Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Southampton at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace are holding firm in the top half of the Premier League table after salvaging a 2-2 draw late on against Manchester City last time out. Roy Hodgson's men have drawn their last four games in a row now. With loan signing Tosun up front, hard-to-beat Palace could well start turning those draws into wins.
Palace's opponents here are Southampton, whose 3-2 loss to Wolves last time out brought them back down to earth after their strong recent run. Ralph Hasenhuttl's team have won a higher proportion of their points on the road than any other Premier League side this season. Can the Saints make it four away wins in a row in the league?
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-5-1): Vicente Guaita; Martin Kelly, James Tomkins (c), Gary Cahill, Jairo Riedewald; Jordan Ayew, Cheikhou Kouyate, James McArthur, James McCarthy, Wilfried Zaha; Cenk Tosun.
SUBS: Joel Ward, Wayne Hennessey, Connor Wickham, Giovanni McGregor, Scott Dann, Max Meyer, Brandon Pierrick.
SOUTHAMPTON (4-4-2): Alex McCarthy; Cedric Soares, Jannik Vestergaard, Jack Stephens, Ryan Bertrand; Stuart Armstrong, James Ward-Prowse, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (c), Nathan Redmond; Shane Long, Michael Obafemi.
SUBS: Danny Ings, Maya Yoshida, Angus Gunn, Oriol Romeu, Moussa Djenepo, Che Adams, Sofiane Boufal.
The two sides are out on the pitch at a rocking Selhurst Park. Palace will play in their traditional red and blue striped home kit; Southampton are in their grey and volt yellow away kit. Let's do this!
Palace's main limitation - in this game and in general - is their lack of goal threat. Tosun's effort was their only shot in that first half. Palace will have to be more proactive in the second half if they want to get anything from this.
Southampton's win lifts them to 9th in the Premier League table on 31 points, just two points behind Sheffield United. Relegation seems a distant prospect for them now. Palace drop just below them into 10th. Palace haven't won in five games now - they need one soon if they want to stay out of trouble.
Southampton now face Tottenham in FA Cup duty at the weekend before they play Liverpool at St. Mary's in their next league match. They'll fancy their chances there. Palace are out of the cup but have plenty of time to prepare for their next game against Sheffield Utd. That's another tricky home game. That's all for now. Goodbye!
