FULL-TIME: PRESTON NORTH END 0-3 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
90'
F. Cross-Adair enters the game and replaces C. Evans.
Cross-Adair gets on for some late Preston minutes as Evans makes way.
89'
It is yet to flash up, but the board has been readied for three added minutes at Deepdale. Tottenham are cruising to the finish line.
87'
A. Danjuma has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by D. Kulusevski.
Kulusevski didn't have a hard task there, shrugging around the tired Preston defence to prod a delivery in, but he does so with a composure that has escaped him at times today. Encouragement late on for his boss, perhaps.
GOAL! PRESTON 0-3 TOTTENHAM! Danjuma puts some gloss on the game with a simple side-footed finish at close range. Woodman is furiously exhausted by that one, the softest he has conceded. Spurs ensure the match is a done deal as the substitute, on his debut, turns home Kulusevski's flat ball.
85'
Bryan Gil enters the game and replaces Son Heung-Min.
A round of applause comes for Son after his heroics from the away support, as Tottenham replace him with Gil for the closing stages.
82'
For Preston, the wait goes on. Expectations were not strictly high that they could produce an upset of note here, but they will rue their lack of clear-cut chances. An experience to learn from for the Championship hosts, this one.
80'
Victory here will make Spurs the fifth Premier League side into the hat for the fifth round then, alongside Manchester City, Leeds United, Leicester City and Southampton, You'd imagine they hope for lower-league opposition if possible.
78'
D. Johnson enters the game and replaces A. McCann.
Álvaro Fernández enters the game and replaces R. Brady.
Preston make their second change, with Fernandez on for Brady.
The hosts also make their third alteration, adding Johnson for McCann.
77'
Antonio Conte looks frozen still, but opposite number Ryan Lowe is continuing to bark instructions at his men. Preston have had a mixed one here, having neither been blown away nor lived up to their full potential despite a few flashes.
75'
The chances have dried up to a point, but is that any surprise? With a two-goal cushion, Spurs will wish to see this one through to the end with little fuss. It looks like Kane will need to wait another game for his shot at history.
Minute
Description
73'
That is a bitter pill for Preston to swallow. Son has a brace, and as the creative power-broker for Tottenham today, it is richly deserved. But Woodman in particular will feel hard done by after his work between the posts.
71'
O. Skipp enters the game and replaces R. Bentancur.
A. Danjuma enters the game and replaces R. Sessegnon.
Emerson Royal enters the game and replaces M. Doherty.
Tottenham make a second change too, bringing on Danjuma in place of Sessegnon.
Tottenham also make a sub call, bringing on Skipp for Bentancur.
A third swap in quick succession for the visitors completes the changes, with Emerson replacing Doherty.
70'
B. Woodburn enters the game and replaces R. Ledson.
With that goal, Preston signal a change as Woodburn replaces Ledson.
69'
Son Heung-Min has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by I. Perišić.
GOAL! PRESTON 0-2 TOTTENHAM! That is surely the cup tie for Spurs, and it is Son who rises to the occasion once again! The forward latches onto a sublime backheel touch from Perisic just outside the box, pivots and fires home at the right post, despite Woodman getting a glove to it.
He might not have found the net himself, but that assist from Perisic is almost as good as a goal. It's such a supreme touch to set up his team-mate. Tottenham look like they might be into the fifth round.
65'
Woodman stops a second Spurs goal! The keeper has earned his stripes despite that concession, and keeps this as a one-score match when he denies Perisic and a header from the centre of the box.
64'
Now Storey gets in on the action, forcing a save from Forster. The former England goalkeeper has not been overburdened today, it is fair to say, and he does his job comfortably here.
62'
That's not too far off the mark from Whiteman! The Preston man hooks a shot the wrong side of the left post. There is a definite improvement in the hosts and their offensive movement now.
61'
T. Cannon gets yellow.
Cannon looks to dart into the box on the left, spies Tanganga and turns before going to ground. The referee deems it to be a champion dive, but as this is the pitch and not the pool, he gets booked for it.
60'
Preston produce a corner of their own and move it around the edge of the box, but Spurs do enough to keep them at bay with comfortable ease.
58'
Now it is Preston who go on the attack and roll down the right wing. Tottenham have to shape up their defence to keep them at bay, but there's more promise now. The Deepdale crowd approves.
56'
Browne concedes the corner as Tottenham front up again. Preston do well to keep the attack at bay, however, and clear their lines for the moment. A sting of urgency is running through the hosts.
54'
With more than half an hour left on the clock, there is plenty of time for Preston to find a response. The question is whether they can. Will Tottenham restrict them to the defensive again, or can they press up higher?
52'
That was Son's third shot on target in this game, so it very much is a case of third time lucky. Tottenham needed that breakthrough, and now they have a lead to build on. Antonio Conte still looks frozen.
50'
Son Heung-Min has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by J. Tanganga.
Tanganga lays the ball on for Son there, but the work is singularly of the forward with his boots. It looked like it would take something special to beat Woodman and so it has been.
GOAL! PRESTON 0-1 TOTTENHAM! It's Son with the breakthrough and what a beauty it is too! The Spurs forward has tried his luck from distance a few times today, and this time he lashes it up and around with a left-footed curler to beat Woodman. Terrific stuff!
48'
It's another lively start from Spurs though, clearly with a team talk ringing in their ears to ensure they push up hard and find the breakthrough, They probe down the left, then the right and then back again.
46'
We're back under way at Deepdale, with no changes from either side. Surely it is only a matter of time before Tottenham introduce Kane.
45' +1
HALF-TIME: PRESTON NORTH END 0-0 TOTTENHAM
45'
There will be one added minute in this first half.
43'
A super challenge from Lindsay in the box! Kulusevski plays a one-two off Son to slip into the box and looks free for a shot, before the defender slides in with an excellent stop. Preston clear away.
