James Tomkins is given a yellow card for a slide tackle from behind on Andrew Surman. This gives Bournemouth one last chance from a free-kick located just outside the Palace penalty area.
Fraser takes the free-kick with a sight at goal but he sends his effort high of the target.
90' +1
The referee has indicated there will be three minutes at the end of the 90 for stoppages.
89'
J. King has scored a goal for AFC Bournemouth! Assist by S. Cook.
Steve Cook's header from a Ryan Fraser corner put King in a position to score, and Cook will, therefore, be credited with the assist.
JOSHUA KING MAKES IT ANOTHER LATE GOAL FOR BOURNEMOUTH! 2-2 at the Vitality Stadium as another one of Eddie Howe’s inspired substitutes makes their mark. Steven Cook unknowingly headered an effort towards the back of the penalty area where King was waiting, unmarked. From there, the striker just had to poke the ball home, which he did clinically. Another late goal for the Cherries who restore parity just before additional time!
85'
Townsend hits a strike which takes a wicked deflection on its way to Asmir Begovic, altering the tragectory of the ball and sending it rapidly into the top corner. The keeper does extremely well to readjust his body quickly and manages to throw a hand at the ball to keep it from looping over him and into the net.
82'
S. Francis gets yellow.
Simon Francis is shown a yellow card for pushing Ruben Loftus-Cheek over from behind.
80'
A. Surman enters the game and replaces L. Cook.
With Bournemouth down a goal, Eddie Howe makes his final substitution, bringing Andrew Surman on in place of Lewis Cook.
76'
D. Gosling gets yellow.
Dan Gosling receives a yellow card immediately after the goal for a cynical foul in midfield.
75'
W. Zaha has scored a goal for Crystal Palace! Assist by A. Townsend.
Andros Townsend receives the assist for making the pass inside the penalty area to Zaha.
ZAHA MAKES IT 2-1 PALACE! If at first, you don't succeed, try and try again. That proved the case for Zaha who receives the ball in the penalty area before shielding it which takes the striker outside the 18-yard box. With Ryan Fraser in his way, Zaha performs a perfect roulette around the tackle and sees an open net in front of him, where he sends a shot perfectly into the top corner! Begovic had no chance. The moves may have failed him all game, but when it matters most, Zaha capitalises brilliantly!
74'
Townsend sends a good cross to the far post where Zaha makes his run but the off-balance header is sent right into the hands of Begovic who himself got into a good position. Yet another opportunity goes begging in this match.
Minute
Description
71'
Andros Townsend attempts a similar shot from the same position as Zaha only a few moments ago. Both efforts end in similar fashion however, as Townsend gets nowhere near the required level of bend and dip, and his strike goes well wide of the target.
68'
Zaha receives the ball on the edge of the penalty area and tries to curl his effort into the far corner but he gets his angles all wrong and horribly skews his shot wide. It has been a poor afternoon for the winger-turned-striker as Bournemouth have done a great job marking him out of the match.
65'
L. Mousset has scored a goal for AFC Bournemouth! Assist by R. Fraser.
Ryan Fraser who has been involved all match gets awarded the assist after his pass set Mousset's strike up perfectly.
LYS MOUSSET MAKES AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT! Tomkins headers away an initial cross but the ball falls to the feet of Ryan Fraser who tees up Mousset for a shot from outside the penalty area. The winger goes for accuracy rather than power and places his shot perfectly in the bottom corner! Eddie Howe's substitution pays immediate dividends and it's now 1-1 at the Vitality!
62'
L. Mousset enters the game and replaces M. Pugh.
J. King enters the game and replaces C. Wilson.
The second change is an attacking one, as Joshua King enters the match in the place of Callum Wilson.
Eddie Howe makes a double substitution, with the first of those switches occurring in midfield. Marc Pugh has played his final part today and is replaced by Lys Mousset.
60'
The ball is sent into the penalty area looking for the head of Callum Wilson or Jermain Defoe but Hennessey is alert to the danger and makes the relatively easy catch. Defoe has been completely anonymous today after his late heroics last week - as the former England international has been kept without a single shot on target.
56'
Bournemouth have not really shown any urgency since going a goal behind and Hennessey has rarely been troubled. Surely with half an hour left to play, Eddie Howe will be thinking about making an attacking substitution to spark some life into his side.
50'
Lewis Cook takes a long-range curling effort into the bottom corner but Hennessey gets down to block the shot well. What a great save to keep it at 1-0!
