Watford are still pressing for a consolation - Carrillo testing Lloris with a low drive to the near post. Deulofeu gets onto the rebound, but Tottenham's goalkeeper reacts sharply to make the stop.
90' +2
OVER! Trippier’s poor header falls straight to Deeney, but the Hornets’ skipper can only volley his effort way over the bar.
90' +1
There will be a minimum of six minutes added on at Wembley - most likely due to the amount of changes and the time taken to treat Richarlison.
90'
MISS! Sissoko gets one-on-one with Watford’s goalkeeper but, from a tight angle, can only thrash his effort over the bar.
88'
Kane is desperate to catch Liverpool’s Salah in the race for the Golden Boot, but he won’t do it like that - the England man has just hammered a wild shot from range well off target.
86'
Another impressive display for Watford this evening has come from Doucoure, with the former Rennes man having done well up against Tottenham’s powerful midfield. The Frenchman has had a fantastic season, and could well be in line for a move away from Vicarage Road in the upcoming transfer window.
83'
A. Carrillo enters the game and replaces W. Hughes.
A final change for Watford. Will Hughes has had an impressive game, but he will now make way for Andre Carrillo.
82'
É. Lamela enters the game and replaces D. Alli.
A third substitution from Pochettino, who decides that Dele Alli's race has been run. Tottenham's first goalscorer is replaced by Erik Lamela.
80'
Richarlison is indeed back on, but that stoppage in play has allowed Tottenham to regroup, stemming the momentum that Watford had built up since Deeney and Deulofeu were introduced.
78'
Richarlison is back to his feet and, after he gets patched up by the physios, will probably continue.
Minute
Description
76'
Immediate concern from both benches, following a clash of heads between Trippier and Richarlison. Tottenham’s defender is back to his feet and seems okay to carry on, but Richarlison is having to receive further treatment.
75'
A second change for Tottenham. Son Heung-Min is off, with Moussa Sissoko coming on.
74'
M. Sissoko enters the game and replaces Son Heung-Min.
OFFSIDE! Now it’s Kane’s turn to lament the linesman’s flag! Vertonghen - having made a fantastic run forward - slips through a great pass from which Kane curls in a wonderful first-time finish, but the Tottenham striker had strayed past the last defender.
73'
Those changes have certainly pushed Watford forward somewhat, with Deulofeu playing alongside Deeney in a two-man attack. The visitors are running out of time to salvage anything from this game, though.
71'
Deulofeu has put the ball in the back of the net, but the goal will not count! It was a great run and finish from the Barca loanee, who raced clear of Tottenham’s line to get on the end of Doucoure’s pass, but the linesman’s flag was up. It was very, very tight!
69'
MISS! Great work from Deeney, who nudges Holebas’ cross down into the centre of the area. Richarlison is there to meet it, but swings wildly at his half-volley, lashing the ball over.
67'
Clever play from Deulofeu down the left, with the winger having already injected some pace and invention into Watford’s attack. The Spaniard works the ball inside to Deeney, who tries to drive into the area only to lose out to Tottenham’s defence. Hughes was on hand to help his captain, but Deeney elected not to use him.
65'
Watford's second change sees Andre Gray replaced by club captain Troy Deeney.
64'
Deulofeu enters the game and replaces Kiko Femenía.
V. Wanyama gets yellow.
T. Deeney enters the game and replaces A. Gray.
And there will be a double change for Watford. First, Kiko Femenia makes way for Gerard Deulofeu, who today hit out at his parent club Barcelona for not including his name on a shirt celebrating their LaLiga title victory.
An immediate impact from Wanyama, although not the one Pochettino would have foreseen - the Kenya midfielder picking up a caution within a minute of coming on.
63'
V. Wanyama enters the game and replaces M. Dembélé.
Here is that change. Mousa Dembele is making way, with Victor Wanyama coming on in place of the Belgian.
62'
Alli is not happy, with the referee having called play back for a foul on the Tottenham man, despite the hosts having been in a good position to take advantage. Before the free-kick can be taken, though, Tottenham look set to make a change, with Dembele struggling.
