Third and final Juventus substitution here as Stefano Sturaro makes way and he is replaced by Douglas Costa.
With almost his first touch of the game since coming off the bench, Douglas Costa turned provider for Mandžukić, who looks to have scored the winning goal here.
GOOOAAALLL! JUVENTUS LEAD! They finally have the breakthrough here and the Italian crowd go ecstatic inside the Allianz Stadium. Mandžukić powers his header into the back of the net, giving Rui Patricio no chance of saving it! Douglas Costa who has only just come into the pitch, chipped a delightful ball up the Mandžukić at the far post and the striker did the rest, after beating his marker in the air.
83'
G. Chiellini gets yellow.
Chiellini is booked late on.
80'
The Italian side are throwing players forward now in the hope of breaking through the resilient Sporting defence, they are yet to carve them open tonight and a point would arguably be a fair result, especially the way that Sporting have defended this evening.

Juventus are piling on the pressure here and they have got Sporting camped inside their own final third, they are a lot of players inside the penalty area and at the moment and they defending well so far, with Sebastián Coates doing a solid job at organising his defenders.

Here is the second Juventus substitution of the evening and Sami Khedira is the man heading off the pitch, he is replaced by Blaise Matuidi.
59'
Looks like Juventus may be about to make their second change of the evening, despite all their possession in this second half, they have failed to create any substantial to threaten Rui Patricio in the Sporting goal.
57'
PENALTY SHOUT! Sporting are appealing for a spot-kick here as the ball appears to strike the arm of a Juve defender in the penalty area, however it would've been a harsh call, with barely any reaction time for the Juve man to get out of the way of the header from Marcos Acuña. Nothing given.
54'
Both teams are struggling to keep the ball at the moment, too many misplaced passes and silly fouls which aren't allowing either side time to mount any attacks on goal. Juventus look the more likely side to score, with the home advantage but Sporting can't be ruled out just yet.
52'
Paulo Dybala has undoubtedly been Juventus’ shining light this season. The young Argentine has scored ten goals in ten appearances this season and scored four Champions League goals last season.

Chance Juve! An excellent through ball by Dybala, which splits the Sporting defence and almost allows Khedira through on goal, with just the keeper to beat. However, Fábio Coentrão is on hand to get across quickly and smash the ball out of play for a corner.

The visitors were struggling to keep the ball in the early stages, but they have started this second period fairly well so far. They will need to make sure this continues or they risk being overrun by this world class Juventus side.

GOOD SAVE! Rui Patricio pulls off an excellent instinctive save to deny Chiellini from close range. Juve had a corner which was deep and landed with Chiellini at the far post, the centre-back took a touch before firing a low shot at goal, which the Sporting keeper had to get down fast to. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
40'
Just five minutes left on the clock until the break, can either side take the lead before the half-time whistle?
38'

We've got a brief stoppage in play here as Khedira is down in the Juventus box receiving medical treatment by the physios for an ankle injury. It doesn't look too serious and he should be fine to continue.

