Tardieu attempts to bend the free-kick towards the top-left corner but it's blocked by the wall and the full-time whistle goes. It's a clean sheet for Alves!
90' +1
There's even more drama as, with PSG having used all three substitutions, Alves is having to go in goal! There was only supposed to be one minute added on, but he'll definitely have to face this Sochaux free-kick.
90'
K. Trapp goes off after a red card!
RED CARD! Trapp has been sent off! Robinet wrestles with Meunier as they chase a long pass over the top, but the keeper rushes far outside of his box and catches the Sochaux striker after the Belgium international prodded the ball away!
88'
ANOTHER GOOD STOP! PSG could have had six or seven had it not been for Ati-Zigi. The keeper does well to push a fierce shot from Pastore behind after the midfielder danced into the box magnificently.
87'
PSG are sitting off now and allowing Sochaux to hold possession. The hosts try to force their way down the right but lose possession and the visitors set off on a counter-attack through Meunier. He lays it off to Alves, whose pass is intercepted and the move breaks down.
85'
OPTA STAT: Di Maria has been involved in more goals than any other PSG player in 2018 with nine goals and six assists. Neymar has played a role in 12 and Mbappe six.
83'
Alves tries to pick out Di Maria at the back post but the ball is headed out for a corner before it can drop for the Argentine. The set-piece ends up at the feet of Motta 20 yards out and he sends an attempt skidding wide.
81'
GREAT STRIKE! Just as I say Sochaux haven't provided a threat, Alphonse goes close to netting a stunner. The right-back unleashes a stinging hit from 25 yards that looks destined for the bottom-left corner until Trapp dives down and pushes it around the upright.
79'
Sochaux have offered very little going forward in the second half and Robinet is adjudged to have fouled Kimpembe on a rare chance to stretch his legs and chase a long ball. The hosts will just want to see this out without conceding further.
77'
SHOULD HAVE BEEN HIS FOURTH! Mbappe finds acres of space on the left and shapes a delivery to the back post with the outside of his right boot. It arrives at an awkward height for Di Maria and he can only thigh the ball wide from six yards out.
Minute
Description
75'
That would have been special! Di Maria scooped a lovely pass into a gap in the box for Pastore, but the substitute's attempt to volley it home failed to connect with the ball.
73'
J. Fuchs enters the game and replaces Y. Meïté.
T. Motta enters the game and replaces L. Diarra.
Diarra put in a solid performance on his first PSG start and he makes way for the returning Motta.
Sochaux also make a change, with Fuchs replacing Meite.
72'
OPTA STAT: Di Maria's hat-trick is not only his first for PSG, but his first in any match since he hit a treble for Benfica against Leixoes in February 2010.
71'
ATI-ZIGI AGAIN! The Sochaux keeper makes another impressive stop after Di Maria let a pass run through to Mbappe, whose powerful drive from the left side of the box was blocked by Ati-Zigi.
69'
GOOD SAVE! Pastore is straight into the heart of the action, controlling a cross on his chest before drilling a low shot that Ati-Zigi manages to keep out with his right leg.
68'
J. Pastore enters the game and replaces M. Verratti.
Dani Alves enters the game and replaces E. Cavani.
Pastore replaces Verratti and will sit alongside Diarra in midfield.
Substitution Marco Verratti Javier Matías Pastore
That will be Cavani's last contribution as he makes way for Alves. The Brazilian will play on the right wing with Mbappe pushed up top.
66'
Cavani has a chance to get a second but he snatches at the ball with his left foot and sends it bobbling across the face of goal. He turns away with a look of justifiable disgust on his face.
64'
Di Maria has his first hat-trick for PSG! The visitors are nearly caught napping, though, as Robinet puts a 25-yard attempt high of the target when given space to shoot.
62'
Á. Di María has scored a goal for PSG!
GOOOOOOOAAAALL!! DI MARIA HAS A HAT-TRICK! Cavani steps inside Ogier and releases an effort that Ati-Zigi pushes across the face of goal. Di Maria is the quickest to react and he bundles home to make it 4-1 and surely secure a spot in the quarter-finals.
61'
Cavani and Draxler attempt to carve Sochaux open with a give-and-go near the top of the box, but Ruiz steps in with an important interception.
59'
T. Robinet enters the game and replaces Y. Touzghar.
A change up top for Sochaux with Robinet coming on for Touzghar.
58'
Á. Di María has scored a goal for PSG!
GOOOOOOAAAAL!! DI MARIA GETS HIS SECOND! Verratti and Draxler combine brilliantly through the middle of the pitch, with the former feeding Di Maria as he races forward on the left. Ati-Zigi stands up but the Argentine bends a cool finish past him!
56'
Bakayoko slides a pass to the byline for Touzghar and the striker tries to sneak a shot in from an acute angle. Trapp doesn't have to move to keep it out.
