SAVE!! Another chance goes begging for Kessie, who just cannot find the back of the net, this time making a neat angled run into the box before rolling a right-footed shot across the face of goal towards the bottom left-hand corner, only for Silvestri to get quickly down to his right to keep the ball out.
86'
The intensity of this game has dropped significantly now as Donnarumma receives a few rather muted boos from the home fans as he controls a pass back towards him.
84'
Verona get three corners on the bounce but are unable to make anything of them, with Kessie eventually clearing the ball away from danger.
82'
OFF THE BAR!! Biglia very nearly makes it four, curling a wonderful 25-yard effort which dips viciously over the outstretched arm of Silvestri, but it doesn’t dip quite enough to drop under the bar.
80'
CHANCE!! Nearly a wonderful goal from Cutrone who brings the ball down on his chest just outside the box before turning towards goal and shifting the ball onto his left foot, but just as he’s about to shoot from 15 yards out Verona players converge to block the effort and prevent what would have been a special goal.
77'
Verona may be struggling to find any way back into this game, but their fans have not lost their voices and are making plenty of noise as Verde looks to instigate something in attack. He’s certainly been lively since coming on at half time but he’s not had much support.
75'
A lovely turn from Borini sees him get into space 25 yards out from goal, but he snatches at the chance horribly and slices his right-footed effort high and wide, much to his frustration.
73'
Verona make a rare foray into the Milan half as Kean and Zuculini link up with Verde down the right-hand side, but they’re unable to find any way of threading the ball into the Milan penalty area and Milan eventually regain possession through Silva. He then breaks forward at pace for Milan before Kessie wastes a golden opportunity to make it four, blasting over the bar from a tight angle just eight yards out.
71'
It looks as though Milan have switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation now as they look to see out the remaining minutes of this match, with Biglia and Kessie playing just in front of the four-man defence.
69'
Lovely work from Silva as he shows good footwork to create space ahead of himself 25 yards out from goal, only to waste all his good work with a poor pass which is easily intercepted.

A third and final change for Milan now as Lucas Biglia comes on in place of Montolivo.
65'
Bonucci picks out Calabria with a crisp pass down the right-hand side and Milan work the ball into the middle of the field towards Montolivo, who tries to play a through ball into Antonelli but doesn’t quite get it right and Verona clear.
63'
CHANCE!!! Antonelli is played clean through on goal in acres of space down the left-hand side but he can only drag his shot wide of the right-hand post despite having plenty of time to pick his spot. The flag eventually did go up for offside but Antonelli looked level so that goal may well have stood with VAR had he found the bottom corner.
61'
Milan are in no hurry to get the ball forward now and Verona are being forced to chase it as Milan knock it around at the back.
59'
F. Borini enters the game and replaces Suso.

55'
P. Cutrone has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by Suso.
Suso has been at the heart of almost everything for Milan so far and his cross for Cutrone to score was a superb one.
GOOOOOAAAALLLLLLL!!! Milan take a corner short with Bonaventura linking up with Suso, who whips in a wonderful left-footed cross from the right-hand side, and Cutrone rises highest in front of the near post to flick a header into the far corner.
53'
Verde has made a real difference since coming on but Silvestri has to be alert to keep out a powerful low drive from Rodriguez, which he fails to gather at the first time of asking but is able to get back to his feet and gather it in eventually.
52'
CLOSE!!! A huge chance for Verona to pull a goal back as Verde goes on a driving run down the left-hand side before pulling back a deflected cross which eventually finds its way to Fossati who’s arriving late into the box, but he can only fire his left-footed effort wide of the goal from 12 yards out.
47'
Close! A really bright start to the second half for Verona and it’s the substitute Verde who’s involved, cutting inside onto his left foot and curling a 20-yard effort a couple of yards wide of Donnarumma’s goal.
46'
D. Verde enters the game and replaces M. Fares.
Verona have made one change at the break, with Daniele Verde coming on to replace Mohamed Fares.
Kick-off! Referee Claudio Gavillucci blows his whistle and Verona get the second half underway.
44'
Cutrone now gets into a very similar position for Milan at the other end, and he too draws a good save from the goalkeeper, Silvestri, who turns the ball behind for a corner which he then gathers in high above his head.
43'
SAVE!! Kean gets in behind the Milan defence inside the left-hand edge of the penalty area and draws a really smart save from Donnarumma with a powerful low shot from a tight angle, although the flag then goes up so the goal would not have counted.
41'
Donnarumma is the only player inside the Milan half at the moment as the home side knock the ball about with ease inside their opponents’ half, which will be a concern for Fabio Pacchia.
39'
Milan look extremely comfortable now and there are one or two signs of frustration starting to come from the Verona fans.
37'
Chance!! Milan could and possible should be three goals up as they break forward at pace once more through Silva who has Bonaventura completely unmarked in support, 10 yards out from goal, but he chooses to go for goal himself, only to lose possession as he tries to shift the ball onto his right foot.
36'
Milan break quickly at pace down the right-hand side after sloppy play in midfield from Verona, but Franck Kessie, who’s been surprisingly quiet so far, fails to pick out a teammate having been played into space down the right-hand side of the penalty area by Suso.
32'
Milan look full of confidence now and Verona will certainly not want to go three goals down before the break.
30'
A. Romagnoli has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by André Silva.
Silva did well to control his pass back across goal as the ball dropped to him on the volley.
