We're underway here at Red Bull Arena.
Hello and welcome to the live text commentary for the Champions League clash between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid at Red Bull Arena.
Leipzig come into this one placed second in Champions League Group F. They've taken six points from their opening four fixtures and are currently one clear of third-placed Shakhtar Donetsk. Given Madrid already have ten to their name, it appears that it's going to be a toe-to-toe battle between Leipzig and Shakhtar for that coveted second place.
Madrid are flying high, four points clear of Leipzig with just two games to be played. If they can secure a point in Germany it means that first place - and the favourable draw that comes with that - is guaranteed. Given the confidence coursing through their veins right now, that should be a feasible task for the men from the Spanish capital.
Leipzig have made one change from the side that beat Celtic 2-0 last matchday. Forsberg has come in to replace Werner on the left of their attacking trident.
Madrid have made five changes from the side that drew 1-1 at Shakhtar last matchday. Courtois has replaced Lunin in goal, Militao has come in for Mendy in defence, Camavinga has taken the place of Valverde in midfield while Asensio and Vinicius start in attack at the expense of Benzema and Hazard.
Madrid have seen the majority of the ball but it's Leipzig who've done the most with it - they've been daring and incisive in possession. The visitors will draw strength from the manner in which they fought their way back into the game, however, and will smell blood the deeper it goes. They are, after all, the kings of late drama in European competition.
The result means that Leipzig are now just a point behind Madrid heading into the final game of the group phase. Top place is technically still up for grabs, but given Madrid have the edge on Leipzig in the head-to-head that would take the Spanish side losing to Celtic and the German outfit beating Shakhtar. Still, it makes for an interesting final day.
That's all for the live text commentary of this match. Until next time, goodbye.
