Wonderful run from Phillips as he beats two defenders and gets to the byline. He tries to pull it back for Rodriguez inside the box but it is cleared for a corner.

Frustrating for Liverpool so far as they struggle to create anything meaningful in attack. The Baggies are defending well and are really getting in the faces of these Liverpool players, giving them no respite.

Liverpool kick off, playing in all red. West Brom are in their home kit of white and blue stripes.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live coverage of today’s Premier League game between West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool at the Hawthorns.
West Brom defied the odds against Manchester United last weekend to claim a vital three points, but they are still nine points adrift of Swansea in 17th. That victory meant that Darren Moore has already equalled Alan Pardew’s total Premier League wins in just his second game, with Pardew winning only one of his 18 in charge.
Any hope of a last ditch escape from relegation looks unlikely for the Baggies but not altogether impossible after that win over United. As well as Liverpool today, they face Newcastle, Tottenham and Crystal Palace in their final three games and will have to win at least three of them to have any chance of staying up.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have been in terrific form after six games in all competitions without defeat, including a 5-1 aggregate Champions League victory over Manchester City to set up a semi-final tie with Roma. The Reds are four points adrift of United in second and could keep up the pressure with a win this afternoon.
Liverpool are expected to rotate their squad with one eye on the tie with Roma on Tuesday but they have the quality and firepower in their squad to cope without their strongest 11. The Reds are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League games against West Brom (four wins, five draws), and with their current form they will be strong favourites to continue that run today.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
West Bromwich Albion XI (4-4-1-1): Foster; Nyom, Dawson, Hegazi, Gibbs; Phillips, Livermore, Brunt, McClean; Rodriguez; Rondon.
Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Karius; Gomez, van Dijk, Klavan, Moreno; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Milner; Salah, Ings, Mane.
West Brom stick with the same starting 11 that beat Man United last weekend. Jay Rodriguez, who scored the winner in that game, lines up just behind Salomon Rondon, who is the sole striker for the Baggies.
Liverpool make five changes to the side that comfortably dispatched Bournemouth 3-0 last weekend. Virgil van Dijk is the only defender to retain his place in defence as Dejan Lovren, Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold all take their place on the bench in favour of Joseph Gomez, Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno. Roberto Firmino is also among the substitutes, with Danny Ings taking his place alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in a three man attack. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is replaced by James Milner in midfield.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
Liverpool substitutes: Lovren, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Robertson, Solanke, Alexander-Arnold.
HALF-TIME: WEST BROM 0-1 LIVERPOOL.
Liverpool lead at the break after Danny Ings scored his first goal for 930 days after good work on the left wing by Sadio Mane. West Brom have put in a battling display throughout despite the early setback and Jay Rodriguez was inches away from getting on the end of James McClean's pass to equalise. Ings had two chances at the other end to increase Liverpool's lead but headed over the bar when unmarked before firing a low shot at Ben Foster when one on one.
FULL-TIME: WEST BROM 2-2 LIVERPOOL.
West Brom battle back from two goals down to snatch what might prove to be a vital point against Liverpool. Salah had doubled Liverpool's lead with a chipped effort after Ings' had opened the scoring early in the first half. The Baggies never looked defeated though and took the game to Liverpool, pulling a goal back through Livermore's close range volley before a bullet header by Rondon from Brunt's free kick levelled matters. West Brom ended the half strongly as they pushed for all three points but could not find the winner. The result means the Baggies are eight points behind Swansea, although the Welsh club have two games in hand.
