Stoke get the game underway. The home fans are making plenty of noise already.
Unfortunately for Stoke, they do not have the luxury of comfort as the Premier League approaches its conclusion. The Potters are six points adrift of safety with only 15 left to play for and anything other than a victory at the London Stadium would see them on the brink of ending their 10 consecutive season stay in the top-flight.
With relegation rivals Crystal Palace and Swansea City still to play, Stoke’s fate remains in their own hands; but they have won only six games all season, with the worst defensive record in the division after conceding 63 goals. Only Southampton and West Brom have won fewer games than the Potters and with the sides above them hitting form at the right time, it is hard to see them escaping the drop.
West Ham could complete their first double over Stoke since the Potters’ first Premier League season in 2008-09. David Moyes’ side have slowly moved away from relegation trouble in recent weeks and are six points above Southampton in 18th, but it does not mean the Hammers are out of trouble just yet.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
Stoke City XI (3-4-3): Butland; Shawcross, Zouma, Martins Indi; Bauer, Ndiaye, Allen, Pieters; Shaqiri, Diouf, Ramadan.
Stoke City substitutes: Ireland, Cameron, Fletcher, Crouch, Grant, Campbell, Sernson.
West Ham stick with the same side that salvaged a 1-1 draw against Chelsea last weekend. Marko Arnautovic will lead the line for the Hammers and Joe Hart retains his place in goal after an impressive performance against the Blues. Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini make the bench.
Kurt Zouma replaces Glen Johnson in Stoke’s only change from the side that lost 2-1 to Tottenham last weekend. Mame Biram Diouf will lead the line for the Potters with Ramadan Sobhi and Xherdan Shaqiri operating on each wing in a 3-4-3 formation.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
A defeat today could move them only four points away from relegation with Arsenal and both Manchester clubs still to play in their remaining fixtures.
It is all square at the break and neither side have done enough to suggest they can go on and win this game. Marko Arnautovic came closest to scoring in a first half devoid of attacking quality, with his near post shot hitting the face of a motionless Jack Butland. Stoke have worked hard to press and contain the home attack but they have been limited to long range efforts when they do get forward. All to play for in the second half.
HALF-TIME: WEST HAM 0-0 STOKE CITY.

The players are heading back out onto the pitch, ahead of the start of the second half.
