We're underway at San Siro.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Serie A contest between Inter and Parma at San Siro.
Inter have bounced back from two defeats on the bounce by recording back-to-back victories over Sassuolo and Borussia Dortmund. Juventus' draw against Lecce earlier today will allow Antonio Conte's men to surpass the Bianconeri at the top of the table. Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Antonio Candreva guided them past Dortmund during the week and they will be looking for the same clinical edge this afternoon.
Parma come into the contest with momentum having hammered Genoa 5-1 in their last outing. They needed a response after a poor defeat to SPAL on the road and it was emphatic as a hat-trick from Andreas Cornelius along with strikes from Juraj Kucka and Dejan Kulusevski delivered the three points. However, they will need to be flawless this afternoon to earn a positive result on the road.
INTER (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Diego Godin, Alessandro Bastoni; Antonio Candreva, Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, Cristiano Biraghi; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
INTER SUBS: Stefan de Vrij, Andrea Ranocchia, Matteo Politano, Kwadwo Asamoah, Valentino Lazaro, Borja Valero, Federico Dimarco, Daniele Padelli, Sebastiano Esposito, Tommaso Berni.
Parma have been excellent bar one blip where they failed to clear their lines from a corner that allowed Candreva to score. They've been clinical on the counter, making the most out of two clear-cut opportunities. Roberto D'Aversa's men must continue to be ruthless in both boxes to see out the victory.
Inter are next in action during the week on Tuesday on the road to Brescia, while Parma host Hellas Verona on the same day.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
