Nwoko gets the game under way for Malta!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Euro 2020 Group F qualifier between Spain and Malta at Estadio Ramon de Carranza!
SPAIN STARTING XI (4-3-3): Pau Lopez; Jesus Navas, Raul Albiol, Sergio Ramos, Juan Bernat; Thiago, Rodrigo, Santi Cazorla; Gerard Moreno, Alvaro Morata, Pablo Sarabia.
SPAIN SUBS: David de Gea, Dani Olmo, Fabian Ruiz, Mikel Oyarzabal, Saul Niguez, Paco Alcacer, Pau Torres, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Sergio Busquets, Dani Carvajal, Inigo Martinez, Jose Gaya.
MALTA STARTING XI (5-4-1): Henry Bonello; Juan Corbalan, Jonathan Caruana, Andrei Agius, Zach Muscat, Jurgen Pisani; Brandon Paiber, Dunstan Vella, Rowen Muscat, Joseph Mbong; Kyrian Nwoko.
Spain secured their places at the European Championship last time out when a last-minute goal from Rodrigo earned them a 1-1 draw with Sweden. They're unbeaten so far in their qualifying campaign, winning six and drawing two of their games, and can secure their place as group winners. Malta sit at the bottom of the group, having only won their first qualifier (2-1 v Faroe Islands) and lost the seven games since.
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.
Malta haven't had a single shot in the first half and have barely been able to get a touch on the ball for large parts of the game. Their passing was sloppy when they did get the ball and they need to keep possession better instead of inviting more pressure from Spain. As for Moreno's side, they've created some great opportunities in front of goal and could have had more. He'll want to see more of the same from his side when they come out for the second half.
MALTA SUBS: Joseph Zerafa, Karl Micallef, Alfred Effiong, Justin Haber, Nikolai Muscat, Rashed Al-Tumi, Michael Mifsud, Paul Fenech, Luke Gambin, Jake Grech, Triston Caruana.
That's all for today, goodbye!
Spain had already qualified for the Euros, but this means they go through as the winners of their group. Their final game of the campaign is against Romania on Monday. Malta stay at the bottom of the table, but Farrugia will be hoping they can finish on a positive when they face Norway in their last qualifier.
