves on the front foot. Vlasic and Calvert-Lewin are starting to get more involved in the game, while Holgate has found some joy when bombing down the right flank.
59'
Gross and March link up well just outside of the Everton penalty area on the left wing, setting up the latter to whip a cross into the box. It's poorly hit by him though, and the ball ends up flying straight into the hands of Pickford in the middle of the goal.
57'
Huge opportunity for Vlasic! Gueye makes a quick recovery and picks out Vlasic with a clever pass up to the edge of the Brighton box. The youngster spins round his marker and shoots, but he loses his footing at the vital moment and ends up firing his strike wide of the near post.
56'
D. Pröpper gets yellow.
Ouch! A studs up challenge from Propper catches Gueye on the top of the foot, leaving the Everton midfielder on the floor and in a lot of pain. The Dutchman is shown a yellow card as Gueye receives medical treatment, and he's lucky he wasn't given his marching orders for that challenge.
54'
Everton come back once again as they continue putting pressure on the Brighton back line. This time it's Vlasic who chips a well-placed cross over to the far post after managing to carve out a pocket of space for himself, and Calvert-Lewin does well to test Ryan again with a downward header.
52'
Holgate goes close! Gueye is brought down just inside the Brighton half of the pitch, resulting in a free-kick for Everton. It's sent short and worked over to Holgate, who sprints into the right-hand side of the box and unleashes a shot that's well saved by Ryan in the middle of the goal.
50'
Gross cuts inside from the left wing before poking a clever pass into the path of Murray. The striker charges into the Everton penalty area and tries to get a shot away, but he's well dealt with by Keane and ends up being dispossessed by the centre-back.
48'
Brighton patiently knock the ball around inside the Everton half of the pitch as they try to carve out an early chance on goal, but Gross ends up committing a foul over on the right wing as he battles for the ball and the visitors are able to hold on.
46'
We're underway once again!
45' +1
Everton are able to push on one final attack before the half-time break, but just sa Rooney charges towards the Brighton box and shoots, the linesman's flag is raised for a foul over on the right wing.
45'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be just one minute of added time.
43'
Propper charges through a sea of Everton players as he quickly cuts inside from the left flank. He then does well to set up Murray inside the penalty area, but, not for the first time this afternoon, the striker is caught in an offside position and brings a promising attacking move to a disappointing end.
41'
Brighton seem to be growing in confidence after doing well to weather an early storm. Everton are now struggling to find much joy inside the final third of the pitch, where Rooney and Calvert-Lewin have been left totally isolated due to the possession being enjoyed by the home side.
39'
A Brighton free-kick on the halfway line is thumped up towards the Everton box, where it picks ends up bouncing out to March out wide. His cross into the penalty area isn't a particularly good one but deflects out to Stephens, who then unleashes a wild strike high and wide of the goal.
37'
Dale Stephens picks up the ball on the halfway line after it's clumsily lost by Everton. He then quickly tries to pick out March with a lofted pass over to the left flank, but Keane is just about able to deal with the danger with an outstretched leg.
35'
Space opens up for Gross, allowing him to burst down the right wing on a marauding run. He then swings an excellent cross right onto the chest of Murray, who manages to make contact with the ball but can only knock it into the hands of Pickford before bieng able to shoot.
34'
Gueye goes close! The Brighton defenders step off the midfielder, allowing him to cut onto his right foot and shoot from just outside of the penalty area. The striker is a good one, and it makes Ryan momentarily panic as it bounces just wide of the far post.
32'
What a chance for Dunk! A poor pass from Gueye can only find Solly March, who gets himself into a good position out wide and wins the home side a corner. It's sent short and eventually finds Dunk over at the far post, and the defender's thumping strike is well blocked by Keane before it can test Pickford.
30'
Brighton are finally able to enjoy a decent spell of possession after a lengthy period on the back foot. They're unable to make it count though, as Gross ends up losing the ball over on the right wing as he tries to find a way into the visitors' box.
28'
Michael Keane charges deep into the Brighton half of the pitch and plays a quick one-two with Vlasic before unleashing a cross, but the ball into the Brighton box is a poor one and sails behind for a goal-kick.
26'
Brighton are giving away a lot of free-kicks at the moment, with Vlasic the latest Everton player to be fouled inside the hosts' half of the pitch. This time Sigurdsson's cross fails to pick out a team-mate in front of goal, with Gross easily able to clear the danger.
24'
Murray clatters into Schneiderlin from behind, and this time it's Everton who are awarded a free-kick in a decent area of the pitch. Once again, the cross in from Sigurdsson is a good one and manages to find Calvert-Lewin, who gets a head on the ball but sends it looping high over the top of the crossbar.
22'
A high foot from Morgan Schneiderlin catches Gross on the halfway line, resulting in a free-kick for Brighton and, more importantly, a chance for the home side to enjoy a spell of possession. The ball is fired into the penalty area by Knockaert and finds Davy Propper, who gets a head on it but is immediately flagged offside.
20'
The resulting set-piece is curled in by Sigurdsson and almost picks out Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the far post, but Bruno is just about able to deal with the youngster to make sure the ball bounces behind for a goal-kick.