60'
After that flurry of activity following the goal, Tottenham have just stepped off the gas slightly, allowing Watford to edge forward. Richarlison breezes past Trippier down the left and delivers a decent cross, but Dier is back to clear.
55'
Holebas makes a woeful attempt at blocking Trippier’s cross, and it’s only a last-ditch clearance from Kabasele that prevents Kane getting on the end of it six yards out.
54'
Watford have not scored an away goal for almost 10 hours of Premier League football, and only one per-cent of the play in this half has been in Tottenham’s defensive third.
53'
Kane is now four goals behind the Premier League’s leading scorer, and the England man will see this as a real opportunity to close that gap further now, with Watford looking well beat.
51'
Trippier’s cross for Kane’s 27th Premier League goal really was excellent. It had enough power on it to allow Kane to simply put his foot to the ball and direct a neat finish into the bottom-left corner.
50'
And, with that goal, the crowd have been sparked back into life and there is suddenly much more zip to Tottenham’s play.
48'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by K. Trippier.
Tottenham - and, in truth, the Wembley crowd - have been unusually flat so far, but Pochettino will at least be buoyed by the fact that his side do lead, and will likely be able to cruise to victory should they quicken their play up and grab another goal.
AND THERE IS THE GOAL! No mistake from Kane, as - after initially missing Son’s cross - he gets back up off the turf to cushion in Trippier’s pinpoint cut-back.
Tottenham quickened their play up ever so slightly, and although Kane could not latch onto Son’s initial delivery, Trippier was on hand to keep the move alive.
46'
We're back up and running at Wembley!
45' +1
There will be one minute of stoppage time...
43'
CHANCE! Richarlison races through on goal, but his low shot can’t beat Lloris. Moments later, Tottenham’s goalkeeper is in action again, rushing out to prevent Doucoure getting on the end of Hughes’ pass.
41'
Watford are stepping it up a gear at the moment, although that could play into Tottenham’s hands, should the visitors leave too much space at the back.
38'
Great work from Trippier once again, as Tottenham’s right-back finds enough space to whip in an inviting cross, which Mariappa has to force wide. Dier goes close from the resulting corner, but Watford’s defence manage to clear at the second attempt.
36'
Brilliant from Hughes, who combines with Doucoure to put the Frenchman into the area. Doucoure does well to get the ball out from under his feet and hammer a low effort goalwards, but Lloris reacts to make the stop.
31'
Eriksen is given far too much time and space to run in from the left and unleash a strike. This time, though, the former Ajax star can’t keep his shot down, and the ball sails into the crowd.
30'
No penalty! Son goes down under pressure from Doucoure in the area, but Michael Oliver dismisses Tottenham’s appeals for a spot kick.
28'
Trippier still looks to be struggling slightly from that earlier knock, but still manages to get high upfield to latch onto a long ball from deep. Kane is waiting in the area, but this time the full-back can only skew his cross out of play. Moments later, Son attacks down the opposite flank, but Cathcart does well intervene.
26'
CHANCE! Out of nowhere, Watford are very nearly level! A slack pass from Dier hands possession back to former Tottenham man Capoue, who threads a neat throughball into Gray. The former Burnley man prods a first-time effort at goal, but Lloris gets down to make a fine save.
21'
Eriksen and Alli link up again, this time to tee up Dier 25 yards put. The midfielder goes for goal, but puts far too much power on his strike, which sails over.
20'
A brief pause as Trippier receives treatment following a challenge from Holebas, who caught the former Burnley man on the top of the boot.
18'
For all Tottenham’s possession, they hadn’t really kicked into gear, and that was a real gift for Alli, who has been on a fine run of form in front of goal in the last few weeks.
16'
D. Alli has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by C. Eriksen.
GOAL! What a dreadful mistake from Karnezis! The Watford goalkeeper makes a complete mess of taking in Trippier’s cross, and Eriksen duly pounces, prodding the ball into Alli, who keeps his cool to slot home.
