A weak penalty appeal by Southampton. Stephens picks out Ings, who gets the first touch in front of Mee and he goes down under pressure from the defender. The referee waves away his appeals.

Just a couple minutes remain now, can either side steal all three points late on?
90'
There will be a minimum of five minutes added time played here.

Another Southampton chance! Gabbiadini gets his head to the ball at the far post after a deep cross into the box from the left. Mee manages to clear the ball, but Saints are getting closer.
87'
C. Taylor enters the game and replaces J. Guðmundsson.
Final Burnley change of the game, with Gudmundsson heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by Taylor.
86'
SAINTS CHANCE! Elyounoussi finds the ball at his feet inside the penalty area after a good pass by Ings. However, Tarkowski reads the danger superbly and gets across to make a last-ditch block. Ings heads the resulting corner over the crossbar.
84'
Ings has looked sharp since coming on for the Saints, he is involved in everything in attack and getting into good positions in the box but the ball just isn't falling for him. Southampton have been second best for much of the game in an attacking sense.
82'
Barnes tries his luck from around 30 yards out, but it's not troubling McCarthy who makes an easy save. Both teams are running out of time.
80'
Can either team break the deadlock in the final 10 minutes? Burnley are dominating possession at the moment, but they are struggling to carve out any goal scoring chances, they may come to rue those excellent opportunities in the opening half, when they were denied by McCarthy.

76'
A. Barnes enters the game and replaces J. Hendrick.
Another Burnley substitution sees Hendrick replaced by Barnes.
75'
We have a stoppage in play here at the moment as Vestergaard is down with a head injury, following an aerial clash with Vokes.
73'
S. Vokes enters the game and replaces C. Wood.
Burnley make their first substitution of the game, it's a straight swap with Vokes replacing Wood up front.
Hart makes another decent save from the resulting corner! Lemina got his head to the ball and tried to direct it towards the bottom corner, but Hart read it well and makes a comfortable save.
72'
M. Gabbiadini enters the game and replaces C. Austin.
Here is the Saints final change of the afternoon, with Austin making way for Gabbiadini.
GOOD SAVE! Hart is called into action, as Stephens finds space at the far post and fires a first-time effort at goal from just a couple of yards out. Hart had to get down quickly to make the save, pushing it round the post and out for a Saints corner.
70'
Southampton look set to make their final change of the afternoon, with Gabbiadini receiving instructions on the sidelines. Still no signs of any Burnley changes.
68'
Southampton look far more dangerous now they have two strikers on the pitch. They are playing more direct football and it is starting to cause the Burnley defence problems, Ings with his pace and Austin with his aerial ability.
66'
It will be interesting to see if Sean Dyche continues to go for the win here, or if he will decide to rest a few of his players ahead of their Europa League game on Thursday.
62'
The game is being played at a frantic pace at the moment, both sides are really going for it and this is stretching both teams at the back when they counter.
60'
CLOSE! Mee almost scores an own goal! Saints had a corner which was beautifully delivered by Elyounoussi. Mee sensed the danger behind him and got his head on the ball, but it almost went straight into the top right-hand corner of the net! Luckily for the Clarets skipper, Westwood was well positioned on the line and rose high to head the ball away.
58'
Southampton appear to have reverted to a 4-4-2 formation now after those changes, with Stephens moving out to right-back and Ings partnering Austin up front.
56'
D. Ings enters the game and replaces S. Armstrong.
M. Elyounoussi enters the game and replaces Cédric Soares.
Southampton have made a double substitution, with Armstrong coming off and on in his place is new signing, Danny Ings. Can he get a goal on his debut?
Cedric is the other man coming off for the Saints, he has also been replaced by another new arrival at St Mary's, Mohamed Elyounoussi.
51'
McCarthy is keeping Southampton in this game. Burnley have a corner, which initially appears to come to nothing but the ball eventually breaks for Ward on the edge of the area, however his shot is straight at the Saints keeper.
49'
BURNLEY CHANCE! Gudmundsson with a terrific opportunity to give Burnley the lead from close range. Lowton played a deep ball towards Wood, but Vestergaard pulls off a brilliant interception to stop Wood from finishing from just a couple of yards out. However, the rebound then falls perfectly to Gudmundsson who looks certain to score, but Hoedt manages to make a block at the last second.
48'
Burnley have started this second half the better team, they are keeping the ball nicely inside the Saints half of the pitch, forcing the home side to defend.
46'
The second half is underway!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: SOUTHAMPTON 0-0 BURNLEY
45' +1
GREAT CHANCE! Burnley go close to taking the lead right at the end of the half! It all comes from a corner, which goes deep towards Mee, who manages to acrobatically keep the ball alive. It then falls perfectly to Tarkowski who only has McCarthy to beat, but the Saints keeper makes another great save with his legs, to stop the defender from close range.
45'
There will be a minimum of one minute added time played.
44'
CLOSE! Another quick counter by the Saints, with Armstrong whipping a deep ball towards Austin at the far post. However, it's got slightly too much pace on it and Austin narrowly misses out on making contact with it.
40'
Not long until the half-time whistle now, can either side break the deadlock before the break? Southampton have certainly improved as the game as gone on, but they are lacking an attacking threat.
38'
Redmond then races away on the counter-attack and finds Austin, but Westwood gets back to make the block. A good, quick counter by the Saints.
36'
Vestergaard fouls Wood down the left, which gives Gudmundsson a good opportunity to whip a ball deep into the Saints penalty area. However, McCarthy commands his penalty area well and punches the ball away from danger.
34'
Redmond and Bertrand are starting to cause Lowton a few problems down the left, as they are linking up well and most of the Saints crosses into the box are coming from that side. The Burnley right-back may need Lennon to drop a bit deeper and help out defensively to combat that threat.
32'
Austin has been very isolated up front for Southampton so far, he hasn't had many touches on the ball and barely any of those have come near the Burnley goal. The Clarets defence will be keen to keep it that way for as long as possible.
28'
It's still goalless here at St Mary's as we approach the half hour mark, but Sean Dyche will certainly be the happier of the two managers.
26'
This is much better from Southampton, although they aren't creating any goalscoring chances, they are managing to keep hold of the ball better and force Burnley back into their own half for once. They need to pick up the pace of their play though, as it's all very comfortable at the back for the visitors.
24'
The home supporters are doing their best to get behind their team and push them forward, as they have spent a lot of time defending inside their own half so far.
22'
It's still the visitors who look more dangerous going forward. Once again, Ward gets forward down the left, this time he cuts inside and plays the ball back towards the edge of the area, where Westwood was waiting and he fires an effort at goal, which takes a deflection and goes wide.
20'
Good Burnley counter-attack! The visitors broke forward with pace and opened up the Saints defence. Cork sprinted forward into the Southampton half, he then looked up and crossed to Gudmundsson, who cut inside and fired a shot goalwards, but Vestergaard got back and made a vital block.
15'
J. Cork gets yellow.
Cork is shown the first yellow card of the game, after his tug on Lemina.
13'
Another Burnley chance! Gudmundsson wins a free-kick for his side 25 yards out, a good position to fire an effort at goal. The winger steps up to take the set piece, but he gets slightly too much on the shot and it flies just over the crossbar.
11'
BURNLEY CHANCE! The Clarets with the best opportunity of the game, coming very close to opening the scoring! Vestergaard and Hoedt get into a muddle right on the edge of their own box, with the latter of the two heading the ball straight into the path of Lennon who was making a run in-behind the Saints defence. The winger fires the ball towards goal, but McCarthy was quick off his line and makes a superb save.
9'
Southampton are struggling to get out of their own half at the moment and Mark Hughes does not look happy on the sidelines. Burnley have been the better team by far in these opening minutes of the game.
7'
Goal disallowed! Burnley have the ball in the back of the net, after a fine finish from Cork deep inside the Saints penalty area, following a lovely ball into his path by Westwood. However, the linesman has his flag up for offside and it is ruled out. It looked a very tight call.
5'
Ward is getting forward at every opportunity down the left for Burnley and he wins the first corner of the game, as his cross takes a deflection and goes out of play. Burnley take it short, with the ball eventually played off to Lowton around 40 yards out, who fires an effort at goal but it goes high and wide. Terrible effort!
4'
The Clarets continue to enjoy the early possession here, they are playing it nicely around the Saints half of the pitch and the home side are having to do some early defending.
2'
Decent chance for Burnley! Wood with the first opportunity of the game early on for the visitors. Burnley got the game underway and kept the ball well, working it out to the left, with Ward whipping a good cross into the box which was met by Wood. However, his header didn't have enough power behind it and McCarthy comfortably gathered.
1'
We're underway!
However they did manage to sign another striker during the transfer window, with Danny Ings joining from Liverpool on deadline day. The striker struggled for game time at Anfield after a tough couple of seasons with injury, but Southampton will be hoping he can get back on track for them.

