An ambitious attempt from a free-kick, taken around 25 yards out, is sent far over the crossbar by Anguissa.
90' +1
In the first of four minutes indicated for stoppage time, Atalanta still have possession but are not really threatening to even find a consolation goal. Their struggles in the final third have continued today.
89'
A. Lookman enters the game and replaces R. Tolói.
La Dea's top scorer Lookman is given only a few minutes to make any impact, as Toloi is withdrawn.
87'
Atalanta are finally having a little more of the ball, as Napoli sit off somewhat and look to coast home towards three more points: a long-awaited Scudetto draws ever nearer.
85'
A. Zerbin enters the game and replaces K. Kvaratskhelia.
G. Simeone enters the game and replaces V. Osimhen.
Having produced a memorable goal to open the scoring, Kvaratskhelia makes way; Zerbin is thrown on for a brief cameo.
Reacting with fury to his removal, Osimhen must make way after a rare goalless appearance, as Simeone comes on for the closing stages.
81'
Scalvini gets away with a trip on Kvaratskhelia, and more than one Napoli player asks the referee why the young defender isn't shown a second yellow card. Only a free-kick is awarded.
77'
Amir Rrahmani has scored a goal for Napoli! Assist by E. Elmas.
Setting up Napoli's crucial second goal, substitute set-piece taker Elmas sends over an inswinging cross from a corner towards the penalty spot.
NAPOLI SURELY SEAL IT! A towering header from Rrahmani sends the ball looping over the desperate dive of Musso and it nestles in the back of the net! Elmas has taken over set-piece duties from Zielinski, and it was his cross following a corner which set up the chance! It's now 2-0 to the Azzurri: game over?
76'
Juan Jesus enters the game and replaces Kim Min-Jae.
Due to injury, Kim is withdrawn by Spalletti, with Jesus coming on in his place.
71'
Just as Zapata is poised to pull the trigger on the edge of Napoli's box, Kim lunges in with a perfectly-timed tackle which sends the ball behind for a corner.

69'
D. Zappacosta enters the game and replaces J. Mæhle.
A straight swap on the right flank sees Zappacosta coming on for Maehle.
68'
J. Boga enters the game and replaces M. Pašalić.
Gasperini turns to his bench for inspiration - it has not been a great showing from La Dea. First, Boga replaces Pasalic.
From an Elmas corner, Olivera can't get any power on his header from near the penalty spot and Atalanta eventually survive Napoli's latest assault when the whistle blows for offside.
66'
T. Ndombélé enters the game and replaces P. Zieliński.
E. Elmas enters the game and replaces M. Politano.
Ndombele is also offered an opportunity to impress; Zielinski makes way.
A lively display from Politano comes to an early end, as Elmas comes on to provide fresh legs on the right flank.
64'
Zielinski is upended by De Roon's mistimed tackle in midfield, and Napoli will have a free-kick around 30 yards from goal in a central position.
60'
K. Kvaratskhelia has scored a goal for Napoli! Assist by V. Osimhen.
NAPOLI LEAD! Fed by Osimhen on the edge of the area, Kvaratskhelia typically sends three opposition defenders in the wrong direction with a series of shimmies, then he slams the ball past Musso and into the back of the net! It's 1-0 to the league leaders, and what a way to do it!
After Anguissa wins the ball back in midfield, Osimhen receives it and slides a short pass into Kvaratskhelia's path.
56'
Another hurried strike by Kvaratskhelia wastes possession deep inside the Atalanta half, and on this occasion he sees his scuffed effort crash into the advertising boards several feet wide of the left post.
54'
Napoli keep pushing. After Zielinski has a shot blocked by Ederson at close range, the ball breaks for Kvaratskhelia on the edge of the area. The Georgian rushes his shot, however, and sends it clear of the crossbar by more than a metre.
52'
Demiral is dragged across to shut down Osimhen, who has drifted out to the right flank, and the Atalanta substitute is happy to concede a corner by making a block.
46'
L. Muriel enters the game and replaces R. Højlund.
Muriel comes on to join his Colombian compatriot Zapata up front; Hojlund makes way.
Having made another substitution at the interval, Atalanta kick off, and we are back under way at Stadio Maradona!

HALF-TIME: NAPOLI 0-0 ATALANTA
45' +3
Osimhen over-elaborates as Napoli sense the chance to streak away on the counter, allowing Ruggeri to sprint back and snuff out the danger.
