Werner tries his luck from long range, but he fires his shot wide of the Bayern goal and it doesn't cause Ulreich too many problems. Getting closer though, however time is running out now.
115'
Werner has the ball in the back of the Bayern net! However, the linesman has his flag up and it is ruled out for offside. The Leipzig striker is furious with the decision, a warning to Bayern that the hosts still pose a threat of their own going forward.
Minute
Description
113'
It will be interesting to see how the Bundesliga meeting on Saturday ends between the two sides, after this tight fixture tonight. However, it will be played at the home of Bayern.
111'
Less than 10 minutes to play here, can either side grab a winning goal or will we be heading to a penalty shoot-out?
109'
L. Klostermann enters the game and replaces E. Forsberg.
Another Leipzig substitution and it looks to be an enforced one with Emil Forsberg coming off with an injury, he has been replaced by Lukas Klostermann.
106'
GREAT CHANCE! Yet another Bayern chance that goes amiss with Lewandowski again failing to hit the back of the net, the striker hasn't had the best of evenings in front of goal and he missed another excellent chance there. The deflected cross came into the box and the Polish striker met it at the far post and had an open goal to aim at, but he powers it over the crossbar!
105' +2
That's the half-time whistle in extra time!
105'
ANOTHER BAYERN CHANCE! Lewandowski this time with the opportunity to score the winning goal, Gulácsi punched the ball clear but not far enough as it fell to the Polish striker and he fires a powerful shot at goal, which Gulácsi somehow manages to get a hand to and keep it out. The chances just keep on coming for Bayern.
We're back underway!
104'
OFF THE BAR! So close for Bayern! The corner was whupped into the box and met by Wriedt who powered a header towards goal and it cannoned off the crossbar and down towards the goal line but luckily for Leipzig, it bounced clear. Very good chance.
102'
K. Laimer enters the game and replaces M. Sabitzer.
Meanwhile, Leipzig make a change of their own with Marcel Sabitzer heading off and he is replaced by Konrad Laimer.
101'
K. Okyere Wriedt enters the game and replaces Thiago Alcântara.
Bayern change as Thiago is replaced by Kwasi Okyere Wriedt.
100'
FANTASTIC SAVES! Gulácsi with two phenomenal saves to keep the score level here, first stop the header by Lewandowski who rose above his marker and then Kimmich met the rebound and he looked certain to score. However Gulácsi is quick off his line and produces a wonderful save to somehow keep the score at 1-1. Best chance Bayern have had of taking the lead.
99'
Both sides reverting to simple football in the middle of the park, Bayern are seeing more of the ball and again look more dangerous but they may need a moment of magic to score here.
97'
Not much quality football on show at the moment as both teams battle it out for possession of the ball. The pace of the game has dropped now, with both teams taking their foot off the throttle.
95'
Thiago Alcântara gets yellow.
Thiago is the latest player to be shown a yellow card for his high boot on Demme, who got a heavy kick in the face but it looks like he will be fine to continue.
93'
The first period of extra-time has started the same way as the second half finished, with Bayern on top and controlling the ball but being frustrated by the resilient Leipzig defence.
90' +3
That's the end of 90 minutes, we are heading to extra time!
90'
There will be a minimum of three minutes of added time played here.
Extra time is underway!
89'
CHANCE BAYERN! Kimmich with a great opportunity with just a couple of minutes left on the clock. Robben whipped the ball into the box from a free-kick and it was met by the glancing header of Kimmich and it looked to be heading into the top right-hand corner, but it goes narrowly wide of the post.
88'
Rafinha enters the game and replaces C. Tolisso.
Bayern make their final change of the game, with Corentin Tolisso coming off and he had been replaced by Rafinha.
86'
J. Kimmich gets yellow.
Kimmich is shown a yellow card for a late challenge.
85'
Leipzig are doing a good job of restricting Bayern when they get into their final third, the visitors have all the possession but are lacking a clinical edge in the danger area and need to improve if they are going to carve open this Leipzig side once again.