GOOOOAAAALLLLLL!! Milan double their lead!! Silva is involved once again, drifting away at the back post to turn Bonaventura’s deep cross back into the six yard box, where Romagnoli is waiting to turn the ball home from a couple of yards out.
29'
Cutrone breaks forward again for Milan and has Silva making a good run outside him, but he’s unable to control the ball, before Bonaventura sees his effort blocked at the back post moments later.
27'
DOUBLE SAVE!!! A wonderful double save from Silvestri keeps the score at 1-0 as he first smothers Cutrone’s close range, one-on-one effor,t before bouncing back to his feet to deny Silva from a tight angle on the follow-up.
24'
Save!! Verona are almost level immediately as the ball breaks for Zuculini at the far post and he fires a left-footed shot towards goal from 15 yards out, but Donnarumma gets down quickly to his left to keep the effort out.
22'
Suso has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by D. Calabria.
It was Davide Calabria’s pass which gave Suso the angle to whip that cross into such a difficult area for Verona to deal with.
GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! Suso gives Milan the lead!! It’s slightly fortuitous for the Spaniard as he whips in a delightful left-footed cross from the right-hand side, and it bounces all the way through without getting a touch, before nestling in the corner.
21'
Montolivo picks up the ball 35 yards out from goal with space ahead of him and decides to go for goal himself, but his well-struck shot is easy enough for Silvestri, who dives away to his left and gathers the ball in.
19'
Bonaventura brings down Souza Romulo midway through the Verona half as Gennaro Gattuso marches up and down the touchline barking instructions to his team.
17'
Suso swings in a cross from the free-kick but it’s far too close to Silvestri who catches it with ease.
16'
B. Zuculini gets yellow.
The first yellow card of the game is shown to Bruno Zuculini for a late challenge on Bonaventura. This is a good position for Milan too, who have a free-kick 30 yards out just to the left of goal.
14'
Bonaventura tries a one-two with Riccardo Montolivo moments after Silvestri had had to be alert to come off his line to punch away a dangerous in-swinging cross from the right. The one-two is intercepted but Milan are starting to threaten.
12'
Andre Silva gets his first chance to run at the Verona defence but he gets the ball rather stuck under his feet as he looks to dance his way into the box. Milan are certainly starting to grow into this game now.
10'
Close! Milan come close to taking the lead through Giacomo Bonaventura, who cuts inside onto his favoured right foot and curls a dipping effort narrowly over the bar from the left-hand corner of the penalty area.
9'
Neat interplay down the right-hand side for Verona almost sees Daniel Bessa slide the ball into Moise Kean in the Milan penalty area, but Alessio Romagnoli is well positioned to intercept the pass and cut out the danger.
7'
Very nearly an opening for Milan as Suso skips away from a couple of attempted tackles 25 yards out from goal and plays a delicate floated ball in towards Cutrone in the middle, but the ball has too much pace on it and rolls through to Marco Silvestri before the striker can reach it.
5'
Neither side has really got going so far in this game, which has started at a relatively slow pace, with neither team wanting to commit too many bodies forward at such an early stage.
3'
Patrick Cutrone wins Milan a free-kick just inside his own half but the home side choose to roll the ball across the back four and maintain possession rather than launching a long ball forward.
1'
Kick-off! Milan get the game underway.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Coppa Italia last 16 tie between AC Milan and Hellas Verona at the San Siro.
Milan secured their first win under new manager Gennaro Gattuso against Bologna on Sunday, with Giacomo Bonaventura’s brace helping them to a 2-1 win.
They do though sit seventh in the Serie A table, already 16 points adrift of leaders Inter, meaning the Coppa Italia represents their most realistic chance of winning silverware this season.
Verona meanwhile are embroiled in a relegation battle in the league, and come into the game having won just one of their last eight Serie A games, that being a 2-0 away win over Sassuolo.
They have already come through two rounds of the Coppa Italia to reach this stage though, beating Serie B side Avellino 3-1 before edging past rivals Chievo Verona on penalties in the last 32.
Gennaro Gattuso has named a strong line up for this clash with Gianluigi Donnarumma, Leonardo Bonucci and Suso among the starters, while Patrick Cutrone leads the line up front.
Team news: AC Milan (4-3-3): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Bonucci, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessie, Montolivo, Bonaventura; Suso, Cutrone, Silva
Verona manager Fabio Pacchia has also named a relatively strong starting line up, with former Manchester City midfielder Bruno Zucilini starting in midfield, although Pacchia has left top scorer Giampaolo Pazzini on the bench, opting instead for 17-year-old Moise Kean to lead the attack.
In case either side needed any extra incentive in this game, the winner will face Inter in the quarter-finals, after they scraped past a resilient Pordenone side in a penalty shootout yesterday.
The players are making their way through the tunnel and out onto the pitch. Kick-off is just moments away now.
Half-time: AC Milan 2-0 Hellas Verona
Milan lead at the break thanks to goals from Suso and Romagnoli, and they are fully deserving of their lead too having dominated possession and territory for the majority of the half.
Fabio Pacchi will be scratching his head as to how his side can get back into this game, and he may well turn to his bench sooner rather than later, while Gennaro Gattuso will be asking his side to continue where they left off at the end of the first half.
Full-time: AC Milan 3-0 Hellas Verona
AC Milan book their place in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia with a comfortable win over Hellas Verona thanks to goals from Suso, Alessio Romagnoli and Patrick Cutrone, setting up a mouth-watering clash with Inter in the process. That’s all from us for today, thanks for joining us and we hope you can join us again soon.