55'
Meite dribbles forward and releases a shot from 20 yards that crashes into the side of Silva. He turns to claim for a penalty but the referee isn't interested. It didn't seem to go anywhere near the PSG defender's arm.
53'
Di Maria clearly spots Ati-Zigi off his line and attempts a bold shot from inside his own half. He fails to get the ball off the ground, though, and the Sochaux keeper has no trouble in keeping that one out!
52'
We are back under way and both players remain on the pitch.
51'
It looks like Kurzawa took a fist to the face as Ati-Zigi punched the free-kick clear. Silva tried to get his team-mate into the recovery position, but he appears conscious and is talking to the medical staff. Both players are now back to their feet.
49'
Ba is penalised for a tackle from behind on Verratti in which he took none of the ball. It's 40 yards out, in a central position and Di Maria floats it to the back post for Kurzawa, who collides with Ati-Zigi. The two players have stayed down here.
48'
Bakayoko's first real involvement sees him dribble in from the right and attempt to switch the play to Meite, only for Mbappe to cut out his poor pass.
46'
The second half is under way!
45' +4
There is the half-time whistle!
Verratti feeds Cavani on the edge of the box and the Uruguayan tries to dribble into the area. His touch gets away from him and Sochaux get it away.
45' +1
Sochaux push forward on the left and Bergdich has time and space to deliver a cross. Touzghar pushes Silva out from underneath it and concedes a free-kick, bringing the attack to a close.
45'
We are going to have a minimum of four added minutes at the end of the first half.
43'
A nice move from PSG ends with Cavani feeding Di Maria on the left side of the box, but the former Manchester United's man attempted cross is deflected behind by Bakayoko.
41'
OFF THE BAR! The resulting corner is flighted into the middle and Silva gets up with a header that thumps the woodwork and bounces behind! PSG are pushing for a third here. A loose touch from Cavani denies him a potential one-on-one following a quick counter-attack.
40'
GOOD SAVE! Draxler charges forward through the middle and slides a pass into the path of the electric Mbappe. He takes a touch and tries to slot the ball past Ati-Zigi, who stands up and makes an important stop.
39'
The smoke begins to lift and Ati-Zigi is told to go ahead by the referee. Visibility is gradually improving now.
37'
A short-corner routine is worked to Meunier, but his attempt is sliced high and wide. Ati-Zigi refuses to take his goal-kick due to the amount of smoke covering the pitch!
36'
We've got another stoppage now, with a flair having been thrown onto the pitch. It appears to have come from the Sochaux end as is accompanied with a banner that reads "Pay this fine".
35'
M. Verratti gets yellow.
Bakayoko has been sent on in place of Martin and the game finally gets back under way.
While the players were waiting for the action to begin again, Verratti was shown a yellow card. He must have said something to one of the officials there.
34'
A. Bakayoko enters the game and replaces F. Martin.
33'
Martin is being carried off on a stretcher. That will be a huge blow for Sochaux - not just for tonight, but potentially for their season.
31'
The referee brings play to a stop with Martin staying down on the deck after appearing to hurt his left knee when stretching to challenge Diarra.
29'
Can Sochaux launch another comeback? Having already scored they will fancy their chances of doing so again, but PSG will be keen to avoid another slip-up. They'll no doubt be keen to get another before half-time, though.
27'
E. Cavani has scored a goal for PSG!
GOOOOOOOAAAAL!! CAVANI RESTORES PSG'S ADVANTAGE! Kurzawa overlaps on the left and guides a phenomenal cross between the defence and keeper for Cavani to slide in from inside the six-yard box.
25'
Diarra is spoken to by the referee after a cynical challenge on Meite, who was set to burst into the PSG half on the break.
24'
Di Maria has a volley blocked inside the box but manages to keep the rebound in play and send a cross in. He finds Cavani but the Uruguayan's touch gets underneath him and Sochaux are able to clear the danger.
22'
Bergdich gets a talking to from the referee after a lunge from behind on Verratti led to a yelp from the Italian as he dropped to the deck. His next foul will likely result in a card.
20'
SO CLOSE! Martin sends an in-swinging corner in from the right and Alphonse rises to connect with it at the near post. The ball appears to strike his shoulder before dropping just outside the upright, but no free-kick was given so a goal would likely have been given had he hit the target!
19'
Ati-Zigi almost embarrasses himself by making a hash of an attempt to roll the ball out, holding onto it too long and simply looping it into the air. Di Maria rushes in to apply further pressure but the keeper maintains composure and beats the Argentine before clearing.
17'
HOW HAS HE NOT SCORED?! Mbappe races into the box on the right and flashes a cross through the six-yard box which Di Maria looks sure to tap in. However, the Argentine somehow fails to make a connection and the ball runs out of play. Incredible.