83'
STAT: Bayern won both Bundesliga meetings last season: 3-0 at the Allianz Arena and 5-4 in Leipzig. The hosts may be looking to see this game out to extra-time as they are pushed further back and Bayern try to raise the pace of the game.
80'
T. Werner enters the game and replaces Y. Poulsen.
GOOD SAVE! Gulácsi with an excellent save to deny Thiago another goal, the midfielder struck it sweetly on the volley from the edge of the box, but Gulácsi did well to get down quickly and then Lewandowski couldn't move his feet quick enough to get on the end of the rebound.
Here is the second Leipzig substitution of the evening, with Yussuf Poulsen coming off and it is a straight swap, with Timo Werner replacing him.
78'
It looks like Timo Werner may be about to enter the fray for Leipzig here tonight, the striker is getting stripped and ready for the final few minutes of the first half. Will Leipzig go all out attack to try and win this game, but the quality of Bayern may punish them.
76'
Bayern continue to press forward for the winning goal now, they are back into full swing and will surely want to get this game wrapped up in normal time. The game with go to extra-time if the score remains the same after the end of 90.
73'
Thiago Alcântara has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Boateng.
Boateng makes up for his penalty mistake by turning provider by Thiago for the equalising goal. It was a terrific ball into box and finish by Thiago to make the score level with plenty of minutes still left to play.
GOOOAAALLL! BAYERN EQUALISE! Thiago with a terrific header to make the score level once again! The midfielder started the move off, feeding Boateng and then make a unmarked run into the penalty area, to meet the cross and power the ball into the Leipzig goal.
71'
The stadium is bouncing here as Leipzig look on course for a famous victory over Bayern. There is still plenty of time left on the clock here and Bayern have the extra man advantage.
68'
Penalty goal scored by E. Forsberg for RB Leipzig!
GOOOAAALLL! LEIPZIG TAKE THE LEAD! An emphatic penalty kick by Forsberg, a powerful strike into the bottom left-hand corner which gave Ulreich no chance as the keeper made his move to the other side. What a massive goal that is and the crowd have gone wild here inside the Red Bull Arena. Can they now hold on for the victory?
67'
PENALTY LEIPZIG! This time the referee isn't changing his mind and Leipzig have a spot-kick after Boateng stuck out a leg and brought down Poulsen just inside the penalty area. Huge appeals by the Bayern players but this time it is a spot-kick.
65'
WHAT A CHANCE! Lewandowski with the best Bayern chance of the evening and he should've scored! It was a mistake in midfield by Leipzig and the ball fell perfectly to Lewandowski who ran clear on goal and only had the keeper to beat, but he dragged his low shot just inches wide of the goal. He can't believe he managed to miss that, as you would expect a player of his quality to score that.
62'
It's all Bayern at the moment, they are camped inside the Leipzig half but they are struggling to carve out any goalscoring chances, with Leipzig defending well. However, they are starting to sit deeper and deeper which is inviting more pressure, tiring the players out especially with a player down.
60'
Javi Martínez enters the game and replaces K. Coman.
Another Bayern change, which sees Kingsley Coman head off the pitch and he has been replaced by Javier Martínez.
57'
S. Rudy enters the game and replaces A. Vidal.
D. Demme enters the game and replaces J. Augustin.
Bayern make a change of their own, with Arturo Vidal sensibly being taken off after already being on a booking. He has been replaced by Sebastian Rudy.
Leipzig make their first substitution of the game, with Jean-Kévin Augustin the man coming off and he has been replaced by Diego Demme.
55'
The sending off could be a huge turning point in this game and Bayern grab this man advantage with both hands. Keita had a superb game in midfield for Leipzig, the youngster was terrific on the ball but needed to keep a cool head, after picking up the first yellow for a poor tackle in the first half.