41'
Sessegnon is showing liveliness on the left but he doesn't have his eye in today. His latest effort is chopped onto the roof of the net, somewhere between a looped shot and a cross.
39'
We're closing in on half-time at pace and Spurs are yet to find the breakthrough. Will they be able to pry their hosts open before the whistle goes for the interval?
37'
Stern defending sees the set-piece out for a corner, and then another. With the third bite of the cherry, Kulusevski floats a strike just over the crossbar.
35'
Now a free-kick comes the way of Tottenham, out on the right flank just a handful of yards away from the Preston box. Son will deliver...
33'
Sessegnon is flagged for offside chasing a Perisic ball through the middle of the Preston defence. It's a fissure the visitors came close to exploiting there.
32'
An exchange of long-range deliveries, in a true box-to-box sensibility, take the sting out of this one again. Woodman, his green kit drenched to a darker shade by the rain and the turf, is having a fine match today.
30'
The half-hour mark comes up at Deepdale and there is nothing to split these two sides. If it stays this way, could we see a certain England captain make an appearance sooner rather than later?
28'
Another chance for Preston now, as Ledson puts a right-footed effort just around the wrong corner of the goal. The hosts are still limited with time on the ball in this one, but they are finding a few cracks to probe.
26'
There's a brief delay to this match after a slate of white balloons encroach onto the pitch. Play is halted and players from both sides pop them together before we begin again.
24'
Another save from Woodman! A prolonged set of intricate plays from Tottenham cannot find a way into the Preston box. Son eventually just lashes a long-range effort in that the keeper gets his gloves to.
22'
A half-chance now for Preston though! Brady threads a long free-kick into the box and there's a deflected strike somewhere in the melee as Spurs rush to clear their lines, which they do after a flash of panic.
18'
A deflected Spurs strike is carried out of play by Woodman at his right post now. Son pumps it in, and Preston do enough to clear it with a nifty break of their own that forces Tottenham to backpedal en masse.
13'
After something of a hectic start, Spurs have taken their foot off the pedal. In drizzle-heavy conditions, there will be a need to conserve energy today. On the sidelines, Antonio Conte looks frozen in his woolly hat.
11'
It's a cold one in northern England, with a good number of players opting for the long sleeves. Preston are seeking to steady their footing here, having been pushed onto the back foot with ease so far.
9'
Bentancur flashes a leg out and catches Cannon as the forward looks to dance his way into the centre circle. It's a free-kick that allows the pressure to be relieved for the hosts.
7'
Perisic drills it into the wall and Kulusevski sees a pickup shot deflected wide. Preston muzzle the corner and escape the pressure for the moment.
5'
Son takes the set-piece, and spreads it wide. There's not enough height on it, but Spurs still come up trumps with a free-kick after Whiteman has a nibble at Tanganga's lower leg.
4'
A solid piece of work from the visitors releases Sessegnon down the left edge, and his booming cross into the box forces a corner for Tottenham.
2'
Early pressure from the hosts helps to pin Spurs into their back third, before they launch a long ball in search of Perisic to unlock themselves. It's a sturdy press from Preston so far.

We are under way in this FA Cup fourth-round clash between Preston North End and Tottenham!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the FA Cup fourth round, as Premier League heavyweights Tottenham make the trip to face Championship outfit Preston North End at Deepdale!
The days are short, the nights are long, it's late January in Britain, and in the north-west of England there's history to be made. But can this David and Goliath battle hand us a giant-killer upset? Or will it be business as usual?
Antonio Conte's Spurs make the trip up the M6 to Lancashire with the hope they can prolong their latest cup run. But Ryan Lowe's hosts will have their eyes on the last-16 too, and a major scalp to go with it.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (3-4-3): Fraser Forster; Japhet Tanganga, Davinson Sanchez, Clement Lenglet; Matt Doherty, Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon; Dejan Kulusevski, Son Heung-min, Ivan Perisic.
Substitutes: Brad Potts, Finlay Cross-Adair, Greg Cunningham, Alvaro Fernández, Daniel Johnson, Bambo Diaby, Ben Woodburn, David Cornell, Patrick Bauer.
PRESTON NORTH END (3-5-2): Freddie Woodman; Jordan Storey, Liam Lindsay, Andrew Hughes; Alan Browne, Alistair McCann, Ryan Ledson, Benjamin Whiteman, Robbie Brady; Ched Evans, Thomas Cannon.
Substitutes: Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Brandon Austin, Arnaut Danjuma, Emerson, Harry Kane, Bryan Gil.
This is an encounter generations in the making and with a rich lineage to match. Tottenham have met Preston on nine prior occasions in the FA Cup, but this will be the first time they face off in the competition since the 1967-68 season.
The teams have taken to the field at Deepdale. It's a vocal crowd in here for what promises to a major encounter. We are moments away from kick-off.
The hosts are in rarefied air too. They've not made it to the fourth round of the FA Cup since the 2017-18 season, and are chasing a first fifth-round appearance since the 2014-15 campaign.
While he may be on the bench, expect England skipper Kane to get a run-out if Preston prove a tough nut to crack. He has 14 goals in his last 14 FA Cup games, and scored Spurs' third-round winner against Portsmouth. Not only that, but he needs one more to become the club's outright all-time top scorer...
Until the next time then, thank you for joining us - and have a great weekend!
For Preston, mid-table in the Championship, their cup campaign ends here, but they can return their attention to domestic matters. They lie only two points off sixth in a congested race for promotion this term, and can put their focus squarely on that.
Antonio Conte bustles over to shake Ryan Lowe's hand. Given how frozen the Italian has been all game, he looks like a man trying to find his way to the nearest bathtub. His players will follow him victoriously.
