We're underway at Watford and the hosts find themselves immediately pushed back in the opening exchanges. They win themselves a throw-in; albeit one deep in a defensive position.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League as Watford host Burnley at Vicarage Road. The Hornets are looking for their first win in almost a month, having mustered a point from nine since beating West Brom in early March; can they do so against a Clarets side enjoying a run of good form with a trio of victories on the trot? Kick-off is just around the corner.
Burnley are looking to secure their first league double over Watford since the 2010-11 season when they were in the Championship; a Scott Arfield goal gave them a 1-0 win in the reverse at Turf Moor in December.
The teams are out at Vicarage Road.
Despite starting brightly, Burnley have been unable to muster more than a couple of shots in a tepid opening 45; but nor do Watford look likely to breach them, even with eight efforts on goal themselves. It's all to play for at the break; at half-time at Vicarage Road, it's Watford 0-0 Burnley.
It's four wins on the bounce for the Clarets now but they had to come from behind with the help of the goal-line decision system to down a scrappy Watford. The Hornets had 20 per cent more possession and 10 more corners than their opponents; yet Roberto Pereyra's cool strike wasn't enough for the hosts and Burnley's five-minute blitz to produce goals for Sam Vokes and Jack Cork means that it's the visitors who walk away with the points. Full-time at Vicarage Road; it finishes Watford 1-2 Burnley.
Both sides have a week to recover before they go again for the final weeks of the Premier League; Watford will travel to West Yorkshire to face an embattled Huddersfield Town side whilst Burnley host Leicester as they keep up the hunt for a European place next season. Until then however, thank you for joining us - and have a good weekend!