47'
L. Milivojević has scored a goal for Crystal Palace!
Palace win a free-kick in a central position just outside the penalty area after Cabaye is brought down mid-shot. This is in a dangerous area for Milivojevic who is a fantastic set-piece taker.
AND MILIVOJEVIC MAKES IT 1-0 TO PALACE! A wonderful free-kick taken with dip and pace, the right-footed effort is curled wonderfully into the top corner where an outstretched Begovic is unable to get a fingertip to it.
46'
Crystal Palace get the second half underway!
45'
The referee has indicated that there will be one minute of additional time at the end of the first half.
42'
Zaha gets into a great position once again in the penalty area but executes one too many step-overs, and the ball skips off his leg before going out for a goalkick. He is extremely proficient technically, but it seems like Zaha is trying too hard to impress in this match.
40'
Townsend crosses the ball from deep in the right-hand corner but the chance ends immediately as Begovic rises highest to collect and end the Palace pressure. It has been a very poor game in front of goal, with both sides unable to trouble the opposing goalkeeper.
37'
Hennessey comes flying out of his goal to punch away a corner intended for Jermain Defoe. The ball is then collected again by the home side who are promptly called for a foul by the referee.
34'
Townsend plays Zaha through in the penalty area but Zaha's final move to get by his marker ends with a slip and a turnover of possession. The Ivory Coast forward has been a thorn in Bournemouth's side all match, but his quality in possession has been lacking.
31'
Francis fires a beautiful cross to the far post where Pugh is waiting but the marking is tight and the Bournemouth midfielder could only send his header directly upwards and over Hennessey's net.
28'
Lewis Cook and Wilfred Zaha get into a bit of a tussle at midfield after a challenge was put in on the Bournemouth midfielder. The two held each other and pushing and shoving ensued, but it looks like the referee will keep his cards in his pocket. Bournemouth have been awarded a free-kick however which is taken by Daniels and immediately repelled.
25'
Bournemouth have a corner which is taken very poorly. Fortunately for Fraser, the ricochet comes back to the player who, after evading several Palace defenders on the edge of the area, passes it to Daniels who sends it back into the box. Tomkins rises highest and gets a head to the cross, removing any danger.
22'
Crystal Palace are enjoying a spell of possession in midfield after being forced back from a throw-in. The away side lose the ball and Wilson and Defoe immediately set off towards Hennessey's goal. Defoe plays Wilson in with just the keeper to beat, but before a shot can be had, the referee blows for offside as Defoe was unable to check his run.
19'
Cook takes a corner to Daniels who was waiting just outside the penalty area. The ball falls beautifully to Daniels who hammers it with a first-time volley but the strike was always rising above Hennessey's goal. They've certainly practised that one on the training ground but a shot of that technique rarely comes off, even for those who possess the highest quality.
13'
Townsend gets into a great area on the left-hand side of the penalty area but his feathered cross goes unmet and Bournemouth can restart from the back. The build-up play from Palace was excellent there, but the finish was missing someone like Christian Benteke who feeds off of those close-range headers.
10'
Milivojevic sends a long ball for Zaha who beats his marker and controls it just to the right of the penalty area. His shifty feet get the Ivory Coast international into some trouble however, as Zaha loses control and dribbles the ball out of bounds. It was a wasted chance, but it shows the potency of Zaha in space. No doubt Palace will be looking for that pass from midfield often.
7'
Fraser hangs a high free-kick towards the back post but the ball is quickly crowded out and the weak header falls into the side netting.
6'
Pugh flashes the ball across the face of goal but Gosling is unable to direct his header towards goal and the opportunity passes. That is the second time a Bournemouth attacking player has been allowed to take up a great position in front of goal - which should worry Roy Hodgson.
3'
Bournemouth have started the match very positively - pressing Palace high up the field and looking to get the ball into Callum Wilson early to catch the defensive unit off-guard. Palace can certainly be dangerous on the counter-attack however, with Zaha and Townsend both full of pace.
1'
Bournemouth take the kick-off and get the match underway!
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of the Premier League fixture between Bournemouth and Crystal Palace from the Vitality Stadium!
Bournemouth come into this game on the cusp of safety, just three points off the 40-point mark. The Cherries have been strong at home, having won 14 of a possible 21 points from their last seven games at the Vitality Stadium (W4 D2 L1).