45' +1
In the first of three minutes indicated for stoppage time, Kvaratskhelia is dismayed not to be awarded a corner on the left byline. Still, Napoli probe in search of an opening goal.
44'
M. Demiral enters the game and replaces B. Djimsiti.
A muscular injury brings Djimsiti's game to a premature conclusion, so Demiral will slot into La Dea's back three as his replacement.
40'
Caught out of position, Kim commits a clear foul on De Roon as he tries to recover his ground and is fortunate not to receive a booking.
38'
Diving low, Musso easily beats Osimhen to a throughball from the right, but it was his proactive starting position which allowed him to do so.
36'
Di Lorenzo is fit enough to continue and rejoins the fray, with his team already back on the attack as Atalanta sit deep.
35'
The game continues at a lively pace, as Napoli continue to build waves of attacks. However, their momentum is then stalled by an injury to captain Di Lorenzo which halts play.
32'
An outswinging free-kick from the right by Zielinski meets the head of Osimhen near the penalty spot, but at full stretch, the Nigeria international can only send his attempt spiralling over the crossbar.
30'
G. Scalvini gets yellow.
Totally beaten for pace by Politano out on the left, Scalvini cynically trips the Napoli winger and is deservedly booked.
26'
Another set-piece from Zielinski, this time a left-sided free-kick, is not fully cleared by Djimsiti before Anguissa sees a shot charged down inside the area. Napoli continue to push for an opener.
24'
Zielinski's corner from the left is comfortably cleared away by the Atalanta defence, but Kvaratskhelia then receives the ball and his ambitious strike at goal is deflected behind for another corner-kick.
22'
Venturing into space, Hojlund hangs a cross up towards the back post from the right side of the area, but Pasalic is unable to control a header which flies well off-target.
20'
Letting fly with an attempt from the left corner of the area, Kvaratskhelia sees his powerful shot blocked at close range.
18'
V. Osimhen gets yellow.
After failing to bring it down first time, Osimhen tries to beat Ederson to the ball with an outstretched leg. His boot is raised too high, though, so the striker is shown a yellow card.
16'
Politano's free-kick from the right is flicked over the crossbar by a Rrahmani header from the edge of the area, an effort which never really troubles Musso.
15'
M. Ruggeri gets yellow.
For lunging into a 50-50 challenge with Di Lorenzo, the first booking of the game goes to Ruggeri.
13'
Osimhen is crowded out in the right corner as Ruggeri snaffles the ball away from Napoli's masked man, who only recently saw an eight-game scoring streak ended.
11'
Zapata makes his frustration plain as the referee blows for a foul on Di Lorenzo midway through the Napoli half. The hosts' skipper would've been in trouble if he'd lost the ball there, so was happy to go to ground.
9'
Some rugged defending from Djimsiti sees the Atalanta centre-back hustle Osimhen off the ball inside his own area, and the away side ultimately get rid of the ball. It's all one-way traffic, though.
7'
De Roon gets away with a very risky back-pass to Musso, who does well to divert disaster and manages to clear the ball under pressure from two Azzurri-clad forwards.
5'
As is customary at Stadio Maradona, the home side are enjoying plenty of the ball during the opening stages, while they probe for an opening in the Atalanta defence.
3'
Due to an injury suffered by first-choice goalkeeper Alex Meret in the warm-up, Napoli's on-loan back-up Gollini makes a first Serie A start for the leaders against his parent club!
1'
The hosts kick off, and we are under way in Naples!
Having finally suffered a first home defeat of the Serie A season, Napoli saw their huge advantage at the top of the table cut to 15 points last week. Despite their 1-0 loss to Lazio, Luciano Spalletti's side are still clear Scudetto favourites and will also take a two-goal lead into the second leg of their Champions League tie with Eintracht Frankfurt next week. The Partenopei have won only one of their last four home matches against Atalanta but were 2-1 winners in Bergamo when the clubs last met in early November.
Atalanta's recent decline has seen them slip out of Serie A's top four, and a run of just one point form the last three games leaves La Dea with plenty to do in order to secure a European return for next term. Hopes of Champions League qualification faded further following a 0-0 home draw with Udinese last week, a result which followed losses to Lecce and regional rivals Milan. However, the Bergamaschi's most recent trip to Naples ended in a 3-2 success back in December 2021.