Good afternoon and welcome to our live match commentary of the Premier League clash between Southampton and Burnley at St Mary's.
Mark Hughes will be hoping his side can get off to a good start this afternoon, after narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League last season. The Saints struggled for goals in the previous campaign, as Charlie Austin spent a lot of time on the sidelines with injuries, whilst Shane Long endured a tough season in front of goal, scoring just two league goals.
The team news for both sides is very similar to those we saw last season, with not many changes made by either manager. Alex McCarthy remains in goal for the Saints, with new signing Angus Gunn on the bench, as is Danny Ings. However, Stuart Armstrong and Jannik Vestergaard are handed full debuts. Meanwhile Sean Dyche has decided to stick with Joe Hart in goal, ahead of Tom Heaton who has recently recovered from a calf injury.
Burnley have managed to add the talents of Joe Hart, Ben Gibson and Matej Vydra during the summer transfer window, whilst keeping hold of their key players and they will hope to equal last seasons record-breaking campaign.
The Clarets already have a few competitive games under their belt, after qualifying for the Europa League last season. They drew 0-0 with Istanbul Basaksehir on Thursday in Turkey in their third round qualifying first-leg tie.
The teams are out here at St Mary's and kick-off is just moments away. Stay tuned for all of the match action!
It's all square at the break at St Mary's, but Burnley have certainly had the better chances to take the lead. McCarthy has made a couple of superb saves to deny Lennon and Tarkowski during the first-half, as the Clarets created more opportunities than their opponents.
Southampton grew into the game after a poor opening 15 minutes when they were forced into a lot of defending deep inside their own half by Burnley. However, despite their improvement, they haven't really tested Hart in the Burnley goal and it's been pretty comfortable for the Clarets at the back, with Austin struggling to get on the ball in dangerous areas.
It all ends goalless at St Mary's between Southampton and Burnley, but it's perhaps the visitors who will be more disappointed with just a point, after the Clarets had numerous chances to score in the first half. However, Saints grew into the match and managed to test Hart late on, but they couldn't find the breakthrough.
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
Burnley will now turn their attentions to the Europa League on Thursday, they have a tough game ahead of them after the first-leg finished 0-0. Meanwhile next up for the Saints is a trip to Goodison Park next Saturday to face Everton.