19'
Great chance for Everton! Sigurdsson is left in a pocket of space just outside of the Brighton box, allowing him to break towards the penalty area before working the ball into the feet of Vlasic. The youngster quickly spins and tees up Gueye, who immediately unleashes a low shot that's well saved by Ryan.
18'
Sigurdsson and Baines link up well deep down the left flank before the latter fires in a low cross, but it's well dealt with by Bruno Saltor, who blasts the ball over to Anthony Knockaert. The Frenchman then tries to counter-attack quickly over on the right wing, but he's dispossessed by a well-timed sliding tackle from Sigurdsson.
16'
Both Duffy and Jagielka are able to continue after momentarily receiving medical treatment, and the game gets underway once again. Gross picks up the ball over on the left wing and bursts forward before swinging a cross into the middle of the Everton penalty area, where the ball is easily collected by Jordan Pickford.
14'
Rooney is caught from behind by Duffy, resulting in a free-kick for Everton in a promising position over on the left flank. Sigurdsson's ball into the box is a good one and causes problems for Matt Ryan, who is just about able to get a fist on it before clattering into both Duffy and Phil Jagielka.
12'
Rooney loses out to Shane Duffy, allowing Brighton to try and hit Everton on a quick counter-attack. Glenn Murray is brought into the game for the first time as he tries to skip into the box, but he's immediately surrounded by defenders and is swiftly dispossessed.
10'
Brighton are able to push forward after a period on the back foot, but, once again, poor play by Gross gifts Everton a great opportunity to break away quickly. Rooney charges down the left wing and then picks out Sigurdsson, who quickly shoots from the edge of the box but is well closed down by Lewis Dunk.
8'
A deep cross in from Mason Holgate fails to find anyone inside the Brighton penalty area but bounces out to Leighton Baines on the opposite flank. The left-back's ball into the box is a better one and causes a few problems for the hosts, who nonetheless do well to clear the danger.
6'
Pascal Gross clumsily loses the ball on the halfway line, allowing Everton to counter-attack quickly. They're unable to do so though, as Nikola Vlasic gives away possession over on the right flank and allows Markus Suttner to blast the ball back up the pitch.
4'
Idrissa Gueye storms through the middle of the pitch on a marauding run before teeing up Wayne Rooney. The striker quickly works the ball over to Sigurdsson on the edge of the penalty area, but the Icelander is immediately closed down and can't guide his rushed shot through a sea of defenders.
2'
Everton immediately win themselves a free-kick over on the left wing, but it fails to result in a chance on goal after Gylfi Sigurdsson's cross into the penalty area is underhit and poorly placed.

We're off! Everton get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League game between Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton at the Amex Stadium.
It was a tough start to the season for Brighton, who marked their return to the top tier of English football for the first time in almost 35 years with two defeats and a draw against 10-man Watford. They’ve improved since then, however, and they head into today’s game with two well-deserved wins from their previous four outings, with both of those victories coming in this very stadium.
Another home win today would see Brighton pick up three consecutive victories for the first time since September 1982, moving them up to 10th place in the process. Even Manchester City didn’t fully enjoy themselves when they visited the Amex on the opening weekend, and this afternoon could prove to be a tough one for an Everton side that continue to disappoint.
The pressure is slowly but surely building on Ronald Koeman, who has overseen a desperately disappointing start to the season. A record of just seven points from seven games has left Everton languishing in 17th place, and while they currently sit equal on points with their opponents today, their inability to live up to the pre-season excitement felt by many fans has left some questioning how much longer Koeman will end up staying at the club if results don’t soon improve.
Only Stoke City and Bournemouth have been beaten by Everton so far this campaign, with Burnley the latest side to get the better of the Toffees in another lacklustre game at Goodison Park. They’ve found little joy away from home and are continuing to struggle in front of goal, where former striker Romelu Lukaku has managed just one shot fewer on his own than the entire Everton squad combined.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Chris Hughton has decided to make three changes to the Brighton side that started the defeat away to Arsenal two weeks ago, with Markus Suttner, Anthony Knockaert and Glenn Murray coming into the starting line-up to replace Gaetan Bong, Jose Izquierdo and Izzy Brown, respectively.
Meanwhile, Everton boss Ronald Koeman has also made three alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with Cuco Martina, Ashley Williams and Tom Davies making way for Mason Holgate, Nikola Vlasic and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as they switch to a four-man defence.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 0-0 EVERTON
It wasn't the best of first halves for the two sides, with neither managing to find much joy in front of goal. Brighton slowly but surely grew into the game, however, and arguably head down the tunnel on top, with the likes of March and Gross finally managing to find some joy inside the final third of the pitch after a slightly lacklustre start to the afternoon.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 1-1 EVERTON
A slightly underwhelming game that looked set to end in a goalless draw ended in fine fashion, with both sides battling hard to score late goals. Brighton did really well to finally find the back of the net after looking the better of the two sides for most of the afternoon, but Everton were saved from another disappointing defeat right at the end when Bruno clumsily caught Calvert-Lewin inside the box.
The draw isn't the best of results for Everton, who are only able to move up to 16th place as a result, but under the circumstances it's the best they could have hoped for. Brighton, meanwhile, have climbed up to 14th, and they'll be hoping for more joy against West Ham United when the two meet in London on Friday evening. Everton, meanwhile, are next in action against Arsenal after hosting Lyon in the Europa League during the week.