15'
It looked like PSG were going to cruise to a comfortable victory but Sochaux's energy has changed the complexion of this match. The visitors are looking to get a hold of possession and take a patient approach now.
13'
F. Martin has scored a goal for Sochaux!
GOOOOOOOAAAAAL!! SOCHAUX ARE LEVEL! Touzghar beats the offside trap but is forced wide by Trapp. He keeps the move alive and slips a pass to Alphonse, who barges through the weak challenge of Kurzawa. The ball loops up and Martin flicks it away from Verratti before sending a half-volley into the bottom-right corner with his second touch. Just lovely!
11'
He should do better! Touzghar gets away down the right and pulls the ball back to the top of the box for Martin. He's scored 12 goals this season and looks set to add another, but he guides his shot wide without testing Trapp.
9'
WHAT A STRIKE! Berenguer shrugs off Verratti and finds himself in space 35 yards from goal. He arrows the ball towards goal with what initially looks like an ambitious attempt, but the dip forces Trapp to jump and push it over! The keeper didn't want to risk letting that one fly in.
8'
As you'd probably expect, it's all PSG at the moment. Mbappe fires on target from 18 yards but puts his shot too close to Ati-Zigi, who drops down on top of the ball to smother it.
6'
GOOD SAVE! Draxler offloads to Di Maria on the left and this time the Argentine drills a low centre which Cavani meets at the near post. He tries to flick the ball home with his trailing leg but Ati-Zigi is positioned well to make the stop and the rebound is hacked clear.
5'
Sochaux are pressing very high but Silva, Kimpebe and Diarra are not flustered and manage to work the ball up the pitch with short passes. The hosts are clearly hoping to force a mistake.
3'
What a start for PSG. They quickly set about getting another with Mbappe surging past Tardieu and feeding Cavani. He lays it off to Di Maria and the Argentine lashes a cross-goal effort wide from just outside the box.
1'
Á. Di María has scored a goal for PSG!
Cavani gets us under way!
GOOOOOAAL!! DI MARIA GIVES PSG THE LEAD INSIDE THE FIRST MINUTE! Tardieu cedes possession in midfield and the visitors break by working the ball out to Mbappe on the right. He gets his head up and spots Di Maria, who heads home at the back post!
Hello and welcome to tonight's live commentary as Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain travel to second-tier Sochaux, with a place in the Coupe de France quarter-finals at stake!
We've already had some interesting results tonight, with Les Herbiers from the third tier comfortably eliminating Auxerre 3-0 and Marseille putting nine past Bourg-en-Bresse - Lucas Ocampos and Kostas Mitroglou both scoring hat-tricks!
Here are the full line-ups...
Back to the match at Stade Auguste-Bonal, and PSG have named a strong line-up as they bid to win the trophy for the fourth season in succession. However, there is no Neymar, who has been granted a rest after celebrating his 26th birthday on Sunday.
Sochaux substitutes: Maxence Prevot, Patrick Kapp, Sofiane Daham, Jeando Fuchs, Moussa Sao, Thomas Robinet, Axel Bakayoko.
PSG (4-3-3): Kevin Trapp; Thomas Meunier, Thiago Silva, Presnel Kimpembe, Layvin Kurzawa; Marco Verratti, Lassana Diarra, Julian Draxler; Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria.
PSG bench: Alphonse Areola, Yuri Berchiche, Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Thiago Motta, Christopher Nkunku, Javier Pastore.
Diarra is handed his first start since joining last month following substitute appearances in the Coupe de la Ligue and Ligue 1, while Motta is on the bench and hoping for just a second outing of the year. Mbappe is available again after serving a suspension and starts in a typically star-studded attack, even with Neymar absent.
PSG may not have it all their own way tonight, though. They were unable to win on either of their last two visits to Sochaux, going down 3-2 in the 2012-13 season. This is the first meeting of the sides since the hosts were relegated from the top flight the following campaign.
The teams are out on the pitch and kick-off will be upon us in just a few moments!
HALF-TIME - Sochaux 1-2 PSG: Di Maria gave the visitors the lead after just 54 seconds, but Martin brought Sochaux level with a cool finish in the 13th minute. Cavani restored PSG's advantage and matters got worse for the hosts when they lost Martin to injury. There's still plenty of life in this one yet!
That's all for tonight. Thanks for joining us!
A red card for Trapp provided drama in the closing stages - he was clearly unhappy and was seen yelling as he made his way down the tunnel. Alves replaced him for the final few seconds and didn't have a save to make.
FULL-TIME - Sochaux 1-4 PSG: An entertaining game at the Stade Auguste-Bonal comes to a close, with Unai Emery's side advancing to the Coupe de France quarter-finals largely thanks to a Di Maria hat-trick. Cavani was also on target after Martin had equalised for Sochaux, but they fell apart in the second half and will have to turn their attention back to Ligue 2.