53'
N. Keïta gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
RED CARD! It was getting very fiesty here and Naby Keïta made a poor decision to pull Lewandowski back on the half-way line, a clear foul and a silly one for a player already on a yellow card. The referee has no option but to show a second yellow and Keita is given his marching orders.
52'
Lewandowksi has barely touched the ball so far tonight, he has been well defended by the Leipzig defenders. However, they will need it to remain that way for the remainder of the game and not give the Polish striker a sniff at goal. The wingers, Coman and Robben have arguably been the biggest threats for the visitors this evening.
50'
There isn't much to separate the teams in the opening few minutes of the second half. It was a hectic end to the opening 45 minutes with both teams showing off their pace and skill in attack and causing their defences problems.
48'
No changes for either side at the break, but there is plenty of quality on the bench for both teams for when they choose to try and change the direction of this game.
46'
The second half is underway!
45' +2
That's the half-time whistle!
45'
N. Keïta gets yellow.
Naby Keïta is the first Leipzig man to be shown a yellow card tonight after his late challenge on Thiago.
There will be a minimum of two minutes of added time played here.
42'
Bayern haven't been able to get their passing game going much tonight, they like to dominate teams but Leipzig aren't giving them any time or space in possession and Bayern are having to rush their forward balls.
40'
Only five minutes remaining here before the half-time whistle and Leipzig are well on top at present. A goal before half-time would be massive and keep their momentum going after a strong last 20 plus minutes. Bayern meanwhile, will want the whistle to blow so they can regroup at the break, they look vulnerable at the back.
38'
Robben is perhaps a lucky man to not be shown a yellow card, after two fouls within 30 seconds of eachother and instead he receives a stern warning by the referee, who is starting to have a busy night.
36'
OFF THE BAR! Forsberg steps up and takes the free-kick which looks like it is going to dip under the crossbar and into the top left-hand corner, but it just skims off the bar and out for a goal-kick. Ulreich barely moved and wouldn't have saved that effort,
35'
A. Vidal gets yellow.
It was a poor challenge by Vidal and he is the second Bayern player of the evening to be shown a yellow card here this evening.
PENALTY OVERTURNED! Now a free-kick is awarded after the referee consults his officials, they deem the foul took place just outside the area, much to the fury of the Leipzig players, coaches and supporters. However, this is still a very good opportunity to threaten the Bayern goal.
34'
PENALTY LEIPZIG! The referee has awarded a spot-kick to the hosts after Vidal makes a late challenge on Forsberg and gets nowhere near the ball. However, it is right on the edge of the box and the referee is going to consult is officials.
32'
Augustin fires a low shot at goal from the edge of the area after being given far too much time and space to do so. However, Ulreich gets down well and makes a comfortable save in the middle of his goal.
31'
If Leipzig can use this period of dominance to break the deadlock here, it would be massive and force Bayern to push more men forward, as they start to sit deeper and deeper to cope with the amount of pressure Leipzig are putting upon them.
28'
WHAT A CHANCE! How did he not score?! Augustin did brilliantly to find space in the box and work the opportunity, the striker than only has the keeper to beat but he appears to miss-kick his shot and Sven Ulreich manages to get a hand to it and spare Bayern's blushes. Best chance of the game for Leipzig and they now are the team on top here.
26'
STAT: Leipzig's best performance in the DFB Cup was a place in the last 16 in 2014/15. Meanwhile, Bayern have won this competition more times than any other club, 18 times.
24'
CHANCE LEIPZIG! Emil Forsberg dribbles his way past three Bayern defenders and gets all the way to the six-yard box after Bayern simply failed to stop him. Forsberg perhaps should've passed to Augustin who was square, however the winger went all the way himself and eventually had his shot at goal blocked by Boateng. Excellent play by the hosts.
22'
J. Boateng gets yellow.
Jérôme Boateng is the first player to be shown a yellow card here tonight after a blatant late foul on Jean-Kévin Augustin, as the Leipzig striker broke forward with pace on the counter-attack.