Trippier’s cross was a good one, but Karnezis should have collected it easily. As it was, the Greece goalkeeper dropped the ball straight at Eriksen’s feet, and the Dane quickly picked out Alli, who made no mistake with the finish.
15'
Half a chance for Femenia, as Watford’s full-back - playing in an advanced role down the right today - latches onto a perfectly weighted diagonal from Richarlison. Just as he looked set to drive at goal, however, the Spaniard gets his touch all wrong.
12'
That could have changed then, however! Capoue’s mistake allows Alli to charge forward. The midfielder’s square ball puts Kane on the back foot however, and that enables Watford’s defence to scramble it clear.
11'
A dominant start from Tottenham, although bar Dier’s effort, the hosts haven’t really managed to test Watford’s defence as of yet.
9'
Tottenham go short from a corner on the left - Dembele drifting clear of his marker before delivering a clever cross to the near post. Dier is there to meet it, but can’t turn his header on target.
6'
Poor defending from Kabasele - who completely missed Trippier’s cross - almost allows Alli to latch on, but Cathcart got across to cover. Moments later, the Belgian defender redeems himself with a good block from Eriksen's effort.
4'
Son does well to cut inside from the left and pick out Kane, who manages to set himself and arrow a low strike through a crowd of players. The England striker didn’t generate any real power on his effort, though, and Karnezis makes a simple stop.
3'
While Tottenham have had a bruising few weeks, losing their last two games at Wembley - against Manchester City in the league and United in the cup respectively - they do remain in pole position for the Champions League. Watford, though have very little to play for. The Hornets started brilliantly under Marco Silva, but since his sacking, have failed to find any consistency.
1'
Watford have got proceedings up and running at Wembley. The visitors immediately move it forward, with Hughes picking up the loose ball and driving a low shot at goal, but Lloris is able to watch it pass wide.
Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Watford at Wembley.
Watford, on the other hand, sit 13th, having failed to win in their last six league outings, failing to score in four of those fixtures.
Chelsea’s victory over Swansea City has moved the Blues to within two points of fourth-placed Tottenham, who are looking to bounce back from their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side need a win to consolidate their place in the Champions League places.
Watford (4-2-3-1): Orestis Karnezis; Adrian Mariappa, Christian Kabasele, Craig Cathcart, Jose Holebas; Etienne Capoue, Abdoulaye Doucoure; Kiko Femenia, Will Hughes, Richarlison; Andre Gray.
Tottenham substitutes: Toby Alderweireld, Erik Lamela, Victor Wanyama, Michel Vorm, Moussa Sissoko, Serge Aurier, Lucas Moura.
Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris; Kieran Trippier, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies; Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele; Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min; Harry Kane.
Watford substitutes: Heurelho Gomes, Daryl Janmaat, Miguel Britos, Gerard Deulofeu, Troy Deeney, Jerome Sinclair, Andre Carrillo.
No major surprises from Pochettino, who sticks with the side that has started the majority of Tottenham’s games in recent weeks. Javi Gracia, meanwhile, has named three changes to the side that started in Watford’s draw with Crystal Palace.
HALF-TIME: Tottenham 1 Watford 0.
All in all, a rather indifferent display from Tottenham so far, but Pochettino’s side nevertheless take a lead into the interval. They have Watford goalkeeper Karnezis to thank, his calamitous error giving Alli the chance to slot in the opener.
Watford can consider themselves unfortunate not to have restored parity, however. The Hornets have been far from at their best themselves, but have created a batch of decent chances - Lloris having to be alert to maintain Tottenham’s lead.
FULL TIME: Tottenham 2 Watford 0.
Ultimately, it’s a comfortable victory for Tottenham, who have taken a giant step towards securing Champions League qualification for next season. It was unconvincing at times from Pochettino’s side, but goals either side of half-time from Alli and Kane have done the damage.
Watford lacked quality, but did put in a spirited display in fits and starts - Richarlison guilty of a terrible miss in the second half, while substitute Deulofeu was unfortunate to have a goal ruled out.
That's all from me for now. Until next time, thank you and goodbye!