29'
M. Pjanić has scored a goal for Juventus!
GOOOAAALLL! JUVE EQUALISE! Pjanić with a stunning free-kick to make the score level here at the Allianz Stadium. the midfielder stepped up to take the free-kick, whipped it over the wall and curled it into the top right-hand corner, leaving the keeper with no chance. That goal has certainly given the home supporters the lift they needed!
28'
Juve have a free-kick in an excellent shooting position, just outside the box and Dybala and Miralem Pjanić are standing over the ball...
27'
The home supporters are starting to become a little frustrated at how the game is going so far tonight, their side have made a few too many sloppy passes and are voicing their discontent at any Sporting players taking too long on the ball, especially free-kicks and throw-ins.
25'
S. Coates gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the game is shown to Sebastián Coates for a foul on Gonzalo Higuain on the half-way line.
23'
Paulo Dybala has his first attempt on goal! Juve win the ball back, deep in the Sporting half and Cuadrado plays a ball into the box which was deflected and half cleared, before the ball landed at the feet of Dybala who tried to pass the ball into the bottom corner of the net, but his effort goes well wide.
22'
Sporting's attacking trio of Gelson, Bruno Fernandes and Bas Dost, are linking up well here tonight and each appears to know exactly where the other is going to run, which is helping to mount effect attacks and forward play. Whilst Juve have struggled to create much so far this evening.
19'
The visitors certainly don't look overawed at the quality of opposition or their surroundings here tonight, the Portuguese side are the better side at the moment and look good value for their lead.
17'
CHANCE JUVE! Much better from the home sides and Sami Khedira forces Rui Patricio into making a decent save here, his first of the evening. The ball fell to the midfielder on the edge of the box, he had to take it on the half-volley which meant he couldn't get much power behind the shot and this allowed the Sporting keeper to get down to his right and make the stop.
15'
Despite starting the game well, Juve have struggled to keep the ball the last 10 minutes or so and Sporting reacted to this, enjoying possession of their own and looking dangerous going forward. Now they have broken the deadlock, will they sit back and try and hold on for the victory, or aim to double their lead?
12'
Alex Sandro is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOOOAAALLL! SPORTING LEAD! A shock turn of events here in Turin as the Portuguese side take the lead in front of a stunned home crowd. Gelson Martins breaks through on goal and only had Gianluigi Buffon to beat who came rushing out of his goal, the keeper makes a good save but the rebounds bounces straight off Alex Sandro, the recovering Juve defender and it trickles over the line. Nothing the defender could do about that, but Sporting won't mind one bit.
11'
Both side's have opened their 2017/18 Champions League campaigns with wins over Greek side Olympiacos, who sit bottom of Group D.
9'
This is a positive start from the Portuguese side as they move the ball around freely here. Both had three points going into the game, just behind Barcelona at the top of the table, so a victory for either side would be huge in their bid to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.
6'
Rodrigo Battaglia gives away a poor free-kick in a good position for Juve to whip the ball into the box, for his heavy tackle on Juan Cuadrado from behind. The same Sporting man is forced to head the resulting free-kick out for a corner, with Giorgio Chiellini lurking closely behind. The resulting corner is well cleared by Sporting and the danger is gone.
4'
Sporting have now started to get a foothold in the game, they have capitalised on a few sloppy passes by Juve, to enjoy a spell of possession of their own in the Italians half of the pitch. However, their final ball is lacking and Juve easily cancel out any attacking threats.
2'
Juventus are unbeaten in 20 home matches in the UEFA Champions League, so far they are playing the ball around well in the middle of the pitch, but Sporting are pressing them high up the pitch and not allowing them anywhere near their final third.

We're underway!
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Champions League clash between Juventus and Sporting CP.
Juventus will be hoping to bounce back from their shock 2-1 home defeat to Lazio in Serie A, by securing another victory in Group D.
The new campaign hasn’t gone quite as well so far for Juve. They started with a surprising 3-2 defeat to Lazio in the Italian Super Cup, and whilst they have won seven games since then, their 3-0 loss at Barcelona got their Champions League campaign off to a poor start.
October has seen them decline further. First, their perfect start to the Serie A season came to an end as Atalanta held them to a draw, and after the international break Lazio became the first side in two years to beat them at home in competitive football.
Sporting ended a four match winless streak at the weekend against lower league Oleiros in the Taca de Portugal, but prior to that they had drawn three and lost one of their last four matches. That defeat came in the shape of a 1-0 defeat against Barcelona. The visitors have struggled to hit the back of the net this season and they have failed to score in three of their five matches in all competitions.
Juventus have kept a clean sheet in five of their six home games this season, and in eight of their last 11 at home in the Champions League, even further reducing Sporting’s chances of finding the net tonight. However, Juventus’ last seven home wins in the Champions League have been low scoring affairs as well.
JUVENTUS SUBS: Szczęsny, Barzagli, Asamoah, Matuidi, Bentancur, Bernardeschi, Douglas Costa
The confirmed team news is in, here is how the two starts will line-up tonight...
SPORTING SUBS: Salin, Jonathan, André Pinto, Palhinha, Bruno César, Podence e Doumbia.
SPORTING (4-2-3-1): Rui Patricio (GK); Piccini, Coates, Mathieu, Coentrao; Carvalho, Battaglia; Martins, Acuna, Bruno Fernandes; Bas Dost.
The teams are out here at the Allianz Stadium and kick-off is almost upon us. Stay tuned for all of the match action!
HALF-TIME: JUVENTUS 1-1 SPORTING
Juve began the game on top, dominating possession but Sporting never looked overawed by the occasion and they surprised the Italian side early on, with Alex Sandro the unlucky man as a rebound off Buffon hit the defender and went into the back of the net. However, Pjanic scored a fabulous free-kick to make the tie level again.
FULL-TIME: JUVENTUS 2-1 SPORTING
Juventus hard to work hard for the victory here tonight, but they have managed to secure all three points this evening with a 2-1 win over a resilient Sporting side. The Italians dominated large periods of the game but struggled to break down their opponents and Juve finally netted the winning goal late on thanks to Mario Mandžukić,
That's all from us tonight folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