They have done so in gung-ho fashion, too, having both scored and conceded in 12 of their last 13 Premier League games, including the last seven in succession.
Crystal Palace enter today’s fixture needing a win to maintain the space they have already created between themselves in 17th position and the bottom three. Roy Hodgson’s side currently sit two points above Southampton in 18th, but the London club has played a game more than the Saints.
Losers of four of their previous five matches - only experiencing victory against Huddersfield Town - Palace will be eager to get back to winning ways. They have scored more goals than anybody around them with 31, and a leaky Bournemouth defence could provide a fertile hunting ground for an attack loaded with pace and trickery thanks to the likes of Zaha and Townsend.
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, the team news has been announced! Let's begin with the home side!
Bournemouth Substitutes: Andrew Surman, Josh King, Kyle Taylor, Lys Mousset, Brad Smith, Jack Simpson, Artur Boruc.
Crystal Palace Substitutes: James Daly, Jairo Riedewald, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Papa Souare, Martin Kelly, Diego Cavalieri, Lee Chung-Yong.
Crystal Palace Starting XI (4-3-3): Wayne Hennessey; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, James Tomkins, Mamadou Sakho, Patrick van Aanholt; Yohan Cabaye, Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur; Andros Townsend, Wilfred Zaha, Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Roy Hodgson makes two changes from the side that lost late to Liverpool a week ago. Martin Kelly makes way in the heart of the defence for James Tomkins who is now fit again and in attack, the injured Christian Benteke is dropped for Ruben Loftus-Cheek who will play out wide in a 4-3-3, with Wilfred Zaha playing in a central position.
It has been a first half of relatively low attacking quality, with both sides seemingly missing something in front of goal. Crystal Palace have had a couple of decent opportunities which have ended prematurely due to the overplay of Wilfred Zaha in possession. The attacker is getting into good positions quite frequently, but has been unable to use his silky skills to set himself or a team-mate up for a scoring opportunity.
HALF-TIME: Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace.
At the other end, Ryan Fraser and Marc Pugh have looked dangerous on the wings, giving good deliveries from set-pieces on several occasions.Despite that, they have been unable to get the strikers involved. On the rare occasion that Wilson and Defoe did link up, the play was blown dead for offsides. Hopefully with the influx of substitutes in the second half, we will see more attacking quality, or at least an increasingly open match where defences become stretched.
Bournemouth Starting XI (4-4-1-1): Asmir Begovic; Simon Francis, Steve Cook, Nathan Ake, Charlie Daniels; Ryan Fraser, Lewis Cook, Dan Gosling, Marc Pugh; Jermain Defoe, Callum Wilson.
Eddie Howe chooses to make three alterations from the team that snatched a late point at Watford last weekend. Marc Pugh is brought in for Junior Stanislas who will miss the rest of the season following surgery on his knee. Simon Francis replaces Jordon Ibe and in attack, Callum Wilson today will partner Jermain Defoe who equalised in style against Watford in the 92nd minute, with Josh King taking a place on the bench.
FULL-TIME: Bournemouth 2-2 Crystal Palace.
Bournemouth and Crystal Palace share the spoils after another late goal snatches the Cherries a point. Luka Milivojevic’s fantastic free-kick was cancelled out by a strike from substitute Lys Mousset. Wilfred Zaha, who had been whistled by the home support for his failed trickery all game finally got his moves to come off as a beautiful roulette took him away from a Ryan Fraser challenge and allowed him to find space to strike past Asmir Begovic. Another substitute would have the final word however, as Joshua King popped up to tap home the equaliser at the 89th minute after a headed pass from Steve Cook.
That concludes our live text commentary of the Premier League fixture between Bournemouth and Crystal Palace! We hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!
In the end, both sides will take a point in the crucial part of the season, as Bournemouth now sit a point above Watford in 11th place, having entered today level. The draw also serves Crystal Palace who now have a full three points between themselves and the relegation zone, though Southampton has played two matches less. Next up for the Cherries is a daunting fixture at Anfield against Liverpool, while Palace travel back to London to host Brighton & Hove Albion.
In a match with little quality overall in attack, it is a pleasant surprise to have seen four goals - all in the second half. The link-up play between Wilson and Defoe was uninspiring, but Eddie Howe will be pleased with the depth and impact of his bench; reserves that essentially won the home side a point. In the other dugout, Roy Hodgson can be impressed with his side’s tenacity and willingness to execute, but he should be worried at Palace’s apparent weakness from set-pieces.
