Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of the Premier League fixture between Wolves and Sheffield United, today being contested at Molineux.
Nuno Espirito Santos’ men face off against Chris Wilder’s side. Both teams come into this fixture unbeaten in the Premier League since September with Wolves last loss coming against Chelsea in a 5 – 2 home defeat and Sheffield United’s last defeat being a 1 – 0 loss to Liverpool back in late September. A victory today for either side will see the winner leapfrog over Spurs, and end the day in fifth place, dependant on results elsewhere in the league.
Wolves XI (3-4-3): Rui Patricio, Connor Coady, Max Kilman, Leander Dendoncker, Jonny, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Matt Doherty, Diogo Jota, Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore.
The game is certainly being played with spells of excitement rather than being end to end. Wolves may look to make changes early on into the second half, because of their fixture against Braga on Thursday. They could look to expose Stevens, who is having trouble marking Traore with his physical build and energetic pace. A long way to go in this one!
With a point for both sides today, Wolves stay in sixth place and Sheffield United stay in seventh place, both missing the chance to close the gap between themselves and fourth placed Chelsea. In terms of their next fixtures, Wolves will be facing off against West Ham at Molineux on Wednesday, while Sheffield United also find themselves playing at home, but against Newcastle on Thursday.
That's all for today's commentary. Thank you for joining us for this Premier League fixture between Wolves and Sheffield United, we hope to see you again soon!
