We're under way in this World Cup quarter-final clash.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the World Cup quarter-final clash between Croatia and Brazil at the Education City Stadium.
Croatia are aiming to reach the semi-final stage for the second tournament in a row. Zlatko Dalic's men had to battle past Japan on penalties in the round of 16. Ivan Perisic scored a vital header to equalise in normal time, cancelling out Daizen Maeda's opener. Neither team could find the net again, forcing the lottery of penalties. Dominik Livakovic was the hero in the shootout for Croatia saving three penalties to allow his team to advance to the quarter-finals. However, the challenge today is huge and they will need to be at their best.
Brazil put on a clinic of attacking football in their round-of-16 clash against South Korea, scoring four goals in 36 minutes to effectively win the game in the first half. The Selecao were irresistible in the final third and marched into the quarter-finals with the quality of their performance in the opening 45 minutes. Tite's men can not expect the same approach from Croatia and will have to be prepared to carve out their opportunities. They were knocked at this stage four years ago by Belgium so they must be on their guard.
CROATIA (4-3-3): Dominik Livakovic; Josip Juranovic, Dejan Lovren, Josko Gvardiol, Borna Sosa; Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic, Mateo Kovacic; Mario Pasalic, Andrej Kramaric, Ivan Perisic.

BRAZIL (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Eder Miltao, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Danilo; Lucas Paqueta, Casemiro; Raphinha, Neymar, Vinicius Junior; Richarlison.
BRAZIL SUBS: Alex Sandro, Fred, Weverton, Dani Alves, Fabinho, Bruno Guimaraes, Antony, Rodrygo, Everton Ribeiro, Ederson, Bremer, Pedro, Gabriel Martinelli.
Tite will have slight concerns about his side's play in the final third. They've not been firing on all cylinders and need an injection of pace into their play in the middle of the park. He may have to alter the shape of his team to get the best out of Neymar and company in the final third because Croatia are comfortable at the moment.
We're heading to extra-time as neither side could find a breakthrough. Croatia are seasoned campaigners in extra-time, while Brazil will be looking to use their depth to break down Dalic's men at the back.
Neymar has changed the complexion of the quarter final at the perfect time for the Selecao. Brazil are 15 minutes away from a World Cup semi final.
The first 2022 World Cup quarter final will be decided by penalties as Bruno Petkovic's goal in the second half of extra-time cancelled out Neymar's strike. It has been an eventful game and the drama will only continue from the spot.