20'
Robben has seen plenty of the ball in these opening 20 minutes, with most of Bayern's play coming down that right flank with the skipper and Kimmich. Just lacking the final ball at the moment, but the visitors are certainly on top.
18'
The atmosphere is electric here inside the Red Bull Arena, with the large travelling Bayern section of supporters making their voices heard and the home fans certainly seem up for the game. They would love to record a victory over Bayern tonight.
16'
STAT: Heynckes' final game as Bayern coach before his return earlier this month came in the DFB Cup final, with a 3-2 win over Stuttgart in Berlin's Olympiastadion completing a treble.
13'
Naby Keïta is struggling to cope with Kimmich so far tonight, the midfielder has already committed a couple of fouls against the young Bayern right-back, and may need to take a step back to avoid picking up an early booking.
11'
Bayern are well on top at the moment, they are keeping it tight in defence and midfield which isn't allowing the hosts any time when they do get a touch of the ball, along with a high pressing tactic. A good start by the visitors and they look the most dangerous going forward as well.
8'
GREAT CHANCE! Bayern with the first goalscoring opportunity of the game here and it was ever so close! Robben did brilliantly on the edge of the box to slide a ball through to Robert Lewandowski, he then squares the ball across goal to Kingsley Coman, who just had a tap-in for a couple of yards out. However, Bernado does brilliantly to track back and intercept the pass, but almost puts it in his own net in the process!
6'
This is the first meeting between these two sides in the DFB Cup, and only the third ever. They meet once again on Saturday, that time in the Bundesliga.
4'
After a period of early dominance by Bayern, when they controlled possession and kept Leipzig stretched at the back. However, Leipzig have finally managed to string together a couple of passes of their own, leading to a free-kick in a good position which is eventually clear by the Bayern defence.
2'
Bayern showing with great intent here, with Joshua Kimmich storming down the right wing with pace and he wins a free-kick close to the touchline, perfect for Arjen Robben to whip the ball into the box and create any early goalscoring chance. However, Peter Gulácsi punches the ball clear.

We're underway!
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the DFB Pokal clash between RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich.
The title race is on in the Bundesliga, with Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig separated by a point. However, tonight all attention will turn to the cup competition.
Jupp Heynckes' hopes of guiding Bayern Munich to another treble will be put to the test tonight, as the German champions travel to in-form RB Leipzig in the second round of the DFB Cup.
Leipzig have a tough run of fixtures ahead of them, with Champions League commitments, which means they are in action almost three times a week. Some rotation is therefore inevitable. Kevin Kampl, Dayot Upamecano, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Marcel Halstenberg, who were all rested at the weekend - can all be expected to return.
Bayern are more used to such hectic schedules, not least under Heynckes, with whom they won a Bundesliga, DFB Cup and UEFA Champions League treble in 2013. Now Heynckes is back at the club for his fourth spell, hoping to turn around a poor start to the season for the reigning Bundesliga champions.
The experienced coach is also expected to ring the changes, starting with the injury-enforced absence of Thomas Müller, whose place is likely to be taken by James Rodriguez. Javi Martinez is a minor doubt, whilst at the back, Jerome Boateng could replace Niklas Süle.
The confirmed team news is in, here is how the two sides line-up this evening...
It will be the first meeting between the sides since Bayern's 5-4 win under Carlo Ancelotti at the end of last season, when Leipzig threw away a 4-2 lead in the final 10 minutes.
The teams are out here at the Red Bull Arena and kick-off is almost is upon us. Stay tuned for all the match action!
It’s goalless here at the Red Bull Arena but it has not been short of chances of excitement with both teams looking dangerous and creating opportunities. Leipzig grew into the game after early dominance by Bayern, the hosts thought they had a penalty but the referee overturned his decision, changing it to a free-kick which Forsberg struck the bar with. Augustin has caused a few problems for Hummels and Boateng which has forced Ulreich into making good saves. All to play for here.
